Kumerow to Packers for a pick Howard and Crowder are also possible trade candidates
-
I believe players either receive a hat from every team they visit or the camera crew brings 1 from every team.

Based on his interviews he probably couldn't of made him more attractive to McBeane if started yelling "Process" when he walked in the door. He sounds like a guy who has a bit of tweaking needed but a ton of raw attributes and a good head on his shoulders. While the trade up might of been a tad drastic; I'll take getting the guy I want over getting conservative and missing out. The likelihood of pick 25 + our 4th being more valuable to this team than Elam is rather slim. For all we know someone tried to trade up with Baltimore with a 26 or 27 and their 5th and the Bills merely upped it enough to win.

Here's something that may hint that Dallas planned to take him. His Dad played for them and Jones likes drafting those types of players.

While not a wow pick, he's a capable CB who has a sub-4.40 and isn't a stick. Coach him up McD

If you could have had RJ call one famous Bills play

I’d say it would sound akin to this. -
2021 Bills ST coach Heath Farwell joins the Jags
thewookie1 replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think you have to look at it this way, yes Frasier made 2 bad calls but it ends up both on the players and the coach. If Farwell was told to kick it short and somehow failed to make sure that all 11 players got the message then that’s almost entirely on him. He has arguably the smallest number of players to keep informed on every ST play and yet he somehow failed to give his kicker the play -
Rumored Giants Players Available for Trade
thewookie1 replied to SCBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
Not really interested in any of them with their present situations. Toney scares me as why would he be on the block after 1 year aside from major red flags. Barkley’s contract is too big and he’s constantly hurt. He hasn’t even looked great since last year pre-injury. Bradberry I’d take if he’s released by the Giants. Keep his cap hit sub 9mil though seeing as he’d be CB2 -
Buffalo Bills’ salary cap ramifications of cutting DT Star Lotulelei

I’d just wait until June 2nd, then there would be tangible cap gained -

Anyone who doesn't have orthodox or "old school" view on offensive play calling. I don't want to see runs on 1st and 2nd down in all situations or any of that run to open up the pass garbage. We need innovative. So Daboll but without the weird random onset run obsessions or strange need to get cute at times.

Sullivan: Bills' McDermott choked away Super Bowl-caliber season
thewookie1 replied to QCity's topic in The Stadium Wall
Did McD and the coaches choke, yes. But that was all Reid was known for until his time with Mahomes. A coach can learn and adjust; McD has grown over time himself. I do hope McD takes the blame, after all he shouldn’t be fired for this and it would give further credence to his 1 out of 11 mantra. In this case the plus coaches area screwed up while trying to prevent Mahomes from going down the field. For all we know the defense just wasn’t sure how to cover Hill + Kelce in this unusual situation. It’s not exactly a common situation to have the opposing team have 3 TOs and two of the best targets in the game. I have tried to figure out what the best plan for the defense would of been and end up slightly concerned regardless. If you run a traditional defense you run the risk of them going over the top with either of their major targets. If you rush less than 4, Mahomes likely has more time to wait and thus throw a longer pass. It honestly felt as if the Bills were hoping KC would kill their own clock by waiting for a long pass or by throwing multiple short ones. My suggestion would of been to rush 3 with Rousseau, Oliver, and either Hughes or Phillips. Have 8 guys in coverage with 6 DBs and 2 LBs. Have Edmunds and Milano line up at the line against Kelce and Hill and bump them off the snap. Don’t hold since that isn’t allowed anymore but just give them a thump. After that have the other 6 DBs play a protective umbrella with the LBs “covering” the two big targets. The bump should kill 1 second more. By keeping an LB following the two main targets you are looking for more sure tacklers but also to merely force Mahomes to put a little more air under the pass. Essentially do everything you can to keep them throwing shortish but while trying to make them waste time by preventing “Go” routes. Hell, use Hill’s running ability against them by trying to give an illusion of space so he runs around a little. -
If he can fix it, his ability to bounce out of bad games within the game itself. For instance games like the Jaguars game where he never seemed quite right. (Granted the OL had a lot to do with it) If he can improve his consistency and make his worst games still be at a higher level he has everything required to be the best QB in the NFL bar none. He has all of Mahomes' skill but also has the ability to run like a RB which Mahomes can't exactly do. If Allen were to play next season like he did in the playoffs, he'd shatter records. Besides that, he can always work on accuracy, recognizing defenses, etc. No QB is perfect and Allen is no exception, however he arguably has the greatest pool in which to fill. (Effectively if Fromm were a kiddie pool and Trubisky a regular 4ft pool, Allen would essentially be one of those giant waterpark pools twice the size of Olympic swimming pools)

Allen is rather close to what Fitz would of been if he had a "unicorn" body. Both are gunslingers who will do anything and everything they can to win a game.

To be honest I think it was a combination of the Patriots never adjusting and relying so much on their lineman who just didn't get to Allen all day and likely Allen giving a heartfelt speech to his line when he gave them their gifts. You know like some akin to, "We've all have had troubles this year, our team is banged up and sick but I know we can do it. I know all of you here can do it; so let's have a good Christmas and go out there Sunday and break the Pats!"

A Few Thoughts about the Patriots* Game, in no particular order
thewookie1 replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
The game just sucked all around; our team is incapable of stopping run-heavy offenses and can neither run effectively or efficiently. I'll give Diggs a mulligan for his drop; when you watch the replay, the ball seems to hit a gust just as he's at the 5 or so and it falls unusually. Seeing as a player can't literally watch the ball into his hands while also running full speed and trying to stay inbounds I can certainly guess what happened. When the ball is coming his way, a receiver makes multiple glances at the ball and his surroundings. Diggs likely glanced up, determined its trajectory and at some point between two glances the ball lost all of its forward velocity thus instead of reaching his hands it dropped aggressively and hit his arm. Just look at his face, he's completely baffled as to how the ball ended up where it did. Stone handed Knox returned and either his season start was a mirage or his recently injured hand didn't take to the weather real well. (After all, Allen had to put serious juice on the ball and it was cold) Our RBs should be ashamed of their performances; on one of the RZ drives Singletary had the outside open with only 1 guy to beat and instead he ran it into a pile of guys for 1 yard. Peyton Manning even commented on it. Someone please tell Allen to stop bothering with offside free-plays; the refs have no interest in helping us. Otherwise he had a solid game. You could tell on a few throws, like the one on the final red zone drive, that the ball wasn't behaving very well with throws going on an angle or laterally. A back shoulder throw that you have to throw on a rope, at a diagonal, into a gust of wind is going to curve to the right. (Just like Bass's missed FG) But unlike a FG kicker, Allen has little hope in trying to bend a ball on a curve while trying to lead a receiver. -
12/6/21 Gameday Thread Bills vs. Pats* 2nd Half Thread
thewookie1 replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall
Allen played well at least. The stone hands came out in force and add in the wind and you've got ample excuses for a few of the missed throws. Unsure what else to say; probably done watching for a while if not the season. -
11/7/21 Bills @ Jaguars Postgame Thread
thewookie1 replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Pretty much my best guess; he's never "not" tried to get players at the deadline but OL are not exactly an easy purchase at the deadline. He could of got another DB but I can understand hesitance based on the health we had going into the game.
