The Bills trading for Amari Cooper is the equivalent of buying roller skates for a quadriplegic. There isn't a qb on the roster. Not one.

If you can acquire Carr for a 2nd or a 3rd you do it, Josh Allen be damned. It's not even a question.

There is also a reason. Josh Allen had no offers out of high school and only 1 out of JUCO. Every d1 school had 2 shots at him and all but 1 passed twice. We took him 8th overall. I'm sure we are smarter than all 100+ d1 programs.

And they know they can't so they largely stopped trying to. We've all seen competent passers on bad teams with poor weapons. Drew Bledsoe played on a terrible team as a rookie and had no weapons to speak of. You could watch him for a quarter and see he was going to turn into something decent. Peyton Manning was on a god awful team as a rookie and threw a ton of INTs but it was clear that he was going to be excellent. It's very rare to have a QB that looks as much like a hot mess that Josh Allen looks like, turn it around and become even competent let alone excellent. 1. He shouldn't be playing because he's not ready. If you EVER have to make your offense avoid your own QB that person shouldn't be the QB. Those are the kind of game plans you see when someone like Jeff Tuel is forced into the lineup. 2. I have serious concerns if he ever will be ready. 300 yards is the new 200 in the NFL. It's the mark of average performance. 400+ happens multiple times a week. I have 0 faith that Allen will ever throw for 300 yards even once, regardless of who he is throwing to.

Yesterday was a one-off at best. You cannot win playing football that way consistently. I think you know that and you are turning a blind eye to it. Allen looks worse as a passer now than EJ Manuel did at any point as a starter.

No, you're right. Let's anoint him as the savior now. We haven't had a QB recently who ever had a 4th Q comeback. EJ Manuel never did that, Tyrod Taylor never did that. Those 2 swing passes and handoffs are the foundations of a dynasty I tells ya. We got it right this time for sure.
