  1. Nice "effort" on kick returns, also...
  2. Did anyone see if Edwards ever came back out onto the sideline or hear any other reports than the television report of his having a concussion? Thanks
  3. I met Harry Jacobs during his playing days. He wasn't that big but played with a lot of heart. He talked about working a job during the off season and did a lot of work with church groups. Very nice guy. Met Joe D. last month. He was very funny and still looks in great shape. He talked about wanting to kick Gene Upshaw's ass. Intense guy but was very friendly.
  4. With all the field goals we kept kicking due to not being able to get into the end zone, I couldn't help but to think of a few alley-oops to Hardy.
  5. I wasn't even thinking about a 4th round tight end; more like some offensive or defensive line depth.
  6. If this is the "best player available" philosophy, they are taking this idea way too far. There are definately more glaring needs on this football team than cornerback (especially after our first pick). Stupid...
  7. We administer this test for applicants that we are considering offering positions to. The 50 question test has a 12 minute time limit and that really impacts the results. The highest score I have seen in all the years of people taking the test (administered to people from clerical to executive positions) was a 48. Believe me, that time limit is a huge factor.
  8. Strongest arm that I have ever seen... bar none!
  9. Could Jerry possibly open up the checkbook and go after Chalie Weiss?
  10. Lee Evans would also be a fine representative...
  11. Think of how bad he would be without Plaxico. I can't count the amount of times he has just thrown the ball up for grabs and Plaxico has bailed him out. He has the Joey Harrington shakes... he is terrified any time there is a good pash rush. Be careful what you wish for... you wanted New York, now deal with it.
  12. Mort is probably considering booting Old Whitey from their love nest...
  13. I don't know how McCargo will eventually turn out, but Kyle Williams is playing some outstanding defensive tackle!
  14. AI should be the poster child for "What is wrong with the NBA?"
  15. Your comment regarding Gates is concerning. As good as Fletcher has played this year he is still somewhat weak in pass coverage. With the responsibility he has in the cover 2, the middle of the field may be open for the Chargers. We came up with a plan to somewhat "contain" Indy, hopefully the coaching staff can do it again.
  16. Excuse me, Genius. I do not know this, but I am sure you do... in the AFL days wouldn't the Chargers have had home and away jerseys? I get so tired of crappy remarks from dimwits such as yourself...
  17. Can someone please tell me if the Bills thowback uniforms will be worn this week? It would be fun to have both teams wear their old uniforms.
  18. From everything I have read about Spikes, I would not bet against him. His desire and attitude are just incredible. If I picked one player on the Bill's that could come back strong from this injury, it would be Spikes. Give him a year, this guy is a special kind of football player and person!
  19. I know there have been a couple of internal organ injuries lately and I just wonder if on an injury like a broken rib if the player and medical staff just try to be very careful until a diagnosis is made. Perhaps the staff insisted he take a cart.
  20. I broke a couple of ribs last year and would have gladly taken a cart...
  21. 50 and want to see him get the rest of the season. I question if he has the necessary instints to be a successful NFL quarterback but it only makes sense to commit the rest of the year to him.
  22. It's a good thing that there weren't Bill's chat rooms during the Harvey Johnson, Hank Bullough eras based on the commentaries we see now. I found myself to be very apathetic regarding the game. Starting with the confusion on their first drive (third and one... time out, etc) I felt discouraged with the lack of progress in several areas. It is the type of feeling I had in Greggo's first season... love the Bills, root for them every game, but I have little faith in their competency. I am sure they will eventually improve, but I have accepted that for at least this year... they are a poor football team.
  23. Great question. I also consider myself a Buffalo fan. I have lived in several cities since I moved away from Buffalo in 1979 including Cleveland and Detroit, but my allegience never changes. I always root for the Buffalo teams. Strange how wherever I have lived there are Dallas and Miami fans that have never lived in those areas. I am very defensive about Buffalo teams and the city itself and have no logical explanation for it. I take pride in being from Buffalo even though I have now spent over half my life not living there.
  24. One thing Harrington is not... is a tough player. From the games I have seen him play, he is far from a courageous leader.
