  1. Balos on Baily and Lovejoy (anyone remember that one?)... They were rumored to serve horsemeat, but if it was it was good horsemeat. I think it burned down years ago but it had ridiculous beef and wicks.Doesn't help you now but it brings back memories.
  2. Are the bean counters in daily glee that they have kept expenses so low (even though attendance is now suffering and the team sucks)? Are Buddy's staff members upset and dissapointed (or taking naps)? Is the rank and file on pins and needles worrying about jobs and what do you think their moods are? Is being "PC" at Bills' headquarters to put on a happy face, be apathetic or storm around? What do you think?
  3. Thanks... I was just curious. I have been following them from their inception and have seen so many frustrating years you do occassionaly wonder about loyalty. The Kelly years were the exception... years of Ralph's "thriftiness" and pathetic coaching choices make an old Bills fan a little more hardened. I love the Bills and will always be a loyal fan but is a wonder to me why I feel that way.
  4. Yes, you remain loyal to a team! But, I am curious... how long have you been following the Bills?
  5. Always proud to be a Bills fan... kind of like a badge of honor when you tell people outside of Buffalo. Normally they just say "wow", "good for you" or just smile. Buffalo Bills fans are a hardy bunch that are continually frustrated but extremely loyal!
  6. In my case it has been a "family" event. We used to go the Rockpile and then on to Rich Stadium as a family. Now that I live out of the area, my Dad, my brothers and I have weekly phone conversations and the Bills always come up. My 19 year old son is a Bills fan (even though he was born and raised in Toledo). It is funny how over the years he will ask questions like "Dad, why do the Bills always suck?". I honestly don't know why I remain so loyal to them. If I can't go to a game I watch it on Direct TV and never miss a game. I have become more relaxed as they disappoint year after year. Years ago my Dad made a very simple comment that has stayed with me... "Son, there is more to life than the Buffalo Bills".
  7. That 3rd and 11 blitz could not have been more obvious... A little leugue QB could have seen that coming. league
  8. Great... one of the few tough players from a gutless team is now out...
  9. Now that is the appropriate word... "manhandled"... 3 games in a row; that is the reason for "doom and gloom" (and the reason for fans to call this team out).
  10. As a 40+ year Bills fan, I have "seen it all" and... a team getting smoked like this 3 games in a row deserves all the doom and gloom rants that are written. They are a joke!
  11. Brad Smith is our version of a "kick-off catcher"...
  12. You have to love how much heart he plays with and he is an outstanding player in all facets but one... he is a liability in pass coverage. Always has been. Poz was no better, either. Barnett is a step up; great leader, good tackling and the bonus he provides... he can cover against the pass.
  13. I play the headline game also, but I think he is an excellent columnist. I know he harps on the negative but the Bill's have been deserving of that type of commentary for years. It is tough, however, to jump all over Nix because of Merriman. Most coaches/GM's that go to new teams have faith in players from their previous experiences.
  14. Glenn Parker, Jon Davis, Paul McGuire (better known as a commentator that a linebacker and punter), Harry Jacobs
  15. I am quite sure the body slammer was Dave Washington, linebacker. My memory is going but it happened in front of me and I think he was the guy.
  16. In games prior to last week they did take shots down the field and I don't remember one single shot they took against Philly. I am sure the WR injuries have a lot to do with it. I hope they try stretching it once in a while in future games or I would not be surprised to have us turn over the ball if we do nothing but throw short passes.
  17. I believe he finished it in 13 minutes, which is also sick.
  18. It is high time he is recognized as such and... Nix and the coaches need to swallow their pride and treat Spiller as a "Reggie Bush" type back! Fred has been running with this type of passion for a long time, is a great blocker and can catch the ball! Spiller should be nothing more than a change of pace back.
  19. How can you respect any network that has Michael Irvin as a commentator?
  20. Just like you... thanks!
  21. From Ruthless People... "This could very well be the stupidest person on the face of the earth".
  22. Nice call on James. He revolutionized pass coverage. I was at the game that he blew out his knee. It was a terrible looking injury.
  23. And Chandler was one of the best downfield blockers ever. He was a great player but through time has become underrated.
  24. Frd Jackson is such a complete back, I don't think Spiller's opportunities will increase that much.
