  1. Trying not to pee on yourself when it's really windy. Always check the wind twice before letting fly, the wind really does shift alot around the tree lines.
  2. Just ask Marcia Brady in New England how he/she likes pressure up the middle. That is how the Giants beat them and that is how the good defenses in the league become the good defenses. They get pressure up the middle, something the Bills haven't consistently had for a long time now. Poz was always getting swallowed up whenever he would rush and when running a 3-4, you need to get pressure from someone up the middle other than your nose tackle.
  3. Langley has the almost the perfect size for a 3-4 DE. I would almost guarantee that he is one of the practice squad players signed to start the season, or he is going to have a mysterious injury in camp which will allow the Bills to "hide" him for a year while he develops.
  4. I am guessing that one of the QB's the Bills were seriously interested in this past draft was Kaepernick(sp) from Nevada. With a couple of the UDFA's from there, my guess would be that they noticed them during scouting trips. Also, with a couple of Florida guys (noticed while scouting Dareus or even Tebow last year) and a few guys from Conference USA, my guess would be that they were scouting someone, QB or other, pretty heavily in that conference too. I could be wrong but the Bills did get a bunch of guys from a fairly small pool of talent, with only a handful of conferences represented in the UDFA's. I like some of the signings and the punter seems quite intriuging.
  5. I think it was red at one time and that would look pretty good again with the new colors on the field. Hopefully there is a plan in place to do that. They could paint it after the new turf is down since there is a border area around the ring and any spillage won't get on the new turf. I just hope someone at OBD has this in their plans, if not, they should be contacted soon about doing it.
  6. I'm in Orlando too but I would prefer the Bills to stay in Buffalo. I like going there for the games and it would be too hot and uncomfortable here to watch some of the early season games.
  7. Thats some pretty funny stuff. Some guy named Merriman even made the credits.
  8. I have to agree that the jerseys from this site are fantastic for the prices, I have several of them and can't complain at all. I also agree that I am a little skeptical of the first run of these. I am going to wait a few weeks to see what other sellers have to offer but all in all, everything I have received from dhgate so far has been better than expected.
  9. I love that show. I bought the DVD of season 1 and it is absolutely hilarious. There are a lot of scenes on the DVD that didn't make the network for obvious reasons. If anyone hasn't seen this show and plays FF, go out and get the DVD's, you will love it. The Shiva trophy episode with Shiva Kamini has to be one of the best. Great actors and actresses you might have seen as 2nd tier characters on other shows are the headliners on this one. Just some funny sh*t to watch.
  10. Having a dedicated line shouldn't be that hard, as long as you aren't trying to do it 30 minutes before kickoff. Once it's there, all you have to do is move your stuff every weekend and you are set. I don't know your house and patio setup but if it's easier to run a line off an open spot on your LNB right out to the patio, I would suggest that.
  11. Hey Gordio, I would take whatever Fezmid says as gospel when it comes to DTV. He is the local guru around here and he knows everything you need to know about DirecTV. With that said, one thing to consider is dedicating a line from either your multiswitch, the one in the house or the one from the Dish itself and run it to your patio. Then all you have to do every weekend is grab your TV and receiver and set it up outside. I have done the same thing in the past and it works great. I bought a new house last year and had the DTV installer run a dedicated line to a permanent receiver and TV that I have on my patio. Of course, I live in Florida and can get away with it but it's a wonderful thing. I haven't watched a Bill's game indoors in about 4 years now and this past season, I was able to watch a majority of them from my pool which is awesome. Good luck with the setup and contact Fezmid if you run into problems.
  12. Thanks Jay. I just sent an email to a friend of mine that gets me my tickets every year to see if he can get me my 6 again. Hopefully there hasn't been a lot of people buying up tickets to games that might not happen and there some decent seats left.
  13. I got this off of the Bills website: Bills individual game tickets will tentatively go on sale in late July. My link If individual game tickets went on sale to season ticket holders, there isn't anything mentioned on the site about it. Well, not that I saw anyway. I do already have my airfare for the home opener weekend so I hope tickets go on sale soon, if there is a season of course.
  14. This might be a stupid question, considering I am not a season ticket holder and live out of town, but didn't the Bills change the opening of the stadium lots last year to 9am? If so, wouldn't that mean that they are now opening at 10am? For some reason, I seem to remember my buddy that gets me my tickets, saying that the lots opened last year at 9. I don't know.
  15. If you met your wife at a Bills game, you might be a Bills fan
  16. I don't know when but I would guess that they are probably going to try something in the next couple of weeks just to smooth over the fact that that is when they start selling individual game tickets. They probably need some sort of promotional event to "wag the dog" with the CBA debacle. Someone mentioned in another post that since the players are not permitted to have anything to do with the team until the CBA is straightened out, the Bills might consider bringing in some former players to model the new uniforms, which would be a fantastic idea. Just wondering if the older players would do something like that since it would be sort of crossing some imaginary picket or union brotherhood line.
  17. I realize that but they have McGee, Poz and Evans on the main page for $20. Probably just a coincidence but those are 3 players that might not be here next year too. Anyway, it's a pretty good sale on the throwback jerseys regardless. It also looks like they are going to keep the white throwbacks and eliminate the blue ones, which is good.
  18. Check out the prices on the jerseys. I know they have a Spiller jersey listed here also but it is only one size. The other jerseys are for players that might or might not be with the team next season depending on how everything shakes out with the new CBA. Regardless, there is a fire sale going on here with the jerseys, and possibly the players. Who knows. http://www.shopthebills.com/Buffalo-Bills-Jerseys/Royal-Blue-NFL-Jerseys.aspx Just an update: I looked further into the sale and they also have a Fitz jersey for the same price. I am guessing that they are looking to unload overstock to make room for the new product hopefully coming soon.
  19. Am I the only one that thinks that Aaron Williams might end up being the best pick of this draft? Sure Dareus is going to be a star but I really think that Williams has serious potential to fall into an elite status when people talk of all time great DB's. The pre-draft show on NFLN with Williams and Prince A. showed alot of what we are in for with this kid. I could be wrong but I think the reason that the Bills didn't move out of that pick was the fact that Williams was still on the board and Buddy probably didn't expect him there. He has some serious talent and if Texas was even remotely considered for a shot at the national title, he would have been a much much higher pick. In reference to Bill from NYC's assessment of the draft, I have to agree that this might be the first draft that was handled from top to bottom by people that have worked in some capacity with football for a better part of their lives. I am sure Mr. Wilson was aware of everything going on regarding who was going to be picked and what potential trades were offered, but it does appear that he has stepped back and let football people run his football team, probably for the first team. Thank you Mr. Wilson.
  20. I thought I was the only one noticing that. I like Gruden even though he might be all rainbows and lollipops most of the time. Call it a hunch but Kiper's days as the suppposed NFL guru might be coming to an end. He had a niche for a long time but it's fading fast with everyone and their mother becoming a draft expert nowadays.
  21. I love this pick. Everyone has some misconception that we are deep at DB when the reality is we are paper thin. We can't get off the field on 3rd down, that is as plain as day. With Dareus and Williams, our defense got much much better and with Williams being pretty good in run support, we finally have someone that can finally step into the huge void in the defensive backfield when Winfield left. There are too many people here on this board that look at the "big" names and overlook the quality football players out there. Get over the "name" players and realize the Bills finally have a front office that look for ball players, not flashy over-hyped name players. If you look at who the Bills have selected the last 2 years, they have generally selected the star player from their respective teams. They aren't only drafting players but drafting leaders too.
  22. I like the idea of Cameron Jordan in the 1st. I know it's considered a reach by the so-called experts but I think he is going to be a hell of a player and many of the experts that don't work for ESPN seem to think that this guy is the best DL in the draft. If we got Jordan in the 1st and a LB like Wilson or Reed in the 2nd, I would be satisfied if they completed the draft right there. Of course, we have so many other holes to fill that we still would need 15 more picks to actually fill those. If there ever was a time to trade down a few spots and pick up an additional 2nd, this would be the year. They could still probably get Jordan in the 4-7 range, a LB with the first of the 2nd round picks and still get their QB, Ponder, Mallet or whoever Chan feels would be the best fit for his offense, with the second 2nd rounder. The 3rd round should be a corner or safety, whichever is rated higher on the Bills board at the time. The 4th round picks can go towards the offensive side, TE and OT. The 5th - 7th can go towards LB's, OLinemen and possibly a RB.
  23. Can Henery hold on XPA and Field Goals though? That is Moorman's best position right now. He either has lost something with his leg or the change of ST coaches has screwed with his head but he looked below average last year. I thought the only reason he was on the team was for holding. Does anyone know if there is anyone on the team that can hold other than Moorman. He has been doing it for so long that I can't remember the last player that held on XPA except for Reich.
  24. I am sure the suburbanization of WNY has had a huge affect on the city proper but I think the policy's of the city government going back to the 70's has a lot to do with it also. The city actually had people living and working in the city all at the same time. Now, with most business that produced something, having left, that equation no longer fits. Couple that with the low income housing boom for over 75% of the city and viola, everyone leaves. Buffalo used to be a gem with alot to offer it's residents but now it only can offer affordable housing for everyone and the opportunity to see crime up close and personal.
