  1. It comes down to versatility. Bates, Long, Boettger, and Feliciano have it. Teller is G only.
  2. I think Zay is gone and has been told that he is either going to be traded or, if they can't find a partner, released.
  3. You are aware they held the Rams, who averaged, 32.4 points per game over 18 games including the playoffs to a whopping 3 in the Super Bowl right?
  4. It's curious to add a DE at this point.
  5. Hmmm, spending your contract year on a pretty good D line where you'd get minimal double teams and pad your numbers or spend it on a team where you will be the focus of every blocking scheme every week.
  6. And if I'm Buffalo I say have a nice day because I'm not giving you that for a rental and neither is anyone else. Which is why the trade hasn't happened yet. if anyone offered Houston anywhere NEAR that package they'd have leapt on it like a hungry mountain lion.
  7. If the Dolphins trade Tunsil to Houston knowing that they can't re-sign Clowney until the off-season they are morons. IMO that's the biggest hold-up in this situation, the difference in Clowney's actual value as a football player, and what is he worth to another team to acquire when you factor in the massive risk involved in that he can walk and you end up with nothing. If he could be re-signed to a multi-year extension immediately, ergo, teams would be given permission to talk to his agent and work everything out in advance, you'd be correct, but this isn't that situation. Zay Jones isn't ample compensation, not even close. But to Houston, if Clowney is really going to sit he adds no value to your football team and they have immediate needs at multiple positions. The longer he sits out the fewer games his acquiring team will be guaranteed to have him on the field which depresses his value even more. After the trade deadline he has no value at all to Houston apart from the 3rd round comp pick they MIGHT get (again, assuming he truly is going to pull a Leveon Bell maneuver).
  8. So does never stopping anyone in the red zone. 30th in the league in red zone scoring against in both points per red zone trip and touchdowns allowed per red zone trip. https://www.footballoutsiders.com/stats/drivestatsdef/2018
  9. OK. They were #2 in yards allowed. They were #18 in points allowed. Let's talk about that. They played the #3, #4 (x2), #5, #8, #9, #11, #13, and #15 offenses last year. They were 0-9 in those games and they allowed 247 points in those games. 27.4 points per game. They also managed to lose to the #23 and #26 offenses while surrendering 24 points per game in those games (27 and 21 respectively. The offenses they beat were ranked 19, 23, 24, 26, 27, and 31. What this means, in short, is they lost to every single average or above offense they played last season and also lost to 2 poor offenses. But you're right. I'm revising history to make them sound bad. In reality they were tearing it up.
  10. I firmly believe it will or it won't happen.
  11. The teams who don't have to play anyone but cannon fodder in ps game 4
  12. Talking about these leaks and such. The local Indianapolis people weren't the one to break Andrew Luck's retirement. That was Adam Schefter who certainly didn't get it from the team directly either because the team was setting up a PC for 3pm today to tell everyone. They didn't want it broken during the middle of a home preseason game with fans finding out on their phones. Point being, there are lots of places to get information and lots of reasons to want to put stuff out at different times. Agents put stuff out, players put stuff out, people attached to the people put stuff out. That Wawrow doesn't have it doesn't mean it's not happening. It doesn't mean it is either. It just means that nobody that he has access to or a relationship with has said anything to him.
  13. WR from Miami will almost certainly be Stills. Ours would almost have to be Zay
  14. Sounds like a Mark Barron type player. Box safety who is vulnerable in coverage, hence the Packers wanted to move him to LB. Doesn''t mean he can't be useful in a big nickel set
  15. What if I take it to a check cashing place rather than deposit it in my account....
  16. Trade him to Cleveland or Cincinnati, he deserves to wear orange.
  17. So, we're on national TV tonight. Guess it time to take out the fancy pasties....
  18. The line moved from Buffalo +2.5 to Buffalo -3.5 That a HUGE swing. and FWIW, our running game has been garbage all preseason. I think tonight is the night they decide to concentrate on that and hand the ball off a LOT. Not to mention they have a RB battle to figure out.
  19. You need one LB who almost exclusively can play teams. That has been Lacey's role. You don't need both of them. Stanford is the MLB backup, Thompson has been OLB Salary info per Over the Cap FWIW - Maurice Alexander: 850k base, 1M cap number: If released 150k dead cap, 850k cap savings Julian Stanford: 1.25M base, 1.525M cap number: If released 175k dead cap, 1.35M cap savings Vosean Joseph: 495k base, 576k cap number: If released 81k dead cap, 495k cap savings Deon Lacey: 645k base, 645k cap number: If released 0k dead cap, 645k cap savings The true crime in all of this is that Julian Stanford will make twice as much as Matt Milano this year. Matt Milano: 645k base, 710k cap Mo Alexander will be a Jet week 1.
  20. Lorax, Edmunds, Milano, Thompson, Stanford, with Joseph over Lacey as the 6th. Dodson to PS, Lacey on speed dial in case of injury.
  21. and yet, interesting. Did you ask him for Super Bowl tickets? It makes sense because they will spend a lot of time in big nickel.
  22. What about air to air missiles? Or ground to ground missiles e.g. Javelin. Asking for a friend.
