  1. Who is saying that all these teams have less talent? A fan of the team in question? By the looks of the organization from top to bottom, this is probably the least talented team both on the field and off.............and I am a die hard fan. The talent level is mediocre at best. Just because you "like" some of the players and have a hometown love for the team, player for player on most, if not all of the teams listed, have better talent across the board. Im not being a synic, just a realist. I love this team as much as the next guy but in the last 10 years, if someone can tell me that this team actually has had better overall talent (both on the field and off) than more than 5 teams in the league, I would believe they were high. Sure, there might be a couple of positions that the Bills have some decent talent, but to say that they have more talent overall is ridiculous. I am hoping for 4 wins this year, would love to believe that can get 10 but realistically, they might not get 2.
  2. Checkdown to Jackson after having 8 seconds to throw, fumble, rocovered by NE and returned for a TD.
  3. Just and FYI, Anthony Hargrove made the Saints roster...... • The Saints releasing veteran defensive end Paul Spicer shouldn't be a surprise. The 10-year veteran looked slow during camp and Anthony Hargove clearly outplayed him.
  4. The only difference between and Continuity and a Bucket of sh-- is the Bucket!!
  5. That's a good Bingo! If the man can't pick a coordinator, then I can't see him knowing his own players. Or be able to use them to their strengths and defend them against their weaknesses.
  6. Yes, it was probably interference on the play but if Trent gets the ball there when Evans turns out of the break instead of 3 steps afterwards, it's a catch and possible a nice little run afterwards.
  7. Can't disagree with this at all. So is it coaching, evaluation or just a complete lack of overall talent in the last 3? There are only a handful of QB's that have "IT" when it comes to overall ability. My guess would be that Trent might have potential but not the best "head" to play the game and with such an inept system and coaching staff, I'm thinking that he is just another talented QB (semi or otherwise) that's going to get lost in an overall franchise and system where decent QB's go to die. I would bet that Brady or any present QB would look below average with this coaching staff and franchise in general.
  8. I know it's only preseason and the Bill's have played 3 games with the 1st team offense seeing about 15 series total, but is it time to think about the upcoming cuts for a potential QB for the Bills in the future. I doubt anyone is going to be cut that's worthy of being a starter in the future but after watching Trent so far this preseason, my hope and faith in him is diminishing week by week. Sure, he went 10 for 10 or whatever last week but many of his throws and reads were late. The receivers didn't have the RAC option except the pass to Evans last week and his throws against the Pack were so late that when they weren't getting picked, the receiver was getting nailed as soon as he did make the catch. I would love to see Edwards succeed and I know TO wasn't in the lineup but the fact of the matter is, it's the same old story with this guy. He proved it last year, even in the wins, he makes his decisions too late which hampers the effectiveness of the passing game. I trully believe that teams not only stack the box to stop the run, which is pretty predictable, but in doing so, they eliminate the short pass throwing lanes for TE. Trent is the master of the checkdown and teams are obviously going to be able to exploit that with him. As tough as the schedule looks this year, the obviously poor coaching staff and overall lack of talent, do we start thinking about a potential 1st round Qb selection next year?
  9. He didn't. There were a few plays that changed that game. He was productive but not "great"
  10. I think this is probably one of the biggest things this offense needs to work on the next few weeks. This was a glaring weakness last year and they have picked up right where they left off this preseason. This problem is both on the Coaching Staff and Trent's inability to read the plays opening up quick enough. Trent, IMO, still appears to be a little late on some of the throws, though still getting them there, but just not at the opportune moment. Hopefully this will work out over the next few games because once the Cheatatriots are lined up across the ball, Trent won't have the option of being a little late.
  11. According to my UPS Tracking, I should be receiving mine tomorrow(Thursday) and I believe I ordered it on Friday.
  12. I agree, the best thing the Bills could do is go to the 90's era Uni's as the regular uniform again but it probably won't happen. Regardless, I ordered my Poz white throwback this morning. I think I'm going to sleep in it when it arrives at my door. I'm pumped for the opener, just a mere 51 days away. I'll be in section 337, row unknown at the moment but it doesn't really matter. It's a new year, new uni's and new hope.
  13. Thanks VJ, I started seeing everyone talk about the Raiders playoff game and thought I was losing my mind, that playoff game was balmy compared to the Raiders in '88.
  14. I was there. Froze my a$$ off at that game, though I still don't think it was as cold as the Raiders game a few years prior to that. I think the Raiders game that was absolutely bone chilling was in '88 or '89, I can't remember and I'm to lazy right now to look it up. Anyway, I had the same problem as muddleman, I was tailgating with a bunch of people, had a keg in a U-Haul with a turbo heater in the back but as soon as you made your way down the iced up ramp, your beer was frozen. I actually lost a couple of toe tips at that game. GOOD TIMES THOUGH!!
  15. It works, I haven't paid for Superfan yet and I have all the games in HD. Ask for the Customer Retention Department if the flunky you're talking to isn't budging. I've talked to them, told them that I am a loyal subscriber and really don't want to change back to cable but have told them that it's just costing too much and they gave me Superfan for free and my HD service ($9.99 I think) for free ever since I've upgraded to HD two years ago. DirecTV will work with you on the other services and fees as long as you pay for your regular service and Sunday Ticket. They really do have a pretty good customer service department once you get past the first flunky that answers. Just be patient, it's worth it.
  16. I've had DirecTV and the Sunday Ticket since I moved to Florida in 1996 and believe me, it's worth every penny I've spent on it. Let's just say on average, going out to a Sports Bar, that you spend $30 per game, which is terribly low, it would cost you $480 per season just to go out and catch every Bills game. Obviously, there is the cost of having the basic DirecTv package, roughly $40 per month plus the $250 for the Ticket. Overall, the price is worth it plus when Jauron pulls some dumb a$$ stunt, you start drinking more and the Bar Tab goes up along with the DUI possibilities. I say get off the wallet and get the package. It's worth it in so many ways.
  17. Are there any Bells still around or were they all bought out by Quality in the early 90's or whenever it was?
  18. I can't agree more. I wish that my kids didn't wake me up so early on Sundays though, there is to much time before the game that I start pacing in anticipation. It's actually going to suck a little this year because of the number of 4'Oclock games. All that time prior to kickoff is going to be nerveracking, except of course the Opener and Cleveland games, that I will be attending.
  19. This could get very interesting.....I'm thinking steel cage or some sort of squared circle. By the way GOBILLS78, I was at that Cardinals game in '90. Had season tickets in the tunnel endzone at the time and anyone who sat at that end of the stadium for that game and stuck it out is a diehard. That had to be one of the worst weather days, if you factor in overall sh-- from early in the morning to the end of the game. Breezy with a light rain by mid buzz (10am), getting colder, low 40's by good buzz (noon), much colder, windy, heavier rain just after kickoff and then SLEET with high winds!! Obviously the Cards weren't ready for that kind of weather. It just got uglier as the day went on but had to be one of the funnest games to be at, if you were prepared for the weather. Gotta love the good ole' days when the Bills team actually used the hometown weather in their favor.
  20. Great Thread!! Things that I miss have all been mentioned but some that stand out: Bills season tickets - N3 Row3 seats on the aisle going to Sabres, Bandits and Bisons games the nice summers, here in Orlando, they tend to be a bit brutal but winters here are amazing all the lawn fetes and beer pumped out of the side of a truck blue light driving down RT 14 and sampling wine from Geneva to Watkins Glen Ziggy's on Main and Eggert, never really a big fan of Mighty Taco all the food, you name it, I miss it, especially a Royal Sub from anywhere, John and Mary's in Cheektowaga was the best all the people through the years that I've tailgated with, it numbers in the hundreds and everyone of them is like family I don't miss the same crap everyone has mentioned The endless winters, weeks without sun the negativity, it still baffles me every time I go back that I still hear the same crap the ungodly high taxes just to support generations of families living off the system the ill informed people who vote for someone because their name sounds familiar The one thing that really gets me though is that my two young kids won't grow up with all the variety of things to do and the close knit neighborhood that I grew up in. I'm from the Cleve Hill area in Cheektowaga and growing up, from sun up to sun down, just about all the kids in the neighborhood were together doing something, either in large or small groups but everyone basically got along and did things together. Buffalo(WNY), for the most part, is a large family spread out over miles but it's a place that we all still call home, no matter where we are today.
  21. Per V-Coach, Cary Harris and Lankster have signed.
  22. What Parking???? Went there a few years back for a game and tailgated in a friggin parking garage filled with mostly Bills fans that couldn't figure out where the hell to park in that Shthole for a city. Miami is just okay. Old Cleveland Municipal was a dump but had character. Where else could you go and sit 100 yards from the field in the end zone and still have better seats than the people on the 50 yd. line. Tampa isn't to bad, lots of atmosphere and tons of "scenery" with very little material covering themselves. The worst I have been in is Jacksonville though. At least Atlanta has parking within flying distance to the stadium. The worst parking at the Ralph is far better than the best parking in Jax. The morons that occupy a large number of games in Jax really make you wonder if they weren't bussing in the fans from the backwoods of Georgia and the Carolinas. The best part of Jacksonville, from a Bills fan point of view, is that when all is said and done on gameday, the most of their own fans that occupy the seats are maybe 30,000. The rest are from the opposing team or tarps.
  23. This is very true. I read the board for a while before joining and still come here most of the time just to read. Just because my post level is low doesn't mean I'm not following TBD, I just don't bother dealing with the BS on here most of the time.
