  1. I believe he got a 49/50 on the Wonderlic and finished it in 9 minutes... which is almost unheard of.
  2. Bad... I am thinking "Harvey Johnson" type bad.
  3. Fred Jackson made excellent runs and was a very effective running back. He has barely seen the field. Playing Spiller is one thing but why in the world did Marshawn start and play so much? It has to be to display him with trade hopes in mind. Other than that, why has Jackson been given such few opportunities? Not that anything these clowns do (continue to start Kelsey, etc) but this is ridiculous.
  4. No comment about his personality but interesting you mentioned scrawny and steroidless... If I remember correctly, his Dad was in medicine (Doctor or something similar) and they really strived to have him protect his knees by staying light. Again if memory serves me right, he may have been listed at 300 pounds but was never near that weight. Good to hear that their strategy kept his knees healthy. My recollection matches the comments about continuous discussions about moving him to center and he was, at best, a mediocre tackle.
  5. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Imagine Marshawn running amok in the streets of Green Bay...
  6. Why in the world do we move a horrific defensive end to outside linebacker? What am I missing here?
  7. Thanks... I was just comparing them at both positions.
  8. Wilson is a far superior free safety than Donte... but they are both now playing strong safety.
  9. Very true... I am a survivor of melanoma and have a very fair-skinned daughter we have to watch closely. I was diagnosed about 17 years ago, went thru extensive surgery and have had no further incidents. It was very frightening how a little mole or "spot" can lead to death. I truly feel for his family. My condolences, also.
  10. Born in Lockport in 1956. Raised in Clarence and graduated in 1974. Went away to college and left Buffalo area after graduation (due to employment). I have never been able to move back to Buffalo but my heart will always remain there. I have never (lived in Bradford, PA. Cleveland, Detroit and Toledo, OH) been able to find subs, pizza or wings that compare to Buffalo. Will go to my grave as a proud Buffalonian that supports the city and its sports teams.
  11. I would have to slide Bullough into second place but it is hard to be worse than Johnson was... good call.
  12. Coach... Harvey Johnson second worst... Kay Stevenson
  13. Back when Harris played there were rumors that he could throw from end zone to end zone and occasionaly did so in practice...
  14. Interesting story I heard about Fina (and no, I have not tried to confirm it)... supposedly his Dad was in the medical field and pushed John to keep his weight below a certain limit to avoid future problems with his knees, etc. If this is true, I do remember him as being competent but not having the bulk or strength to help him become more dominant. If this plan worked and his knees are healthy... good move, but he was not at Peter's performance level.

  16. Two higher than he should be...
  17. Other than being big and strong enough to absorb the beating our offensive line will provide him, I say no thanks!
  18. I just found out about this (thanks to Stuck in Cinci) and hope Beerball's recovery goes well. All petty things in life go away when something serious arises. My family is keeping him and his family in our prayers.
  19. Great point... I think the fan base would like it, also.
  20. Could not agree more. Steady players that continue to improve, make contributions and lead through efforts, not big mouths!
  21. Robert James... one of the best cornerbacks in the history of the game.
  22. Quality LEADER that has earned respect... pay attention Donte. George should team with Byrd for the next few years as an excellent safety combo.
  23. For years the NFL has had 2 Saturday games the last 2 weeks of the season. Does anyone know how or why that changed? I don't know if it has anything to do with the NFL network or not. I know there was a Friday night game last week. I used to love seeing 4 games on those two weekends. For all I know it changed a couple of years ago and I just noticed due to a busier personal schedule. Just curious...
  24. London Fletcher was (and still might be) a great middle linebacker against the run. My complaint against him (and I doubt it has changed) was that during his Bills tenure he was terrible in pass coverage. There were dozens of times he was always behind the pass recipient when a key third down was completed. I felt that our opponents game planned to pick on him when they needed key pass completions. Perhaps he has improved in Washington but I have not watched the Redskins this year and cannot state a fair opinion. Based on what I saw when he was in Buffalo, I could never consider him a pro bowler but he was an active, hustling run stopper.
