With their defense and running game, mediocre QB play might be enough to be problematic. Wilson isn't lighting the world on fire tonight but here they are at the end of the 3rd tied 20-20 after being down 17-0.
? I don't understand. Isn't that the issue? He's got no place to throw the ball and the D-line is carving up the Chiefs pass protection. Mahomes doesn't just suddenly suck.
I'm still more worried about the Jets than either of them. Feel free to laugh at this. If I had to win a game I'd rather play Miami or KC before the Jets.
If the Jets have wins over KC AND Buffalo without Aaron Rodgers they deserve a little bit of talk.
Wilson showing some confidence and competence is an unwelcome development.
He made good decisions all day. One I pointed out to my family was the ball he threw to Cook. He also had Knox open on that play but it would have required Josh to throw back across his body which is always dangerous. He didn't do that and instead he took the safer throw to Cook up the sideline where, if he missed, nothing bad could happen.
You keep attacking as a defense knowing that you will give up some plays. The trade off is that you will make some. Bernard dropped an INT that would have stopped the first drive.
I guess it depends on the house. For me the south facing side of my roof points to my backyard. My backyard abuts common space and woods so nobody would ever see them, including me. I don't often walk out into the woods to gaze back at my own house.
The Tesla roofs look nice but I trust Tesla about as far as I can throw Elon so there's that...
The Dolphins set Hamlin on fire last December. Not a great time for him to see his first action of the season. Show me Rapp and Lewis maybe some Siran Neal
It's this, which is why the answer to the OP question is no. Dorsey has no idea what to do with either him or Knox other than to have them as checkdown dump off options. We were told there were mismatches to be had. Show men Ken finding and exploiting those mismatches. We are told teams are playing a lot of two deep shell. Well, the place to attack that is the seam in the middle. Ken has not attacked that seam.
They have absolutely no idea how to use 1 TE let alone 2. Everything they get is a dump off or thrown to them running towards the sidelines. Nothing attacking the center of the field. We are seeing a lot of 2 high safeties? Hmm, where is the hole in that defense I wonder....
Murphy was an excellent color commentator. He has never been a good PBP man. I agree that Brown is better, but that's not a high bar. He has room for improvement and hopefully, given time, he will improve. Murphy, given time, got worse.
