  1. Taiwan Jones ran a 4.3 and change. he must be good.
  2. someday they will change the combine so that it makes sense. Have them do those drills in pads and helmets because it absolutely does make a difference.
  3. Looking at his twitter feed he likes wings so he will have a least a short time in nirvana.
  4. I was going to go with my cousin LeighAnn but this response works.
  5. There has been a lot of that yeah, but there hasn't been a lot of going after players with character issues or teams for doing dumb stuff. The hardest I think they went after anyone was Jacob Eason and even that was pretty mild.
  6. Yeah, I meant about the players and the teams. They seem to be going out of their way to emphasize the potential positives of each player to each team. In past years the Eagles would get hammered for taking Hurts in the 2nd for example.
  7. Anybody else feel like the broadcast is more positive this year? Way fewer strong negative takes even when teams do things that are really out of left field
  8. Plus Beane has come out and talked about how jacked up the UDFA process is going to be this year so I suspect they didn't want to play games and just use the pick to take the player
  9. My Dad has directv since 1996, customer service has gone to hell since AT&T bought them.
  10. I told my son last night as we were watching the draft. "It doesn't matter if you're the commissioner of the league, your wife is still going to tell you to put your football ***** in the basement."
  11. by the league. They hand in the card, they tip the pick to the NFLN broadcast, they talk into Mayock's ear. It's not that hard. How many times do they obviously wait to announce the pick until the broadcast is done talking and ready for them to? Answer, all the time. The other thing is they obviously pick out teams they are going to hammer every year no matter what they do. They can talk both ways about any player depending on who takes them. It's not a factual broadcast. It's a made for TV event and they interject intrigue and drama to increase viewer interest.
  12. Utah State does a pretty good version of it. I have to say, if you could get 70k people to do it, it would be pretty hype.
  13. So people are totally going to put lawn chairs on Beane's lawn Thursday, right?
  14. Ask Devils fans if they want to give that Cup back.
  15. They told him he needed to update his Windows to 10. Hence, busting out walls.
  16. and they could do all of those things already. If anything all of the internal IT departments and League Security have been running around like madmen to make sure all the mouthbreathers in the front office don't have "football" as their password.
  17. Howard is an excellent athlete who didn't produce in college and hasn't produced in the NFL. No thank you.
  18. Fine, you're right. It's much too difficult and the risk of compromise is much too great. The draft is postponed until everyone can drive to a common, secret, underground location where they can be sure nobody will see their proprietary information. The broadcast is going to be on a delay like it always is. If somebody jacks the teleconference they will just shut it down. That's all. No big deal. Nobody will get the opportunity to do anything outlandish. You stop the process and continue it later or whenever you feel like. Nobody will die if a CB from Texas A&I doesn't get drafted until next Tuesday. Will it be annoying? Yes. Will it be disruptive? Yes. Is any of that reason to not do it? No.
  19. I'm not arguing that it's not more streamlined but let's not act like this is impossible or even difficult.
  20. The NFLs over-inflated sense of self-importance.
  21. That way he can push off against smaller guys. He's old, he needs a break fer Chrissakes.
