I am in favor of fixing up the defense, probably by making a few changes to better fit Rex's scheme. On offense, the O-line could use an upgrade or 2 and a solid #2 receiver. Then maybe we win those close games and are 8 - 5 and in the mix for the playoffs.

I liked the Rex hiring. Not so happy about the numerous penalties or underwhelming defense. But I want to give him and Whaley at least one more season to make improvements. It won't take too much to improve the win total. This year, the Bills were competitive in almost every game. Much more than in previous seasons. Of course it is frustrating when they don't win the close ones, but like I said I think the are close. Firing Rex will just reset the clock and we would have to start from scratch again.

If we can beat the Jags without major injuries, I'm pretty optimist about the rest of the year. Hopefully our skill players will heal over the bye, the defense will fine tune their scheme to better fit their talents and we'll be competitive for the reminder of our games. The defense will have to live up to expectations to beat the Patriots. I think they can do it if they use press coverage and the D-Line can get to Brady. The Cowboys are iffy on defense and who knows what shape Romo and Dez will be in. Anyway, I think we have the talent if the team can get its act together. Oh, and Rex needs to do something about the penalties!

I think he does have a ways to go, but think he has considerable upside with his great running ability, strong arm and his calm under pressure.

TT is doing pretty good with QBR and QB rating. His QBR rating was #6 for the game. He is #13 for the year. He is #7 for the year with QB rating with a 103.6. Ya, he has some ugly plays, but also many spectacular plays. He is better than my expectations of what our QB play would have been going into training camp.
