Who helped and hurt their case tonight?

Marquis Lucas did a nice job at LT late in the game. Certainly better than Martin. -
Biermann Signs a 1 Year Deal; Now Released

His production has been terrible, which is why you can get him for close to nothing. Trying to find a talented player and succeed where others have failed. In the Hughes/Sheppard deal we gave up the more productive player and Indy was happy to be rid of Hughes. I think we did ok. Mingo is very talented if I could get him for nothing he's as worth the gamble as anyone else you could get this time of year. Marcus Smith has been an albatross for the Eagles too but he's a good example of square peg in a round hole. He was projected as a 3-4 rush backer and the Eagles stuck him at OLB in a 4-3 and it's been a mess. Jim Schwartz moved him to DE and I'm betting he'll be used a lot like he used Hughes. -
Will EJ last the season?
That's No Moon replied to truth on hold's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
EJ is absolutely here for the year, you gain no cap space in cutting him and there isn't another more competent veteran available. Depending on how things go in the off-season you could even see him back here next year. I can't imagine there will be a big market for him in the off-season unless he has to play significant time this year and plays well. -
If you can't find a shred a sympathy for a child, or at least the family of a child, who died a horrible death I don't know what to say to you.

Still have Lattimore coming back from his broken schnozz. -
Salas has had trouble with his hamstrings multiple times in the past. This is definitely something to keep an eye on. Certainly opens the door for all the other fringe WRs. Powell and Boykin took advantage to a degree. Boykin's stats were limited but both of his catches were difficult, sideline toe drag with no bobble and the 1 handed catch in traffic to score the last TD. Powell looked decent but honestly I was a little disappointed he didn't score on the crossing route from Jones. Little didn't really do much, Hankerson was a mess and frankly Colter was interfered with twice with no flags but had a chance to make at least one of the plays and didn't.

Mingo is a little intriguing but I wouldn't give up much. It's a concern that Pettine couldn't get anything out of him in a similar scheme. -

Hankerson? On the plus I thought Walker looked good late and Valles wasn't a complete mess. -

I was disappointed in Bryson Albright. He needs to add a lot of strength and pass rush moves. Didn't seem sudden or able to bend to get around the corner. -

Biggest issues for me were that he looked plodding, he runs very upright for a large man, and he took bad penalties. -

Groy and Richardson stunk. O'Leary had a nice game Kouandijo had a solid game Striker was invisible Seymour was good Wilder could be gone by morning, especially if they need to add edge players -
Look I'm not saying it's an angelic thing and you're right he should know better. Yeah it's going to suck for those people who have to go on unemployment for six months and it will be hard for the business owner and it will cost him money but it's just that, money. The kid lost his life and his family has to deal with that. I wouldn't want to be the kid's mother. They are having to go to dental records to even identify the kid, that's a horrible thing.

Tolzien couldn't move the ball on our 1s or 2s or frankly a bunch of the 3s. Indy started moving the ball when Sterling Moore and his ilk took the field and we stopped moving the ball when EJ was in with the 3rd line. -
Your uncle is insured and will get his business back, the kid isn't getting his life back.

That was a big boy throw kids. 3rd stringers or not -
I hesitate to call a 14 y/o kid who died in a fire an ahole. It's been so dry up there this summer he and his buddies might have started it by accident. A careless cigarette tossed into a pile of shredded rubber on a hot dry day. As you see those kinds of fires are easy to start, hard to put out, and they spread really fast.

Good to know who does the Bills laundry. You'd think we could get an upgrade from the wire hangers though. -
How long does it have to sit forgotten in my pantry to have the same impact? Every time I see this word I think of this (1:31)

If he hadn't been caught cheating on multiple occasions this would be a slam dunk answer, great coach. However, since that has happened multiple times in multiple areas of the game across spans of many years it requires that the rest of his record be called into question. There are plenty of other, well discussed, situation where New England chicanery has been suspected yet unproven. If the coach had maintained a sterling record it would sound like sour grapes to mention them. I liken this to our older fans griping about Don Shula's participation on the competition committee and his influence on officials. Don Shula has an impeccable record with multiple teams over decades. He was great. You can dislike him but he was great. Belichick on the other hand, has been caught actually doing the things people have suspected him of. There is no accomplishment on his record which you can't call into question as a result. He's not the only person in sports this has happened to and he won't be the last. We said goodbye to one of them today in Alex Rodriguez. The man hit almost 700 home runs and will go into retirement with barely a ripple of attention because he got caught cheating multiple times. I personally believe the Cal Ripken was dirty as hell during his games played streak but he was never caught and nothing will be proven so I will accede to his greatness. Shula may have been a slimeball but Belichick is proven to be one.

This. Though it also likely means that Crapenberg isn't tearing up camp and threatening to start which is not shocking. Dude's feet in the pocket remind me of Lurch.
