  1. I just ordered and received my white Spiller throwback from DHGate.com. It's the Chinese knockoff but the jersey looks awesome. The cost was $39 including shipping and I received it 8 days from the time I ordered it, with a holiday mixed in there. I used PayPal for the payment which expedited the process, and I used the seller china-trader. I also ordered a Broncos Tebow jersey for my neice and it looks pretty nice too. I know you don't want the knockoff but it's a damn nice jersey.
  2. I am torn between my classic #34 and my brand new Spiller white throwback. I'm leaning towards tailgating in the #34 and changing into the #21 for the game. THAT IS AWESOME. I will be looking for you there. You need to get a copy of the drivers license to tape to the front of that.
  3. I am wondering if Brady was at fault here. Maybe he was in a Tiger-Elin domestic while driving and rear ended the mini-van. Curious to see how this gets buried in the media if he is at fault.
  4. What did you say............I was too busy looking at your avatar. Good Lord that is sweet. Do I wish for someone like Brady, or back in the day, Marino, Cox or Duper to get injured? No. Am I sad for them if they do get hurt? Hell No.
  5. When you put it that way, you make a pretty good point about the writer's article. All I am saying is that the majority of people in Buffalo are fans of the team. Throw in an opening day against a longtime rival, or a win or two here and there and they are much more rabid than being just casual fans as the News writer is suggesting. Maybe I misinterpreted him assumption of the pulse of the city when it comes to the Bills fans and maybe I am just out of the loop since I don't live there anymore, but I stand behind my statement about the writer. It sounds like he is just tossing out something controversial just to get a few more readers and he is just jumping on the negative Nancy bandwagon with the rest of the country. He is a local writer though and should have a better feel for the fans that he is targeting with his writing.
  6. Thanks. I didn't know because I honestly don't remember him when I was living up there. Regardless, he is still a moron. I swear, from what I read around here, that some of the local media in Buffalo could care less if there is a football team there or not. BTW, I was just talking to a few friends down here in Florida about the Bills game you mention in your signature. It was a pretty vivid memory for me. Very interesting weather to say the least.
  7. I agree and disagree here. The rivalry might have lost some of it's luster in South Florida but I doubt it has in Buffalo. Talking about the average Joe, this moronic writer should get a better pulse for the city that bears the name of the newspaper he is writing for. I have no idea who this clown is or where he came from but it seems to me that there used to be a good handful of writers for the BN, and even the Courier for that matter, that knew what a home game against the Fish stood for. It is and always has been the David vs. Goliath game, the have's vs. the have nots. Miami fans couldn't carry the jocks of Bills fans but the perception in the media has always been that Miami is the better city. Not for football though. This writer is a moron and I would guess that he won't last in this town much longer.
  8. I think there needs to be a real effort to coordinate this. THe big question is, which side is the CJ side and which is SPILLER. I am in section 335, which I believe is the visitor side. I am fine with chanting either. What we need is someone inside the scoreboard/sound control booth to put something on the board with this video and instructions for the people who don't see it on here. That is awesome, great story. I am pretty pumped to see the same thing. Nothing against your brother in law but he and the majority of Fish fans don't and will never have the same devotion to their team like us Bills fans (especially us that were born and raised on the Bills). They are mostly bandwagon jumpers and would rather be hanging by the pool than watching their team. I am lucky, living in Florida, I just bought a house with a nice pool that I can hang by on Sundays and still watch the game in HD on my TV from the pool. Except of course this week, since I will be in house chanting either CJ or SPILLER, depending which side I am on.
  9. That was a gorgeous day all around. I can't even rank it in my top 100 games though. Not because it wasn't a great game but the fact that I was there and I left my 30 something-week pregnant wife home 1200 miles away while I enjoyed it. She still hates when I even bring that one up so I tend to completely try to erase it from memory just so I don't get crap from her. Our daughter didn't end up joining us till the middle of October so I still don't see what all the fuss was. Women!!
  10. I would have to say Kelly's first game as a Bill. The energy in that stadium that day was incredible. There have been other times feeling that rush since then but it was personally the first time at Rich that I felt that kind of excitement in the air. Most of the other games I had been to previous to that were just lackluster and mellow.
  11. I love those uni's. I wasn't at that game but I remember it quite well, listening to it on the radio. The one thing that still iritates the hell out of me with the NFL is the fact that they have eliminated the Labor Day weekend games. I loved going to the Home Opener on Labor Day Sunday and having that Monday off. It always was one of the best weekends of the year just because being able to do family things on Saturday and Monday and still have your Football Sunday sandwiched in between. Bring back opening weekend to the first weekend of September.
  12. This is hilarious. Tell us how you really feel. You're dead on and funny at the same time. It's amazing that there are actually people out there that think that on the final cut down day, that the Bills bean counters are actually in the room dictating the roster. Unbelievable.
  13. KR Donald Jones C.J. Spiller PR C.J. Spiller Naaman Roosevelt Donald Jones I know Roosevelt is probably going to make the practice squad but the Bills Site doesn't even mention Parrish, McGee or McKelvin on the PR or KR depth chart. This might explain why Donald Jones was kept over Jackson as a WR. I am guessing that Chan doesn't want his starters returning kicks. Maybe the Special Teams site isn't updated but both the offensive and defensive depth charts are updated so I just find it interesting.
  14. I am really surprised about that one. They must see something in him, possibly they feel that he is going to be one of the 7 non-dressed gameday players and better to have him in that position than Jackson.
  15. C Sean Allen RB Andre Anderson RB Joique Bell QB Levi Brown G Kirk Chambers DE Rashaad Duncan FB Rodney Ferguson C Christian Gaddis TE Andrew George WR James Hardy T Nick Hennessey WR Chad Jackson CB Ellis Lankster G Andre Ramsey WR Naaman Roosevelt CB Lydell Sargeant RB Chad Simpson G Jason Watkins LB Donovan Woods The Bills also announced that SS Jon Corto has been placed on Reserve/Physically Unable to Perform and TE Derek Schouman has been Waived/Injured.
  16. I guess it just becomes a blurr with Lynch. You are right in a sense that he does have a little better nose for the end zone but he still does the tap dancing routine more than he should. If the guy just put his head down and lowered the boom on would be tacklers, he would be much more of an asset to this team. Right now, he is nothing more than a tap dancing head case.
  17. I just wonder why everyone seems to be under the impression that Lynch is some sort of power back or goal line back. That guy does more dancing and shuffling than Spiller. Lynch, IMO, will not be on the team by the opener. I think the guy definitely has potential to be a pretty good back but his dancing has just gotten out of hand. If he would just hit the damn hole and run, he would be worth something and even have some trade value. Right now, there are at least 3 other backs on the roster, possibly 4, with more of a North-South approach than Lynch. I don't know what kind of a guy he is on the sidelines or in the locker room, but if I was a teammate and saw him not delivering blows and avoiding hits like he does would piss me off.
  18. I will premise this by saying that I am not and have never been a huge fan of Trent. I honestly hope he does well because as he goes, so do the Bills. The bolded above is probably about as accurate an analogy as you're going to get. We have seen this movie several times with Trent and I personally don't expect things to change. Sure, I hope they do, but his track record tells me that once a different colored jersey lines up across the LOS from him when games count, he will turtle up and become the Trent we all have seen the last few years. I do have to say that Trent does look much better so far this preseason, which I attribute more to coaching than his actual development. I do believe though, that he has matured with his on-field demeanor, which could work wonders with his ability to see the game at a slower pace. Hopefully I'm wrong about Trent and he will become the QB that is needed with this team. Unfortunately we won't know until a little over 9 days from now.
  19. I would have to say Cox or any Dolphin player, coach, fan or relative to anyone who even associates themselves with any of those. Same goes for the Pats and Jets. I really hated Ronnie Harmon for the longest time but looking back, maybe that drop opened the doors to what followed the next handful of years. I didn't hate Flutie but I did really dislike the guy. I personally think he was responsible for dividing the locker room with those teams in the late 90's and being an indirect cause to such great players leaving on sour notes, such as Bruce and Thurman, with a bunch of others mixed in there. There was definitely some potential with those teams and everyone loves to blame RJ but I think it went a lot deeper than just the QB controversy. I just don't think Flutie was a team player and caused a lot of unnecessary strife among teammates. Just my opinion.
  20. Hey Ramius, what is the turnaround time on the jerseys from DHGate? I know it might be a little late for the opener but I'm just curious. Also, do you have to buy more than one at a time? I've heard and read some good things about those jerseys but I haven't seen anything in a while. Thanks
  21. At worst he provides some depth at the ILB position. If he contributes on Special Teams and gives one of the starters a series off, great. I don't expect much but he definitely looks like there is some ability there with a huge desire to hit people.
  22. Stop making sense, it's doesn't fit with the general negativity on this board. This is one of the smartest things they could have done with both of those players. It's pretty obvious that Easley would have little to no playing time this year and Batten had probably less of a chance than Easley. This move created 2 very precious roster spots that are needed for quality depth at both the OLB and WR positions. Personally, I would rather see the likes of Mitchell at LB and Nelson or Hardy at WR than rookies from small schools that have a much bigger learning curve.
