  1. Is he though? He beat up on the SWAC East and lost 2 straight bowl games to MEAC schools. He was able to outrecruit that level of program and then he brought several of those players to Colorado including his kids. Last year they were more competitive against the bottom echelon of the PAC-12 but they got stomped by Washington and Oregon and needing to beat a bad Washington St. to keep bowl eligibility alive they no-showed and got stomped again. He's doing a better job of recruiting than his predecessor certainly, but IDK if that constitutes doing a "great" job. Particularly when you consider how many of the old players he got rid of and how many of his new recruits came in during the hype of year one. It wasn't a typical year one where he recruited freshmen and you're waiting for them to grow with this year's recruits etc. He straight up poached whoever he could get his hands on and that got him 4 wins. Will they be better this year? Maybe. They certainly have a weaker schedule which will help them.
  2. Can they race to the death or something? Have them chased by lions so they are properly motivated?
  3. Pretty sure the law governing this in Florida is for suits $50k+ and his ask is probably +. It should be anyway. The Mrs. is allergic to peanuts and tree nuts and stuff like this is always a tremendous concern when we eat out. Things that are undisclosed or mislabeled or included when they shouldn't be can kill her. She's had dishes come out that are supposed to be nut free on the menu come out with nuts all over and in them because someone in the back was careless. Baked goods? Forget it. People put all sort of stuff in those without telling anyone. There was a situation in a grocery store not too long ago, a 3rd party provider had made a bunch of cookies and mislabeled them, not including the allergens on the label. Yeah it's a mistake, but it's a mistake that can legitimately and very easily kill people. The Mrs. travels to Orlando on business regularly and often goes to Disney Springs to eat. That will no longer be happening. Sure it can happen anywhere, but the way Disney is choosing to handle this, by denying responsibility and trying to hide behind arbitration tells me they don't feel any strong sense of urgency to change their policies and procedures at their restaurants because they feel shielded. That Disney is trying to hide behind an agreement that was signed in reference to its streaming service or even because someone had bought a ticket to its theme park once is BS and hopefully the courts treat it that way and a jury gets to hear how they tried to weasel out of their responsibility. If the restaurant was inside EPCOT and this happened there on the day they had gone to the park I could MAYBE see using this sort of agreement but it's not. Disney Springs is basically a mall for anyone who has never been. It's not inside a park, you don't need a ticket, you can come and go as you please.
  4. You should be. Tons of places who got new stadia and jacked up prices ended up drastically changing their gameday experience. Philly isn't even remotely the same with the new place. There are plenty of people who would tell you that's a positive thing but it's a fact that a ton of the people who used to sit in the old 700 level at the Vet just don't have tickets anymore. Philly is a way bigger place than Buffalo so there were more people and corporations around to scoop up the empty seats. It's not just about people in Buffalo either. Plenty of people travel in for games too. I try to make it at least once a season. I doubt that I will ever see the inside of the new stadium. I'm just not going to pay that kind of money plus what it costs to travel up there when I can watch the game at home on a nice big TV in my warm and dry house. If I went by myself maybe, but with my boys and my Dad you're looking at a minimum of 4 tickets. If the wife or my Mom want to go that's 5 or 6. 370 a ticket times 6? $2,200? Face value? For one game? Not including anything else it takes for me to get there? No thanks. I like football. I like it a lot. I'm not spending 5 or 6 percent of my income to bring my family to ONE game. God bless you people who are doing it and then paying the King's ransom on top of it. Maybe if I still lived there the math would make more sense for me, but I doubt it.
  5. He's a different sort of WR from Davis, but I don't understand why Hunter Renfrow doesn't have a job.
  6. Yeah but he wears shoes and uses cutlery. He couldn't possibly be savage enough.
  7. Can we call Gibran Hamden instead?
  8. I long for the day when this name is no longer uttered in this forum.
  9. That's fine, but ppl have NO trouble nailing Bass.
  10. My unpopular take on the KC game is that Josh blew that when he went for the EZ rather than just getting the first down. Needed a TD on that drive or to run more clock. That game was lost by the offense, as bad as the defense was they did just enough where they were in position to win.
  11. It's a dam fine business model. Note: I'm trying to get a new gig too. Need to switch states as a teacher, the one I work in is a hot mess of a disaster.
  12. Think of it this way. Tyler Bass missed 5 FGs all year. It wasn't an issue. Then he missed 3 in two games and everyone is now nervous. Cook caught a ton of passes during the season. He dropped at least two really important ones late in the year. Those are stuck in my head. Blame Ronnie Harmon for this PTSD.
  13. That's fair. He dropped at least two touchdowns at really important times that I can remember off the top of my head. It's probably recent bias, but he's a little bit in the Tyler Bass category in terms of needing to earn back some trust in that way. His God awful pass blocking doesn't help in that regard either. Whatever.
  14. Except when he didn't.
  15. So playing in a preseason game is a punishment for a veteran and a privilege for a non veteran. You're going to punish a starter by taking reps away from the guy you'd use to replace him. Solid plan.
  16. I'm sorry, how does this respond to my response to another person who asserted that Cook could become a 3rd down back if he keeps putting the ball on the ground? I'm suggesting that even in that scenario where they try to get Davis on the field more that it would more likely be on 3rd down than Cook because Davis actually catches the football reliably.
  17. How can you be the 3rd down back of you can't catch and suck at pass blocking? It would more likely be the opposite with Davis coming in on 3rd down.
  18. It's been over for about 2.5 hours so it's a good choice
  19. I wanna know what happened to the sideline reporter the Panthers had a couple years ago. edit - her name is Caroline Cann
  20. He's the Mike Love clone. Gotta let the next one finish ripening.
  21. Played at Texas, transferred to SMU. Was meh. Is still.
