Roman out as OC in Baltimore per Ian Rapoport

This waste of space is the exact reason why the Rooney Rule and other measures the league has put into place need to exist. He has done absolutely nothing to warrant this interview. Nothing. He was terrible in Buffalo, Jacksonville AND Denver. The only time his offense was decent is when he had Aaron Rodgers telling him what to do. BUT he's somebody who grew up related to somebody who knew a lot of somebodies and now he's a guy who has worked a lot of places himself so he knows a lot of people so these opportunities will keep following him around.

How confident are you the Bills beat the Bengals?

40 points is the target every week from here on out. Even that might not be enough. -

Listen, they botched the most important call in the correct direction last week. That's a job well done. -

It matters for who calls the coin toss(es). -
Shanahan is on his 3rd QB and the team is better now than they were in September.

It incentivizes building your pipeline with young people, investing in them, and then seeing that investment returned to you in the future when they move to a higher position somewhere else. In the meantime you are benefitting from their talent. It's cynical to think about it, but if you made it the other way around you give a team a direct incentive to fire someone. This way you're incentivized to keep and develop people for when other people hire them away. If you're trying to increase the size of the pool this is a good way to do it IMO.

50/50. When the Bills are focused they are better. Maintaining that focus seems to be a problem. -
Can we activate Kingsley Johnathan? Even it's it's only obvious passing situations. The dude has juice off the edge that Lawson and Epenesa don't.

Ya know, apart from these guys being really qualified. It's disgusting that a sweetener has to exist.

Mike Pettine will always be my favorite from that era.

Will your respect for Tom Brady change when he retires?

Did he go back in time and decide to not cheat? Then no. -

Rules question: Illegal block to the back
That's No Moon replied to simpleman's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yes, it largely has. The ones that happen now are largely accidental and not high speed. You don't see people getting crushed from behind because people know not to do it. Imagine a punt return where blocking from behind is legal. The tackler has to break down to try to make the tackle and you have a guy who has a 50 yard head start able to unload into the middle of his back who is stopping or who has essentially stopped. The whiplash injuries would be immediate and severe. -
I will defer to you.

I thought they got moved to the corner several years ago.

NFL greed and when will you turn it off?

Well, when you're 86 an extra long TV timeout can be the difference between seeing the end of the game or not so I get it. -

Yeah but if they eliminate the penalty you can start blowing up people from behind which will cause an actual safety hazard. -
Murphy's squeaking has always been a negative for me. To each their own I guess.

Yesterdays game was out of hand in terms of pace but with all of the long reviews added to the extra 30 seconds on all the TV breaks and the extra long halftime it was going to happen. It all added up to a loooong day. -
Well according to McDaniel he didn't know it was 4th and 1 either.

Just listening to the radio highlights I agree with you. IMO play by play was never Murphy's forte, he was excellent at color commentary.
