  1. Over/under is 39.5
  2. Yes. Let's see what happens as they get more tape on Brady and his tendencies. Can he continually evolve or does he get stagnant and predictable too?
  3. Andy Dalton did that. Sean tried to lose that year and, per usual, had a dog ass offensive game plan in that playoff game
  4. It's not that he doesn't have designed runs. They aren't getting the cheap yards from scrambling either. He's currently Aaron Maybin.
  5. McDermott has been overmatched since day 1 and has been fortunate enough to be able to out talent most of the teams he faces. Now that he can't do that you see what happens. Sean needs to scheme up some wins and it's not happening.
  6. I don't think Bills fans are tougher on coaches than anyone else. Right now I think we expect to see a well run, well disciplined team and we don't see that. We see stupid sloppy errors that are costing them games. Not talent issues or physical errors, mental errors. The sort of errors that teams that are generally considered to be well coached don't see. They also see the team frequently starting slowly and in a malaise, indicating that they aren't ready to play and/or that the game plan was poorly conceived. At this point McDermott is a veteran coach. People get pissy with dumb mistakes. Eagle fans rode Andy Reid's clock management, horrible press conferences, and failure in big games for years.
  7. He just lost the World Series. He's perfect.
  8. When did this become a qualifier? Most of the people who criticize anyone haven't done that thing. Most of the people who criticize my field haven't done it. Most people who criticize the President haven't been President. Does that mean we can't assess whether or not they are doing a good job? Certainly doesn't seem to stop anyone. Media or not. I know I hang on Cris Collinsworth and Tony Romo's every word. They played football after all. And if it's Dorsey they need to fire the offensive quality control people too because self scouting is their job. If the league figured out the offense they should be seeing it. But then again what do I know about football.
  9. And he does what is valued in the NFL. He cheats.
  10. Does it count if I didn't want him in the first place? He intentionally started Nathan Peterman that season. He didn't bail out crap.
  11. It's not about that. The more obtuse judgement calls you introduce into the game the more you can control the outcome. Holding isn't called until it is magically once or twice in huge spots, pass interference, illegal contact, roughing the QB, now stuff like this. All of it can be called almost every play but isn't. Then insert the what is a catch or not crap, intentional grounding, hell even delay of game has become subjective. It's all in the up and up though.
  12. Well thank God that's not the case. Look at the model of success the sabres are. Hockey heaven I'm told.
  13. I'd feel better about losing for draft position if they were better at drafting.
  14. Some people call that trying to put a square peg into a round hole.
  15. Based on his time in Carolina I don't expect much. Also, we hired the QB Coach who was at the helm during a massive regression by...the QB. I can't wait to see what's next.
  16. You missed a great game. The kids beat a school who hadn't lost a game in about 3 years. I went to bed happy and slept well. How about you?
  17. I probably suck, but I look at friends as people who come in and out of your life at a particular place at a particular time. Sometimes you stay friends for a long time because that thing that brought you together stays constant, sometimes you drift apart and that's ok. It's not that I don't like you anymore it's just that the thing that bonded us in the first place is gone. You have your stuff, I have my stuff. Rather than try to force that relationship to continue it's ok to let it fade and make new connections in your current place and time. Out of all the people I considered friends in grade school or high school I still talk to one on a semi-regular basis. He's a great dude, love him to death, but we've lived 300+ miles apart for almost 30 years now. We've both moved on and grown in ours lives. We touch base every now and again and it's nice to do that and if we lived closer it would be much easier to reestablish that bond but as it is I'm good with it. Out of all my college friends I still talk to 3 and I only see one of them regularly. Not including the one I ended up marrying. I see her every day. The one I see regularly lives near me, the other two don't hence I don't see them often. Friends from former jobs? Yeah, nobody. Grade school/high school people are hard. So many grew up to be so different from what you knew. I have people I used to know who are in prison for some unpleasant things and that's not the person I knew when I was a kid. A bunch of my high school friends are dead. Several didn't make it out of their 20's. One of my college friends died before we got out of college. I also don't do the social media thing anymore which probably makes it more difficult, but to be honest I feel like all of the is totally superficial and not really relationship maintenance. It's LAMPing 99% of the time with the other 1% being heinous crap that makes you question why you liked them in the first place. Deleting all of that was the best move I've made in the last 10 years. You miss the dopamine hits at first, but once that stops, you don't miss it at all and you become glad you're not part of it.
  18. Two things, 1. this Jets game feels like a battle of wills between two teams determined to show who is worse. 2. that field is horrible.
  19. You're coming to my kid's hockey game? Cool, I'll save you a seat.
  20. I'm ok with that. You feel free to ride it all the way down. I've done that enough times.
  21. And there it is. The offense is relatively healthy. McDermott likes to talk about complementary football. Well, when your defense is banged up your offense has to pick up some slack, potentially score more and it's been the exact opposite.
  22. Even then the offense was disjointed and relying on Allen to be ridiculous. They played well against Miami.
  23. Getting fined for taunting in a game where you ultimately got beat down is amusing and probably indicative of the actual problem.
  24. Not crying. Just stating it. I'm out. I might browse here for poops and grins. Whatever. I've watched enough of this sport to know a turd when I see it. If the game was 1:00 on a Sunday I'd probably watch out of habit but this night BS for a crap team against another crap team that will probably beat them? No thanks.
