I would take Mowins over Collinsworth or Brady
Nope. I can tune the other two out. Mowins is nails on the blackboard.

Tastes differ. I hear some fans say they can't stand Beth Mowins' voice. For me, Harlan's bellowing is ten times worse.
I don't like Harlan, but I mute Beth Mowins.

Florida is cup champs so they are, you know, good. Did you notice how hard the Sabres played them? Very physical. Gave them a lot of trouble. That's different from the same old Sabres. And they did manage to come back. But you can't make mistakes against a good team. So they lost. They weren't going 82-0. Next game is Friday. Move on.
I feel like you missed a couple of my previous posts, but whatever. I said I'd give them a game of my time if they won 3. I gave them a game and if I'm really honest about I was halfway back out the door after the first period. Maybe I'll flip them on again at some point later in the middle of winter when there's nothing else going on. Probably not. Definitely not appointment viewing though.
And if that makes me a bandwagon fan, that's fine. Their level of ineptitude over that period of time made me not want to watch hockey anymore. It's not that I don't watch the Sabres, I don't watch the sport that much anymore. My son went to their last home playoff game. He was 5. He's now a freshman in college. He was also a hockey player himself. I would have liked to enjoy Sabres hockey with him more as a child but that ship sailed and yes I'm a little bitter about it.

I'm only a little spooked by it and just because of his athleticism.
If Harbaugh and Co. can turn Lamar Jackson into a viable NFL QB can they do something similar with Johnson?
No worries.

Fwiw, his numbers look like this:
3 TDs in 7 games
Averaging about 4 catches for 50 yrds per game
Still only bringing in 50% of his targets
Missed their last game with a "rib" injury
I don't know how much the numbers were affected by QB play and I don't know if he was really hurt or just bubble-wrapped for a trade.
All I know is they traded a player and a pick for him in March and now gave him away for basically nothing halfway through the season. Obviously they weren't impressed. The price tag tells you what the rest of the league thought also.

Man, we got ripped off in the Cooper trade. How is Johnson essentially just a pick swap of nothing?
Because he sucks and is wildly unreliable.

Diontae Johnson is probably the biggest name left but he won’t be cheapI think Gabe Davis' contract might be tradable. They have to have some pretty serious buyers remorse.

He's got enough money to spend the rest of his life traveling and eating surf and turf so I'm not going to feel bad for him.
It's hard to manufacture a lot of empathy for a-hole drama queens.
He drives Lamborghinis in the snow. I'm not sure a lot of wise financial decisions have been made.

My understanding is that it was for one play when he was really gassed after a bunch of running around.
He probably shouldn't have done it, but it's going to get waaaaaayyyyyyy more attention than it deserves.
It didn't help that he was 2 for 15 with a horrible INT in the first half. When you're having that sort of day and then tap out for a play it looks a lot more like quitting than if he'd been balling out.

Dugger and Barmore are 2 dudes that can play. Loved Dugger coming out but unless NE eats a lot of money I don't think we fit him in the cap.

Dugger would be amazing in this defense.

Then don't watch 'em, bro.
Saying "they look the same" tells me how little you know hockey.
1. Ok
2. 2-0 first period deficit, lost 5-2 they looked like naive little boys playing against men last night.

I'm not even trying to sound bad but the Bills tend to be the team to rough up Tua. Hopefully the Bills rock him but he comes out healthy. 2 of his 4 have come against the Bills if you want to include the "Back injury"
and then also the time Epenesa gave him a rib injury.

The pats don’t have to worry about that. Mahomes may not even still be around by the time they return to contention.
What is Pat these days? 28ish? Figure he will live to at least 80 so if the Pats don't contend until roughly 2074 im ok with that. Longer would be fine, but I won't get greedy.
Just now, Ed_Formerly_of_Roch said:Yeah seems to me 3 biggest questionable spots for Bills are safety, LB, and DT
LB I think we are ok. Milano will come back later in the season. Bernard can be given rest based on weekly matchups.
Safety worries me tremendously.

Is this how the Pats felt all those years. These teams have mortgaged their futures for this year and it all fell apart before November. Crazy.
I wouldn't mind having a New Englandesque regular season where they aren't really their best and ppl question if they are done but win the division basically by default then roll through the playoffs like a freaking juggernaut

For a freaking 6th rounder in 2026. NE basically gave him away! WTF NE!!!!
He was inactive and now given away. We've heard rumblings about locker room issues. This confirms that at least some of that is true, and Uche was one of the problems.

Good reminder that coaching is almost as important as talent in the NFL. And the Jets now have the WORST coaching staff in the league. That's why I didn't understand Bills fans that were still worried about them even after Saleh was fired... Saleh was pretty clearly not a great coach, but he brought an energy to the team and his side of the ball was playing at an elite level for most of his tenure. Now they've handed the reins to Jeff Ulbrich, a guy that no one had ever heard of before his sudden ascension. Is anyone surprised they have become a terrible defense? Yes, terrible - you give up 37 to the Steelers and 25 to the Pats, you are a terrible defense. Meanwhile on offense they have Todd Downing and Nate Hackett running the show... Like I said, the WORST coaching staff in the league.
They also recently hired an assistant coach away from one of our local high school programs. Maybe he's a great coach. Up and coming mind sort of thing. But hiring an ASSISTANT high school football coach in October is a weird look for an NFL team.

He was a huge problem. He didn’t build any sort of culture in 3 years and it shows. That team is far too talented to be this bad
I disagree. That team could have fallen apart last year and didn't. This year the major difference is you have Rodgers in the room all the time running the show and you have the owner obviously meddling as well.
They HAD a culture building and they decided to go with Rodgers and wrecked it. Kind of like how the Browns had something going and then flushed it by bringing in Watson.

The guy is friends with Kelly, really likes Allen and respects the Mafia. It sucks to say, but he is a good guy.
He cheated. Repeatedly. Got caught and destroyed evidence. It's also not a coincidence that his personal trainer was banned from the sidelines by the PATRIOTS of all the upstanding organizations and Brady looks about 10 years younger than he actually is and played until he was 45. Totally clean I'm sure. It's all that clean living and alfalfa sprouts.
He's a helluva guy.
edit - Baseball taught me one thing. When someone is doing something other worldly, that nobody else is doing, that seems to defy logic and age, it's probably BS. Whether they catch the person or not is a different question and comes into whether or not they actually WANT to catch the person.
