Bills visit with Olympic Gold Medalist Gable Steveson

He'd also play with ungodly leverage and tackle like nobody's business. Honestly, I've heard crazier things. He's a ridiculous athlete in a sport that translates quite a bit to football. -

I didn't know Casa di Pizza was underrated. Is it still good after they moved off Elmwood?

If they are relying on Claypool to be anything other than a bum they are going to be disappointed. -
Watching old games from the late 80's and early 90's is a similar experience. The game is so different. My son tries to engage my in debates about who the best players of all-time are and he obviously always skews to more recent players. I often remind him that all of those old QBs got absolutely abused in ways that the modern guys don't have to deal with. The guys they were throwing to got abused too either because they were allowed to be held all over the place or because you had safeties whose entire job it was to kill you if you went over the middle of the field. We gnash our teeth about Taylor Rapp right now. He'd be an absolute lightweight of a hitter 25-30 years ago. Prime Ronnie Lott, Steve Atwater, Leonard Smith, psychopaths like Chuck Cecil. "Dad why didn't QBs run like Lamar and Josh back then?" Because they'd have died doing it and they'd have put the hits into highlight VHS tapes that they sold back to you or, like this, put it into the intro video for the weekly broadcast. I still remember the hit Steve Pelleur took from Mike Singletary and the one Joe Ferguson took from Wilbur Marshall in 1985, Bryce Paup knocking out Paul Justin in 1995, etc.

Whoever they paid to do it. There are plenty of accountants, and accounting firms, with zero integrity whatsoever.

They should run for President.

It'd probably be easier to get my boys to attend youth group in this scenario...

That was definitely Albert Pujols, obviously different sport, but that will never be topped. -

I really do wish they'd have them run in helmets and pads. It makes a difference. -

Probably the best late round fantasy football draft choice I ever made. -
First look at Bills 2024 roster
That's No Moon replied to No_Matter_What's topic in The Stadium Wall
There's a lot of competition, but the Bills lost several core ST guys and Shavers is apparently an excellent gunner. He's going to compete for a spot at the backend of the roster. I also think Hamler has a shot as well. If he can stay healthy, he can play, and he's a PR which they currently need. I don't think the FA that Beane referenced working out and signing today is going to be anyone of major consequence so that roster spot is still up for grabs. -
I'd imagine he's a solid tackler fundamentally. You aren't allowed to block in rugby. Catching the ball over his head wouldn't be something he's used to doing very often. They drafted him as a physical freak of nature. Beane mentioned that Kromer went to his work out and liked him. They get to hang on to him basically for free for a while so give Kromer a piece of unmolded clay, with no bad habits to break, and see what he can do. If it doesn't work out it doesn't work out. If it does? That's just free real estate. I hope the kid moves in with Kromer immediately. Legitimately. Into his house. Just don't touch his beach chairs. Having a roster and PS exemption makes a big difference.

I remember when Anquan Boldin ran a 4.7 then set the league on fire as a rookie. -
OK, so which veterans are still out there? Obviously it doesn't need to be any of these people and it could be a random but this is who seems to be there that most of us would have heard of. Courtesy SpoTrac Hunter Renfrow Allen Robinson OBJ Michael Gallup Tyler Boyd Michael Thomas MVS Russell Gage DJ Chark Jamal Agnew Mecole Hardman Jakeem Grant Chase Claypool Deandre Carter Sterling Shephard Richie James Jalen Guyton There are a couple other guys that honestly I haven't heard of. The only one with history with Brady is Michael Thomas but Michael Thomas hasn't been himself since 2019 so I'm not sure how much that matters. He's probably cooked at this point even though he's only 31. He caught 149 passes in 2019 then wrecked his ankle and never really came back from it. He's also been a bit of a headache so IDK if that's what they are looking for in a team with a leadership transition happening. Allen Robinson is probably done as well. It'd be easy to attribute last season to the Steelers QBs, but he struggled the year before with the Rams also who clearly had buyer's remorse after signing him as a FA. He had foot surgery, went on IR, and the Rams gave him away for essentially nothing to Pittsburgh and Pittsburgh just released him after bringing in QB help so they clearly weren't impressed either. He hasn't had a good season since 2020 with the Bears. OBJ gets brought up around here all the time. He hasn't played a full season since 2019 and has averaged 25 catches a year for 4 years straight. He's also been a headache. He did have a solid playoffs for the Rams in 2021...right before he tore his ACL again. Last season for Baltimore he had 4 catches for 35 yards in 2 playoff games. It's entirely possible that he's done. I'm not going through all of them, but I don't think it's any of these last 3. It'd be a nice karma signing as well. He was the guy who really broke the drought, not Dalton.
