QB is a priority but there aren't any "Andrew Lucks" in this draft. The team, from the owners on down, are not going to go for a "tank" to get in position to get a top QB next year. The team has been built to compete, except for idiot coaches, the last few years and is in desperate need of a franchise QB.
So what do they do??
They can keep drafting pieces to fit around the current QB, which is likely, or they can go for it with one of the QB's available this year. Watson and Trubisky are probably in the Dalton/Tannehill mold, Kizer is the project and Mahomes is the wildcard. 2 will most likely be gone before 10 (Jets/Browns) but if any of Mahomes/Trubisky/Watson are there, you grab them at 10, or trade down a few spots, and start your future right there. Whaley will probably catch hell but he desperately needs a franchise QB, and he can get one to Learn for a year, or more, behind Taylor. The rest of the draft he can piece the rest of the team together but, it's possible, the future of the organization starts around the 10th pick in this years draft.
I'm going to catch hell but this needs to happen at some point.

Had my younger brother go out about 25 yards and try to catch golf pitches off my wedge. Skulled one(so to speak) and drilled it into his forehead. Blood everywear. 9 stitches and 30+ years later and the scar is still there.
I still can't hit a wedge to save my life.

Its funny, I see many post like this and many people piggy backing on the bad posts but no one says anything about the valid and articulate posts.
It's more important to go the whole us vs. them route going on here.
It's very obvious and quite frankly annoying. We're all Bills fans, I bet all of us could enjoy a brew or two together at a game but because we happened to post on a different message board, oh my goodness!!!

If you must know, I work for an agency that places different populations in positions across a variety of career paths. Some of these individuals have varying levels of intelligence. I can assure you that the word in question is just as offensive as hate speech based on skin color or sexual orientation.
Is it asking too much to get through a thread where overly entitled OG board members don't toss out the same bait over and over looking for a laugh or complain once again that a public forum just had an influx of new members?
I guess I expect a lil more from fans who've passionately followed a losing football team. Yet it always comes down to this. Cowards trying to push their weight around.

I don't have the time to read your whole post but I was referring to the other idiot using the "r" word.
One word I personally hate hearing is"retard". I have close personal friends that have or work with children with mental/physical disabilities. I'm not a liberal by any means but the word "retard" hits on multiple levels. Idiot works well, ask Tom, but "retard" should be banned.

I'm guessing he has compromising pictures of either Whaley or one of the Pegulas. I don't think he did anything to warrant his contract except being better than the rest of the dumpster full of available quarterbacks this offseason.
The Bills/Whaley did the smart move by signing him to a restructured deal just to make sure they weren't stuck with only Cardale, draft pick and a dumpster pick up.
Tyrod won't be the starting QB in 2018 and possibly as early December or earlier of 2017. The Bills will draft a QB of the future in the first couple rounds this year.

It is far more complicated than you make it sound.
A GM has a certain budget allotted for every position or position group. If you tender Groy at that higher level, you have to pay him that extra amount of money. YOU may look at it and say "What's 800k?"...but again, when you have to manage the cap for an entire football team and sign as many guys as the Bills still need to sign....you can't just look at $800k as peanuts and act like it's no big deal to offer a player the extra cash.
If GMing were as easy as you make it sound, there'd be a lot more quality GMs in the NFL than there are.
You know what happens if you give a bunch of backups high tenders? You wind up overpaying for a bunch of backups.

I know there are a few Central Florida residents here. A "newer" brewery that has started to get their product distributed across Florida is Central 28 Brewing.
They have a healthy stable of beers that are continuously produced and have a few that they bring out as "seasonal or special occasion"
I am currently drinking "Trekker" which is a Farmhouse Ale(delicious) and the wife loves their "Under Duck"' a lager.
I highly recommend trying any of their beers if you can find them. Winn Dixie carries a bunch and they are popping up throughout most establishments that carry something other than Bud and Coors Lite as their go to drafts.

No kidding!! The way some of these clowns are reacting, they're pissed that Whaley didn't get Julio Jones for 10 years at $2 mil/year. This is a decent pickup for the price plus he can/will play special teams.

It is stupid to think we could or should wait to fill out our roster players post FA, sifting through post June 1 cuts, other teams' released players, other teams' non-tendered RFA's, or UDFA's. You want to talk about a sh*t roster? Uhhhh, yeah, that would be us. 20+ FA's. Again, 20+ FA's. Only 6 draft picks. We have to sign players. This year is not a feasible one to try to make this argument, but you top notch message board GM's think you have this sh*t COMPLETELY figured out. You guys are clueless. Completely f***ing clueless. Someone mentioned Brandon Marshall. Whotf says Marshall would even want to come to Buffalo? Who says Whaley didn't make a call at least? None of you know. Another person mentioned re-signing some of our own. We did a couple, but do you honestly expect us to "get the band back together" when they made sh*tty music? We are the Bills, a team who hasn't been in the playoffs in 17 years. And no it's not because of f***ing comp picks.

Sorry KD, the opportunity was there. Thought it was funny.
No rules/restrictions here. Usually beer and/or bourbon or scotch on weekends. Wife likes wine so usually a bottle or two between us a couple nights a week with dinner. We just generally have fun no matter what, alcohol or water, we have a good time.

Removing a lot of that leftover stench from the Rex D.
Graham, a nice guy and local kid but looked awful last year and not much better the year before. Surprised they waited as long as they did but couldn't go into FA without a Safety on the roster, you lose any bargaining power.

If I were to guess, the ex coach probably had more to do with the kicker not kicking well, than the GM. We don't know the timeline of when Christie offered advice but DC's issues started when Rex got here and DC was baggered the whole time by him.
Cutting him now is probably as much of a salary move as it is lack of production.
