  1. Sounds like TD conducted a real thorough analysis before drafting....
  2. And I believe the Lions just gave him a contract extension sometime in the past year...
  3. 1. How bad of a job has Ol'Whitey done? His performance barely exceeeds Matt Millens. 2. I was one of our fans foolishly disappointed that the Lions picked Joey Harrington before we had an opportunity. At least Millen made that mistake before we could have.
  4. In the past Ralph has come forward and made comments following poor performances. Has anyone seen any quotes from him relating to the latest fiasco?
  5. Somthing I doubt we'll ever improve on under TD and his need for a submissive HC
  6. What's worse is a moronic game plan or fixation by the coaches and QB to try to use him as a primary weapon...
  7. A General Manager making mistakes is one thing... they all do. I think that TD is an egomaniac, however. Not only the McKinnie situation, but his comments about Drew having success this year... "Wait until they see him the second time around"... I am disappointed by the lack of class he has displayed in both instances. He could not co-exist with Cowher and wants puppets for coaches. I can live with his mistakes (he has his share of "wins", also) but I have no respect for him. He would have a better future as a politician than as a "football man".
  8. I would love to see Peters leading a sweep!
  9. Different way to look at our fans and our stadiums... when I used to go to War Memorial it was a fairly unsafe urban area with wonderful fans on the inside of the stadium It was primarily a family atmosphere. Now the stadium is in a "safe" suburban setting and many of the fans are drunk, obscene and obnoxious. Although there are several "family friendly" sections, it is interesting how the locations and fans have changed.
  10. I think Glenn Parker was the last lineman we had that was an efficient "puller".
  11. Before the last play in the Chiefs/Raiders game he kept mentioniong that the only play to run was a "quick pass". He must have mentioned it 5 times. Lo and behold, the Chiefs run it in for a win. Good ol Randi... always right on top of things.
  12. Buffalo fans do a pretty good job of supporting losing teams and are far from "fair weather fans", but the apathy now displayed regarding Bill's discussions is well earned. What is there exciting or even interesting to talk about regarding this football team? We have a "Spin master" running the team and the fan base is tiring of his crap. I have been a fan for 40 years and suffered through Harvey Johnson, et al. There was still interest displayed by fans in discussing the Bills... even then. But the present Bills President is a political animal that has put together a team with little heart. I still frequent this board due to being a Bills fan and because there are several posters who I respect. I don't post a lot but enjoy reading the various comments. I think the interest in Bills discussions will pick up when we have a new, less political football man running this organization... and of course, when we show more heart and start winning again. It is one thing to lose but our team loses with no heart... that will turn off fans more than anything else.
  13. GREAT POINT!!! When a loss is a "step forward" it tells you all you need to know about a team and its' coaching staff.
  14. It is the team that quit... fans are just pissed...
  15. I have always believed that you could tell how good (or bad) a coaching staff is based on how they adjust in the second half. How have the Bills done in the second half of games? Bottom line... our coaches are outclassed.
  16. Remember "The Dirty Dozen"? "Posey, what kind of a name is that"?
  17. This will be an ugly game: a. The team is a bunch of quitters b. The Patriots will out coach us by a huge margin c. We will be behind early and get slaughtered trying to pass d. The game is on "prime time" where we tend to get destroyed
  18. I agree that they do not show any inclination to throwing deep with Holcomb. Yesterday, however, I don't think they would have had the time for many deep throws. Holcomb was getting hammered after almost every throw. He really took a beating. Our line was horrible!
  19. Well said! There were games last year where they quit and they continue to do so. Who compiled this team of quitters and coaches?... TD!!! TD cares more about making a name for himself on draft day than anything else. McGahee... Headlines! Losman... Headlines! This is his team. He has all the power and has made every decision. He only hires new/weak coaches that will be his puppets. As mentioned plenty of times before... he seems to be rated as if he is a business manager (bottom line... ticket sales) and that is more important than wins. Well, this business is about to go south... I would think that ticket sales will start to decline. On top of all his mistakes, he is an arrogant man that talks to a decent group of football fans as if he is the only one that "gets it". He has assembled a bunch of quitters and he should follow the players lead and "quit" himself!
  20. Sports Illustrated has a nice piece on Bledsoe's good year. They quote Tom Donahoe as saying... "He is playing against primarily NFC opponents that have not seen him in a while. Wait until the second time around". I know I do not have the quote verbatim, but it is close. I can't wait to see how this year plays out. Either: 1. Bledsoe plays great all year, Donahoe' s major mistake is revealed and his comments reflect his own failure. 2. Bledsoe falls on his face in the second half and Tom is a genius. Initially, I took his comments as sour grapes and that he felt that he could not have been wrong, but now I am interested in seeing how the year plays out. He also mentioned that part of Drew's success was due to good pass protection. That comment left me scratching my head. We have all been crying for improvements in the offensive line for quite some time and now he attributes part of Drew's good year to good pass protection. Where was that thinking while Drew was here?
  21. My complaint regarding that publication is that they shy away from criticizing the coach and his staff. Mularkey writes an article each issue and perhaps that is why they do this. When they give out grades, they do not even grade the coaches. I would prefer less biased reporting and if he picks the opposing team to win... so be it.
  22. but when Sam Adams "comes to play" he has amazing quickness off the ball for a man of his size and age. He almost seems to know the snap count. When he is motivated, he is a lot of fun to watch.
  23. but does anyone else feel that Randy Cross and his broadcasting partner were almost rooting for the Dolphins?
  24. RJ = The blankety-blank (1972?) undefeated Dolphins coming out of the woodwork each year a team is undefeated after the sixth game of the season
  25. We will never get a coach like Saban as long as we have a "control freak" of a President/GM.
