  1. We HAVE to have someone better to return kicks!
  2. Get some “professional” receivers!!!!!
  3. After decades of frustration, to see blowouts 25% of the time leaves little room for patience. If there are petulant statements made by fans, I feel they would become minimal if “professional” players and coaches were to perform at a competitive level.
  4. It's amazing how things change. My Dad started taking me to games at the Rockpile. I have been a fan since their inception. Raising my son in Toledo, he has always been a Bills fan (he is 26).The memories I have throughout the years will always be with me, although we have seen some pathetic teams and coaches over the years. About 20 years ago, my Dad made a simple statement after one of their ridiculous losses... "there is more to life than the Buffalo Bills". My 4 brothers and I have laughed over that expression for years. I follow them, either attend games or watch on Directv but am no less of a fan if I stop watching one of their Barnum and Bailey performances. My son, brothers and I treat the Bills as a "family event" that we enjoy successes with and are disappointed when they play poorly. My Dad passed away this summer and one of the things I will treasure will be the families memories and sufferings of the Bills. Just remember "there is more to life than the Buffalo Bills".
  5. Coordinators and line coach need to go. Maybe that might shake things up.
  6. The blowouts are my greatest frustration. They reflect poor coaching. lack of leadership and a bunch of quitters. Sure, talent (or lack of) is a factor but there are serious other issues when a team is blown out fairly regularly.
  7. Bobby Chandler
  8. 12 men on the field, challenging a call (bottom of the pile) that was not winnable, unprepared and out coached to start the game... I am sure the second half will allow continued “process” discussions... McMoron shows so many weaknesses... but to his credit the coaching staff made some positive halftime adjustments. The negatives seem to outweigh the positives but there were some glimmers of hope.
  9. Is he so unobservant and clueless during games that he cant tell they suck without watching the tape? He inspires no confidence. Loser
  10. Harvey Johnson, Kay Stephenson, Sean McDodo. Yep, can start to compare.
  11. Same here. No opener has compared to this one. Can’t wait to hear coach’s pathetic post game comments.
  12. I have followed the Bills since their inception. I still watch all their games and follow them as a fan. I used to watch all other possible games (1:00, 4:00, 8:00, Monday night but no more. Maturity, more time with family, other interests... I could care less about other teams. I will generally watch the playoffs and Super Bowl but a lot of times only a half or so. Why... spoiled athletes, other interests... I don't have a great explanation, maybe when you get in your sixties you find there is more to life than the NFL. I have had a similar experience with all major professional sports. I lived for the NBA (old Celtic/Lakers rivalries, then Magic versus Bird, but then team play went away and I cant remember the last time I watched an NBA game.
  13. Met him at a church function when I was pretty young. I remember his discussing how he had to work an additional job (along with being a Bill)... how times have changed!
  14. Why pick on Pegula... wasn't Russ there?
  15. When asked that question (homosexual) in the movie "Stripes"... Harold Ramis... "No, but we would be willing to learn".
  16. Harry Jacobs... met him as a kid. I will always remember what a "regular guy" he was and the fact that he told us he had to work a second job to make ends meet. Todays' NFL players probably could not even grasp that concept.
  17. He was terrible in pass coverage, athleticism or not...
  18. I am glad he is gone but he was not granted any favors by MCD/Beane with the loss of Woods and Watkins and the addition of Tolbert. Again, he deserved to be fired but part of our offensive woes were due to a lack of talent.
  19. If you can find a biography on Murphy, he is a very interesting story. I was on his high school team, he was a star in three sports and the nicest guy you could ever meet. Not surprised he would make a statement like that. It's a helluva story making the Redskins as a free agent in the George Allen era and where his career led him after his playing days.
