  1. Well, just to piss in everyone's Cheerios, it was Sunny and about 77 yesterday and supposed to be partly sunny and about 70-75 today. It's looking a bit bleak for the weekend, some rain tomorrow maybe and 60 and then sunny and in the mid to high 50's for the rest of the weekend.
  2. Just for ***** and giggles, wouldn't we want the Bills to beat the Steelers at full strength? Honestly, we know that the Bills need the win to have a shot at the playoffs, but in reality, wouldn't we be fooling ourselves by beating them at half strength and then possibly going into the playoffs not knowing if the Bills can realistically compete with the other playoff bound teams? I would rather beat the Steelers with all their starters playing, knowing that "if" they do make the playoffs, they then have a chance at beating anyone they face. Playoffs in the NFL aren't set up for teams backing in. What's the point of backing in just to get your head handed to you the next week. I personally would rather see them get in on a roll by beating the "best" team in the league knowing that they have a realistic shot at going deep into the playoffs.
  3. I'll be there. I'm flying in from Orlando on Friday just in time to ring in the New Year and to freeze my boys off on Sunday. I'm actually hoping for some snow and hoping that the temp stays above 25, lol. My wife, myself and two friends of our's will be there.
  4. I can get you (2) uppers, Bills side at face value if you're interested. I have someone else that has asked for them and they were supposed to let me know by yesterday and didn't so they are up for grabs right now.
  5. The only thing I don't agree that EFF did was stop the CAPPS II passenger profiling. I am a firm believer in public safety and if that system was in place September 10th, 2001, nothing would have happened the following day. Just my opinion.
  6. Travis will make it back and start the against the Steelers at home. He will have the best game of his career, rushing for 3 touchdowns and 207 yards on the ground. He will also catch 4 balls for 82 yards. Ralph will tell TD and MM to start Travis the following week against San Diego where he will play one heck of a game only to have the Chargers complete a forward lateral (ruled on the field as legal) on a kickoff on the final play of the game to beat the Bills.
  7. I was there to and at first was frustrated but actually ended up applauding the play by Cunningham. It was one of the best plays I have ever seen by an individual. Good for him finally getting his degree.
  8. I think the words "West Virginia" explain a lot of it!!
  9. Great pictures. Thank you. Those pictures of the Bills fans behind the bench were awesome. I'm wondering if any of the players went over and talked to those fans after the game.
  10. Honestly, I think that JG would have done more of this the past few years but it was basically GW's defense and JG was probably looking over his shoulder. Especially last year when the Bills brought in DL to help out with the D, which meant that JG wasn't the sole designer of the D. It's his D now and we are seeing the rewards from that. It also helps to have playmakers on both corners and safeties now instead of just one at corner and one at safety. I love seeing the stunts upfront which obviously creates confusion. This D is loaded and I wouldn't be surprised to see them really peek against the Steelers in two weeks.
  11. AMEN!! Honestly, my wife, daughter and I open presents and celebrate Christmas Eve so my excitement is definitely for the game on the 26th. Plus, it's been a long time coming that this Bills team is playing to the form that they're expected to. I can't wait until next week, getting pumped to fly back to Buffalo and go to that game on the 2nd. Actually, I'm probably more excited about going to that game than any game that I've gone to in the past 10 years with the exception of the SB XVIII that I went to in Atlanta.
  12. I was going to start a thread noting that the Bills are guaranteed at least a .500 record, which is pretty amazing considering the horrendous 1-5 start. To possibly finish the season at 10-6 is quite an accomplishment considering the bad luck/Murphy's Law type games they started with. MM should be considered for Coach of the Year just for the turnaround this team made. He won't because of Marty or Mora in Atlanta who is by far the luckiest coach of the year. Great job by the coaching staff to keep this team on an even keel when things looked bleak!!
  13. Aren't you that same son-of-a-B word that ruled that guy from Jacksonville inbounds? I'm gonna get you sucka!!!
  14. I kind of thought that Solomon Wilcox sounded like a homer for a while with Cincinnati yesterday. In regards to that phantom push in the back that nearly got "Fasst Freddie" decapitated, he kept saying it was clearly a block in the back when all Baker did was wave at the guy. He also made a few other comments that showed his homerism during the game since he is a former Bengal. Honestly, he sounded no different than Tasker though. He was trying to be as objective as he could be. Honestly, that team doing the game yesterday was awful but IMO, CBS's coverage of football is a complete joke. The announcers suck, every one of them. Their pregame, halftime and postgame coverage is terrible. I wish NBC would have sacked up and made a decent offer to get football back where it belongs and away from the official Tennis station CBS.
  15. As much as I like hockey, I honestly don't think I would mind if they just closed up shop and started over from scratch. The players aren't necessarily making all the much money in comparison to other sports that have a prolonged season like basketball and baseball. The one difference is that the NHL isn't marketed correctly, it doesn't put a product on the ice that the masses want to pay to see and the management and owners are the ones to blame for this. This lockout should be a strike by the players for not getting proper representation by the league and the owners. I understand that there should be a salary cap in place but without the revenue, who the hell cares if there is one. Someone is going to get screwed in the deal and it will end up being the players when all is said and done. The NHL seriously needs to look at itself and the game before they point the fingers at the players for wanting to make money. The game needs to be changed and now is the time to do it.
  16. I can''t stand rap or rapping. Especially at this time of year, rapping is really difficult. Sometimes around Birthdays, I find rapping to be difficult but tolerable. For some reason, I just can't get my corners to work and my rapping sucks. I usually go somewhere that will rap for you instead of struggling with rapping by myself. I just noticed the my "W" isn't working!!
  17. I don't think I could have said it any better myself!!!
  18. Personally, I thought, form the looks of it, that Willis wasn't even expecting a handoff. He didn't seem to have his arms in the basket position to accept it and maybe he thought that the play was designed elsewhere. Just my opinion on it. Regardless of whose fault it was, the was miscommunication there, which does happen from time to time. It happened, it's in the past, lets let it go. If not, cut everyone then!!
  19. Hey Doug, you probably know my answer already but here goes. I would reccommend going down to one of the local softball complexes in your area, go the main office and tell them you're interested in getting on a softball team. They probably have a list for you to sign that would include your phone number. Believe me, someone will call you and ask you to play. There are always teams looking for someone that is willing to commit to showing up every week. When I first moved to Florida, I didn't know very many people and no one played softball that I knew. I went to a complex, signed up and had a call within a week. I've been playing all 4-10 weeks seasons for the last 8 years several nights a week. It costs very little to play, except for the extracurricular activities, ie beer/bar. Golf is just too expensive sometimes and if you suck, like I do, well, it's just not worth the aggrevation. You're good at softball, from what I remember playing with you in a few leagues, and it's somthing fun to do. Get into that, you will be amazed how many guys will end up asking you to play other nights if you show that you're committed. Hope that helps. Talk to you soon. Good Luck
  20. Don't forget about Baltimore. They're one of the other teams that the Bills need to lose.
  21. The Bills are in a good situation with TH. They have him on the roster for a fairly low salary for the next year and he would be a decent back up. If they do try to move him, getting a 2nd should be what their looking for, though possibly a combination of this years 3rd from someone and maybe a 5th the following year would be acceptable. I wonder if it's possible that a team might be willing to swap a player for TH. I'm sure there are a few players out there that would like out of their current situations, maybe someone that doesn't like the way their current deal is structured, and could be shipped to the Bills with knowing that they would rework their deal.
  22. I have to agreee with you Gant, why ruin such a productive game by pointing out the bad points. A win is a win, no matter how we got it!! THis team is completely different from the team that started the year confidence wise. They appear that they feel that there isn't anyone that can beat them right now. The pinned their ears back yesterday and manhandled the Browns. Now, the Browns aren't the best team in the league by any means but they aren't as awful as Buffalo made them look. I think, the point that is being missed, that the Bills are actually that good and could overcome just about anything right now. A good example was the Miami game. They fell behind early but never panicked and came back and dominated the second half of that game. Confidence is back at One Bills Drive!!
