  1. NFL *****...You... You decide after the fact who you screwed and used it as an instructional video. Kiss the wide parts of my ass. The lesson to be learned here is you want to be is marketable. If you are marketable you get the calls. If not, you aren't. In 2019 Watson was more marketable than Allen. Now? Not so much. The NFL just told you you, if this happened today this is how it would be called.
  2. I was going to pull your chain, but this flat-Earth nonsense aggravates me so much I decided not to put any more of that energy into the world. I'm going to sleep on my not quite flat mattress on the definitely not flat Earth. If any of this annoys any other readers, find the edge of the world and I will gladly jump off for you.
  3. I broke a piece of furniture that day. Not proud of it, but it happened.
  4. It's my understanding that the upper decks need to be replaced. That makes sense in a 50 year old concrete and steel structure that lives in a nasty winter environment in a place where they use rock salt. If it were a bridge nobody would argue why it needs to be replaced at this point. The supporting columns have already had work done to them at least once. That kind of work can't be done in one off-season. Even if you start immediately in January or February you can't have everything torn down and reconstructed by August. There would likely be a season with no upper decks at all if they were able to even play in the stadium during the construction. The Bears played at U of Illinois for a year while Soldier Field had an upper deck added, etc. UBs facility isn't up to snuff, even on a temporary basis, and frankly I doubt that the 40 year old Carrier Dome is either. What does that leave? Hamilton? Toronto? Think of it this way, the current stadium is already older than the Rockpile when it was replaced. That opened in 1937 and was vacated in 1972. 45 years. The current stadium has been in use from 1973 to 2021. 48 years.
  5. Yeah it only took the Bills a quarter of a century to get someone we think might be the guy. Totally simple.
  6. All of this is only smart if Tua ends up better than the QB they could have taken at 3.
  7. Inside Out when Bing Bong sacrifices himself for the life of the little girl who will forget he exists as a result of his sacrifice. Kids movies are cold blooded.
  8. Only missing three games would represent massive improvement for him. He should talk to Baltimore people about working their little jobs. I'm sure that will work out well.
  9. Is he on short term IR with a sprained pinky after inking that deal?
  10. The Natural, when the kid brings Hobbs the bat they made together. Every. Freaking. Time.
  11. Yeah but that's when the teams are already taking the money off the table because they want to wait until after the draft also. I don't think you see another big slug of FAs signed until post draft.
  12. I hear all of who are saying we dont need a third LB. IMO our defense is still light in the ass and neither Edmunds nor Milano are sturdy enough against the run. New England didn't just sign two tight ends to not put them on the field. Tampa's running game in the Super Bowl was hugely impactful, KC whipped us twice because we can't stop the run or defend a tight end. If the question is do we need another LB or a big nickel the answer is yes. We need both.
  13. Well if nobody else in a Penn State locker room saw anything or was willing to corroborate that story everything must've been Jim Dandy, right? No offense, my sister went to Penn State. I follow Penn State Hockey and I'd like my kids to go to school there but they've lost their credibility in the "our football locker room is a nice place to be" department for a while longer. As much as we all tell each other that people just make this stuff up, they more often than not don't. Even if you were going to make up a story about for example your employer as a disgruntled former employee with an axe to grind, you probably aren't naming Phyllis who always saved you a jelly donut or Bob and Mike that you went to Happy hour with. You're naming the people who treated you like crap. Parsons is a heckuva player and someone will draft him. If you think your locker room is strong enough that the veterans can get him in line and keep him there it's not a problem drafting him. If not, you avoid him. In short, he's not a player for a young defense with weak leadership. I'd like to think that Mcdermott and Frazier and the guys in the room could deal with that stuff and that a locker room bully wouldn't be tolerated by anyone.
  14. I dunno. I don't like spending roster spots on special teams players that can only do one thing. IMO there should only be four players on the team that only have one job. Kicker, punter, long snapper and starting QB. Taiwan Jones is a special teams gunner and that's all. There's NOBODY else out there that can do that and also competently play a position? It's not like Jones is knocking it out of the box in a Steve Taskeresque way as a gunner either.
  15. because nobody is offering him the huge multi-year deal with massive up front money he's looking for. How much of Sanders do we eat if he doesn't make it out of camp?
  16. Having a job and no visible scars puts her out of reach for some of this board.
  17. Last year before he went on IR in October: 1. 3 catches 18 yards 2. 5 catches 42 yards 3. 7 catches 70 yards in a game that played a full OT and the game that Dallas Goedert also got hurt. 4. 4 catches 9 yards 5. 1 catch 6 yards 6. 4 catches 33 yards He also wasn't the #1 TE to start the season. Dallas Goedert was. Yeah but the offense stunk, and Wentz is terrible and Pederson is an idiot, and they had nobody else to throw the ball to. Here's what journeyman TE Richard Rodgers did in the same putrid offense with Ertz out. 7. 6 for 85 8. 0 for 0 9. 4 for 60 10. 2 for 48 11. 3 for 53 Zach Ertz was an elite tight end. He is not an elite TE anymore. He's better than what we currently have on the team but if you expect to see the Ertz that gained 900 yards on 135 targets in 2019 or the Ertz that gained 1,100 yards on 156 targets in 2018 you're going to be disappointed. First off, he's not going to see anywhere near that number of targets. Diggs had 166 last year, Beasley had 109, Davis was 3rd most with 62. Lets assume that Davis got some targets that would have been Brown's as the 3rd WR and let's make Ertz the 3rd most targeted player on the team with something like 80 targets. His career catch percentage is 67%. His last 3 years have been 74.4%, 65.3% and 50%, respectively, which makes his 3 year average 63.2% That gives him 51 catches. Ertz' career average is 10.8 yards per catch. He has been under that average each of the last three years (10.0, 10.4, 9.3). His most recent 3 year average is 9.9 yards a catch. 51 catches at his career average of 10.8 ypc is 551 yards. 51 catches at his most recent 3 year average of 9.9 ypc is 505 yards. So barring a massive share of Diggs or Beasley's targets going to Ertz you are looking at somewhere between 500 and 550 yards receiving. Yeah but Wentz stunk and Hurts doesn't throw well so he must've gotten a lot of bad balls to see his catch percentage drop so much. Goedert was 70.8% last year. Rodgers was 77.4% Ertz is and always has been a compiler. He's not a game breaking player like Kelce or Kittle or Waller. He just isn't. Now you are going to have the compiler at age 30+. How much is that worth in terms of compensation for the Eagles and money for Ertz? Ertz isn't a top 5 TE in the league anymore. He's not even the best TE on the Eagles.
  18. forgot there was a punt returner
  19. 2019 he had cracked ribs, injured rib cartilage and a lacerated kidney at the end of the season. Missed some games, played in the playoff game but was not effective in that game. Had a hamstring issue before that in 2019. Concussion and hamstring in 2017, rib injury 2016, concussion 2015, groin tear 2015. He didn't miss a lot of time for most of that until this past year, but having watched the majority of his games he has taken a ton of abuse, isn't the biggest TE ever made and is now 30. He was off last year before the ankle injury. He's not a guy I want on a deal of any length.
  20. A word of caution to those super hyped up. Ertz has been very banged up the last couple years.
  21. And they are super pissed with their defense and changing coordinators, no?
