  1. Byrd is in a contract year and could be looking for a significant increase and the Senator Wilson isn't getting any younger. Safety might not be an immediate need but we could be going into next years draft with it being the thinnest position on the team. The Bills could just be looking ahead and seeing Barron might be the best Safety coming out over the next couple of years.
  2. I plan on making that trip from Orlando with at least a few other Bills fans
  3. Love this post every year.....looking forward to the opener, haven't missed one since '83 and I've been out living in Florida since after the '95 season. Can't Wait till the opener
  4. I wouldn't want Romo as our QB, so I really don't want Fitz, who is about half as good as Romo, as our QB. Since I don't have a choice in the matter, I think that I would rather have the option of sticking with Fitz this upcoming year and seeing what he can do with a pretty decent Defense helping him out. I don't think Romo, even with a good D and talent around him is going to get any better than what you have seen out of him. So, for now, I will see what Fitz can do with what the potential D and possible draft choices helping him out
  5. Pushing a very fine line there, luckily you have the Y at the end. LOL The whole Kevin Bacon thing is scarey to say the least. There should be a movie about him and every actor/actress he has affected in some way. It would probably be a 24 hour long movie.
  6. All I am trying to say here is there is no way Payton didn't have a hand in this. If there is an underling out there that has some sort of power over their superiors, we would all love to hear it. There is no way in HELL that Williams did what he "supposedly" did without the Head Coach and any other assistants knowing about it. This sort of "behavior" has been going on in the NFL for years and NOW it's an issue???? There is something else going on here that isn't on the surface but has been trickling down the pike for a while now. FLAG FOOTBALL IN THE FUTUE. Just kidding but who knows!
  7. I am sure not everyone agrees with me on this but Gregg Williams is a scapegoat. I would love to hear someone defend Payton on this. He is such a model coach that he allowed whatever infranctions to occur under his watch as HEAD COACH and didn't have a hand in it!!! I would love a Saints fan to defend the "coach" and realisticly admit that Payton wasn't involved in encouraging his players to be aggresive. This is the fault of the NFL and if anyone is at fault, it's the players that played the game aggessively just to try and show off. The NFL is somehow trying to turn the game into something soft and the simpletins that follow the game have no clue how soft Goddell is trying to make the league. Roger Goddell should be fired by the owners strictley because of the "witch hunt" he is conducting on Williams. I am sure that Williams isn't the only coach in the NFL that had a pre-game speach that encouraged his players to be aggresive. I would love for someone to support Payton with this. In my eyes, Payton is the pussyass that blew in his former assistant just to keep his "guaranteed salary" next year without taking a banned for life penalty that he should get for being the kitty coach that he is.
  8. Another player from a previous regime gone. I'm too lazy to look it up but I am guessing that there are very few players left from the Donahoe/Levy tenure. I guess you could count the Byrd/Levitre draft class but Buddy did have his fingers in that. Off the top of my head, I count 5 drafted pre-Buddy and a handful of free agents, including the kickers, before he got here, the rest are all Buddys players. The team is definitely getting younger and getting rid of all of those guys that have no clue how to win in Buffalo(not that any of the current ones do either but...). I am guessing that Kelsay and McGee could be next and the only one safe for the time being would be Kyle Williams.
  9. Love that movie I don't know who D. Smith is and I don't follow Buffalo politics that much since I don't live in the area BUT I have heard from an inside source that just about all of city hall and anything affiliated with it are corrupt.
  10. I've always been a big fan of this kid. I hope the Bills take him with one of the 4th round picks or even the 5th if he's still there. I don't think he will make it that far and some team is going to get a really good "student of the game" type player. He might not have the ideal size but he can throw the ball, can read and pick apart a defense and knows how to win.
  11. Mallo Cup??? Love those things
  12. I agree with getting T.Y. He is a playmaker and would fill the Roscoe slot nicely.
  13. I think you are correct on all accounts. It is Ralph maybe seeing that the door is closing on him and the fact that in this day and age of the NFL, you have to pony up every now and then just to keep up. I do also believe that Buddy is very crafty and saw a couple of years ago that when he took the GM job, there wasn't much he could do with what he had. I believe he didnt want to blow all of Ralph's cash on players that weren't going to make a difference right away, so he has been plucking castoffs off other teams, retaining the talent he inherited and picking and choosing his signings, up till now, on solid starters and quality depth. He was able to bankroll quite a bit with this approach and now, when the pile of money was there, Buddy jumped at the chance to get a difference maker. He got a guy that will come to play and help turn a porous defense around. He also got a guy that will help put asses in the seats and more cash into the revenue stream. Its all about timing and Buddy has played it as well as anyone could have.
  14. +1 Martin would be the OT but definitely Claiborne if he falls, can't pass up that talent but doubt he makes it to 10.
  15. If the Bills draft an OLB somewhere in the draft, you can pretty much count on Moats trying to hang on as a Special Teamer at best. His days are probably numbers, especially with the switch to the 4-3.
  16. He broke free from the chains, beat the hell out of the gimp and is now running through orchard park with a gag in his mouth
  17. Does anyone know what the cost is for tickets in the upper deck, preferrably between the 30's but anywhere up top would be ok as long as it isn't in the corners? I had seasons between '85 and '96 in N3 but moved to the Orlando area in '96. I still live there and might be able to travel up to 2 or 3 games.
  18. If he was Cuban or Puerto Rican, sure it might be.
  19. ^^ THIS Regardless if the Bills need a CB or not, IMO they do, you take Claiborne if he there at 10. IF he is there and they don't take him, there had better be someone like Luck, Griffith or Kalil there that they opted for instead. The guy is a stud and playmaker and you don't pass on playmakers to take a DE at 10 just because you need one. I am a believer that if you are picking in the top half of the 1st round, you definitely grab BPA. If that BPA is also in a position of need for you, it's a no brainer. I don't think you reach (Maybin or Whitner) in the 1st for a player because he fills a need and you especially don't if your team is seriously lacking in the playmaker department, which the Bills have been completely lacking for a decade.
  20. Very cool, near Duff's then. Thanks for the info, can't wait to try it next trip up.
  21. Where is Kentucky Gregs? I moved out of the area in '96 but I do get back into town usually twice a year, once for the opener and the other for either another game or the German Fest in Marilla in July. I grew up in Cheektowaga so I am sure I can find it when I'm up there next. Also, what kind of BBQ would you compare it to, Texas, Kansas or Carolina? Thanks
  22. If Chan stays in his pass first approach, NO; if he utilizes his offensive line strength at run blocking, YES, it's very doable
  23. There are a few different gathering spots for Bills fans in the Orlando area. The problem is, it all depends where you plan on living. Orlando, and the suburban Orlando area is really spread out. I live in a northern burb and it takes me just about an hour to get to the southern burbs, not nearly as long as East to West burbs but pretty close. Once you're settled, check here and find which place has a gathering of Bills fans closest to you. I do know that some of the Beef O Brady's and as mentioned, Ale Houses, have groups of Bills fans that meet. Also, the owner of Woodys BBQ in Orange City is from the Buffalo area and they have great smoked wings and pretty good specials on Sunday.
  24. Johnnie Blue or Black for that matter does not need any mixer unless it's ice. Period.
