This is very true. I read the board for a while before joining and still come here most of the time just to read. Just because my post level is low doesn't mean I'm not following TBD, I just don't bother dealing with the BS on here most of the time.

Expanding to an 18 game season
flomoe replied to Glass To The Arson's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm for it if it means bringing back games being played over Labor Day weekend. This BS with the networks determining when the season starts and ends is a load of crap. Also, the increase in active players on gameday would be a bonus and if Jauron is still around when/if this is implemented, he might actually somehow benefit because of the ease of his training camps. -
Can we win with our number two QB?
flomoe replied to offde-fence's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Amen. Until Edwards proves that he is a capable #1, there really isn't a need to worry about #2 because we won't be winning anyway. -

This is why I argue with the throngs of Miami fans down here in Orlando, that Marino, as great of a passer that he was, was not a great quarterback! -
WOW!! That brings back some great memories. I think I was there for nearly all of the home TD's and a bunch of the road ones too. (left Buffalo in '96) Great times. Amazing arm on that #12 guy. I think we tend to forget just how amazing they were after watching the crap we've been burdened with for the last decade and especially the last few years. I wonder if the current coaching staff even has a play in the playbook that calls for a WR to run a slant or post into the middle like Reed and Kelly made a living doing? I guess you need a QB with an arm to make the throw but even the short dumps into the middle can be made with even Edward's arm.

Oct 2002 - The story of Dick Jauron "Coward"-gate
flomoe replied to 1billsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Sounds pretty right on to me. This year is going to be a put up or shut up year for both the Coach and QB, IMO. -
He only made it because he is black. That is obvious and not racial unless you are black. Enough said.

Thanks for the bad news Lori. I was hoping there was an outside chance that an "Empire Sports Network" type of channel was a possibility in the future but that looks very unlikely.

Could all eight Jaguars home games be blacked out?
flomoe replied to Lori's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm with you on this cursed. I'm here in Orlando and apples to apples, I would take this over Buffalo anyday. Not to say I don't miss back home, this is just a different lifestyle. I'm not saying Orlando is any better, it's just different. If I could afford to commute back for every Bills game, I would but it's only going to be 2 this year. Other than the Bills, Sabres, Canadian Beer, some freinds and a wider variety of local food, there really isn't anything enticing about Buffalo except it's where I was born and raised. -
That is CLASSIC!! Probably one of the best exchanges in movie history.

Salary Cap goes up for this year.

This is true, dib and LA always have some quality to add to the site but the fact that Numark's has a Bill's logo nicely placed, I have to give him the nod for Best Avatar Ever!! -
A4 - B3 - C1 Considering the young players the Bills have in at OLB right now, Harris and Compliance LB, the strategy to move Walker and Butler, the right move would be to shore up the DL considering it hasn't been address except for an UDFA.

Numark, I think, IMO, you should win some sort of contest for that avatar. I'm voting for you for Avatar of the year if there ever is such an honor. -
If white people only buy white we are the racists. I see this country going down the crapper faster and faster every day. I'm only buying white. If a negro is at the counter at McDonalds, am I a racist to ask for a whtie person to serve me? This is F()cking ridiculous.

Did he just toss another interception to the Browns and yank himself trying to chase someone down?

First of all, this point of the post is based on the team basically sucking this upcoming year and who one would want as a head coach to replace the soon to be departed Jauron based on a suck a$$ year. If the Bills do suck, one position that is going to be scrutinized heavily is the QB position. To this point in his career, Edwards has done very little to me or most anyone on this board, to show that he is a ligitimate everyday quarterback. You can take his stats and toss them out the window because it's his game management, demeanor under fire and leadership abilities that fans and coaches alike are going to look at when all is said and done. I, as a fan of this team, am not going to be to happy next off season, to be looking for a new coach for one and a new quarterback. I would love everything to work out this year but the point of the poll is based on worst case scenario. I am not going to be thrilled if TE has his glorious QB rating over 85% and a great completion percentage bacause he is able to complete a 2 yard dump off on 90% of his throws because he is to gun shy and cement headed to stand in the pocket and find the open receiver. It's time for Edwards to put up or shut up this year. The rest of the team doesn't have time to wait another year or two for Edwards to catch up with them. PERIOD

Makes sense but the 46-47 number still seems a bit low in terms of bodies on game day. It just seems to make sense to increase the game day number to 50 or so, give teams an option to have a single week IR system wherein, the team can move a player from the practice squad for that given week just to have the numbers at the position that is low because of injuries. The whole thing, on the surface, appears in need of a makeover because of the 53 players being paid full salaries with another 8 making "minor league" money. I'm thinking something along the lines of MLB where they can shuffle a player back and forth from the minors based on depth due to injuries on any given day. The system just needs some tweaking IMO.

I voted Holmgren only on the contingency that TO would be back another year and Holmgren is a bit more offensively adept and utilizing his playmakers. The defense appears to be heading in the right direction and the Bills weakest link could possibly be at QB and the offense system in general. I would prefer Cowher though because he is more of a chew you up and spit you out kind of coach. If the passing game craps the bed with Edwards, Cowher would be a better coach to utilize the new offensive line into a power oriented offense. The Bills would probably go OT or QB in the 1st round or both in the 1st two rounds next year to change the offensive philosophy. Both are pipe dreams though because Ralph will not pay for either and Gruden would probably come the cheapest of them all.

That is just some funny sh-- right there.

I don't understand why the NFL just doesn't allow the teams to dress all 53 on game days. They are only allowed, I believe 47 plus a 3rd QB. This is one of those screwed up rules that leaves me scratching my head. All 53 players are being paid full salaries and a various 6 don't even have to work on Sundays for it. F$cked Up! On the Wendling topic, the only chance he has to make the team this year is either beating out Scott for a backup SS or turning into a Steve Tasker overnight. He's a damn fine football player and nice guy but the roster limitations really create depth issues at so many positions.
