Gameday Thread Bills vs Saints 1st Half
HuSeYiN_NYC replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Let's GO Bills... start off fast -
That's a stat I heard a few days ago. Even Shady didn't know that stat. The 1st series on offense should tell us a whole lot if any "adjustments" have been made.

Your brother plays on Saints, who do you root for?
HuSeYiN_NYC replied to Kelly the Dog's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I respect Tre's family and friends for sticking with the team they rooted for for years. Any other game they can root for the Bills but I completely understand why they would root for their home team vs. the Bills. -
The coin toss is also important. The Saints I would assume if they win the coin toss will elect to receive (though I'm not sure if that's what they usually do). Us on the other hand we always differ (don't knowif that's how u spell it. I like getting the ball 2nd half but we never have good 1st quarters as an offense. I really hope we get things going offensively in the 1st half today.

Ummmmm... don't know where u going with that... i like the unis what's the problem? -
Well we've seen many post game locker room speeches so my guess would be it's similar to that but more serious with team captains speaking to their group. Another guess would be that all sides of the ball are separated so that the coordinators can speak to THEIR guys only and maybe right before they come back on the field, McDermott probably gives a team "protect the dirt" or "make sure you bring your process" speech on the way out.

Bills are practicing outside today

I like it. The quicker we get our boys used to the cold weather, the easier it'll get. The 1st time 40 degree weather comes along seems colder than when it starts hitting the 30s cuz by that time we kind of get used to the cold. Smart move. -
Cordy Glenn injured AGAIN.

I got stabbed in my 20s and took it like a champ. Didn't feel pain til 30 minutes after. But I turn into a little girl if I get a papercut. -

I thought the uniforms looked great (on their own) but doesn't go well with the grass... If they played on a blue field or something it would look better. -
Derek Carr Got Hurt Over Anthem Protests
HuSeYiN_NYC replied to Buffalo Barbarian's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
1st time I heard of her since I don't have instagram and facebook and those type of social media apps. ButI DID watch her interview on The Breakfast Club on YouTube and thought she was a pretty real woman with her words, UNTIL, she called Buffalo "The Armpit of America". She lost my respect right then and there. -
How much impact will Benjamin have Sunday?
HuSeYiN_NYC replied to JM2009's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yes Tyrod did play a decent game but also panicked also. The line never helped him at all so I can't fault TT but I'm sure when they watched film, TT saw the mistakes HE made also. As far as defenses keeping TT in the pocket, with better blocking up front, TT can even run FROM the pocket. He's done it before. The edges collapse and TT takes off on either the Center's right or left side (whichever side has the block holding up). Benjamin should and will take some of that pressure off the line because the defense has to account for where he is at all times. Hopefully in man to man situations TT will throw to him even if he's covered. TT throws high anyway so for Benjamin those are catchable balls. But better blocking solves most of the problems on offense cuz I actually DO believe that Tyrod is a good enough QB to make the throws we need him to. He just needs to pull the trigger. I'm curious to see what adjustments will be made to the line (hopefully some player changes instead of just "practicing fundamentals) on Sunday. I remember a few years ago I used to watch a lot of Giants games cuz a buddy of mine was a fan of them and we would watch Bills at 1pm then Giants at 4pm. That year the Giants had one of the worst O-lines and then they benched a couple guys and replaced them with their backups and moved people around from right side to left and it worked. I can only hope McDermott would try this. That would at least show me that he acknowledges that the line is a issue and that he's working on making it better. Glenn has earned every right to be the LT and some people suggested Glenn to the right side but I wasn't one of them. Glenn at left, Dawkins at right, Wood at C, Miller at RG and Incognito at LG is something I'd like to see. -

The "blueprint"? What blueprint? The Jets didn't do anything out of the ordinary. They threw 8 in the box and smacked us in the mouth. Everybody was bad that day. Playcalling especially. If Dennison adds a few quick slants and Tyrod throws to the right receiver and the receiver makes the catch, you will see less and less 8 in the box. -
Oh, I've done it now...

11-6: McDermott and Coordinator Pressers
HuSeYiN_NYC replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I would have to look the word jovial up in the dictionary but I have an understanding of what you're saying. I needed those press conferences today to be able to put the Jets game behind us. It played a big role in how I as a fan feel going into the next game. With previous bland coaches in the past, I would watch the press conferences particularly after a loss and be like, yeah whatever coach. You said that LAST week. You not fooling anybody. But with McDermott, even though he repeats himself constantly, it just puts a sigh of relief to my thoughts and that's why I believe we have a good coach. He seems like he's moved on from the Jets game and he even got me to look past it. If he can fool me as a fan who has been through all the heartbreaks, I'm sure the players have moved on and put their focus on the Saints also. Dennisons' interviews never leave me with any confidence except for maybe 1 week in the season (I forget which team we were about to face) but yeah, he doesn't excite me at all. Now on the other hand. LESLIE FRAZIER. Am I the only one who LOVES the way he talks and explains things? Man. There is just SO much honesty in his interviews and if I had the talent, I would play my heart out for that guy. Literally. Play til I can't breathe. He's like the Uncle I never had lol. Just very soft spoken but says EVERYTHING you need to hear. His interviews are what I look forward to the most out of all the coaches. Kelvin Benjamin. My first impressions of him are very positive. Seems like a humble guy, funny guy, team guy and a pro. His words didn't seem rehearsed and I believe he said Buffalo already feels like home and he wants to play here for a long time. He also said that before any of that happens, he gotta earn the respect of the players 1st and THEN the higher ups (and I loved that comment). The coaches already know you can play or else they wouldn't of traded for you. He wants to earn the respect of his teammates first and i LOVE that type a talk coming from a wide receiver (who the league sometimes calls them, divas). I like his attitude and I'm glad we got him. All in all it was a good day with the pressers. -
Is every team with 3 losses doomed?
HuSeYiN_NYC replied to DisplacedBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well then it's time to see what kind of team we have right? Me personally, i think I needed to see a couple press conferences to feel a little better going into the next game and I was right. Watching the pressers today made me feel a little better. Now, am I saying we're going to win? No. I've never been the type a person to just hand out victories to teams. Not even when we play the Pats. I never just chalk it up as a loss. The Pats have to earn their victories (by way of referee help at times but we not gonna get into that). When I watched the press conferences I wanted to see the coach's reaction on Monday and he looked good. He wasn't too bent up about it and has moved his focus to the Saints. The ONLY advantage we have at this point for me personally is, we play at home. As far as how they will perform? That's a wait and see to have a look at what kind of team we have. -

I know what you mean. But they looked deflated. It was weird because for the 1st time ever, i got a notification from the Bills app letting me know that the Bills pregame warmup was live and I watched our players do stretches and throws and drills at like 715pm (an hour before kickoff). It felt like I was at the game it was awesome. TT looked light on his feet, all our players looked like they had energy and they were ready to go. McDermott was walking around tapping players while they were stretching and had a few words with each player. Then the game started and POOF! All that energy left the building. The O-line never looked angry at their performance DURING the game and neither did the defense (except Hughes). I didn't like Hughes having words with the referee which cost us 15 yards, but say what you want about Hughes but I personally love his idgaf attitude. It shows heart, it shows emotion and it shows confidence. If he can somehow be that way without getting costly penalties, he'd be perfect. But yeah, both teams had a short week and I agree that we're a preparation based team, but you can't prepare hunger to win. You can't prepare toughness and emotion. It comes natural and our boys just didn't have any on Thursday. I remember thinking to myself at halftime, "man, Kyle is gonna have some words with the D-line" so I was expecting the defense to half a much better 2nd half. It wasn't the case. We just didn't have anything to give. The Jets could of played against the scout team that's how bad it looked... I need some press conferences to maybe put some confidence back in me for next weeks game. The Bills app been dry since Thursday. I need some process. -

I don't think its that we have 3 losses, just at HOW we lost on Thursday that raised question marks all over the place. The pain I felt on Thursday believe it or not, still lingers. I'm not part of the "we're doomed" crowd. But I was brought back to Earth on Thursday. I'm hoping it was just one of those days because this time, the whole team was trash. Not just the offense. The smarter part of my brain tells me that we need turnovers to actually have a chance at winning games and that worries me. I mean really worries me. Like saviorpeterman kind of worried. -

Classic thread... Almost makes me forget the pain of Thursday night...

Don't remember EXACTLY how but I know I google searched for something Bills related and clicked and here I was. I only have 1 real life buddy who is a Bills fan (now 2) so nobody referred me to this site. I got here on my own. Really tough for a person like me who is born and raised in Queens NY surrounded by Giants and Jets fans. Also I'm not tech savvy so when I found out about TBD where I can talk about and read about the team I love with fans who share the same joy and pain I feel, it was a no brainer. This would be my go to for Bills news. I used to visit this site as a guest for a long time without posting anything then I made an account before this one but had a different screen name so I made this one instead (not tech savvy so I didn't know I could just change my username if I wanted). I remember 26CB when he was here with his 1st few posts of breaking news. I was like wow this guy got the news out so Quick. I found TBD by "chance" some would say. But I would say I was "searching" for it.

The QB subject is not one I would touch with this regime. This is NOT a I don't like Tyrod post, just an observation. They chose TT as their starter (cool makes sense). They got Peterman (kid actually looks decent). They knew from watching past film (and still know) TT's sttengths and weaknesses and have seen improvements (as have I) but yet still calls plays that totally go against his strengths. The biggest question mark I have is from the Thursday night game when the game was CLEARLY over, Tyrod was still sent out to the huddle. Why not put Peterman in at that point? Did you really think you were going to come back and pull a miracle? If TT is your starter, why risk getting him injured in a point of the game where it doesn't make sense to have him out there? To the topic at hand: I would like a QB in the draft but ONLY if we draft him early. If it's past the 2nd round, I want to stay away from drafting a QB. But I would like our first four picks to be linemen... 2 OL and 2 DL. Then LB, CB, and TE... Anything after that I don't care what they do... We're gonna need a Kyle replacement, a Dareus replacement (or someone who can reach the potential he never did) and a better pass rusher opposite Hughes. We been getting 0 pressure on the QB rushing just 4. OL is the biggest issue. What's so difficult with trying out new things? Why not try Dawkins at RT? Why not try Groy at RG next to Dawkins? I've seen many teams in the past flip their linemen around midseason and have it work. Why don't we? But if we dont draft a QB with the 1st two picks, then I say please don't draft a QB at all. I'm willing to stick with Tyrod and Peterman as long as they give them protection on the O-line.

Everyone, this is what needs to be done on Offense
HuSeYiN_NYC replied to bobobonators's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We honestly don't have anything special drawn up in our playbook. I expect with the addition of Benjamin for defenses to respect the passing game as long as Tyrod hits him a couple times. But why can't we draw up something unexpected like getting Logan Thomas the ball on a screen pass and then have him throw? Wasn't he a QB? Stuff like that just to keep the opposing defense guessing. -

I agree with the idea but I would also add that the play design also matters. First off we DEFINITELY need to be more aggressive on the line but HB Dive plays won't work with Shady even with good blocking. They stack the box with 8 so Shady can't bounce it outside and he's not really a run up the middle kind of guy. Fred Jackson yes, but not Shady. Speaking of Freddy, sure would love to have him as our #2 at this point. I was always for that idea but I'm sure the people who weren't probably wouldn't mind it now either. It's very tough to evaluate what exactly went wrong against the Jets when our O-line was being pushed back as if they dont even weigh over 300 pounds or even close to it. I thought Tolbert was brought in for good blocking and short runs to get the 1st. Having him actually backup Shady is not what I imagined we'd be doing. -
Why does this happen after EVERY loss?

The Bills are a Any Given Sunday team... Keep us away from Thursdays and we'll be fine.
