What changed for Denver and Elway with Shanahan was the run game with RB Terrell Davis as they started running the ball more than they threw it...2000 yards rushing one year. It's like Don Shula with Dan Marino who was such a good QB passer that ole Don had forgotten what won him those SBs. Sure, he had Bob Griese at QB who had 218 pass attempts in 73. Then you had Jim Kick, Mercury Morris, and Larry Czonka with 507 rush attempts. The Buffalo Bills are going in the right direction with McD as HC and Joe Brady as OC. Currently, Buffalo has 397 passing attempts and 362 rushing attempts, a very balanced offensive attack. If Buffalo had a Chris Jones they would have gotten pressure on Matt Stafford and it's a different game. The Buffalo defense is lacking that difference-maker who can put that cape on and change the game. The Bills are 10-3 and this was supposed to be a rebuilding year after losing Poyer, Stephon Diggs, and Gabe Davis along with injuries to stars like Matt Milano. Looks to me like McD is one hell of an HC who can get a bunch of JAGS on defense to play outta their minds at times.

Some of you can't see the forest for the trees... An SB-winning QB got a hot hand throwing to two of the very best receivers in the game and ripped the Buffalo Bills defense a new one all game long. The receivers are wide open, no pressure on said QB with only 3 QB hits by Bill's defense all game. This Rams offense is directed by one of the finest young offensive minds in today's game in Rams HC Sean McVay. Matt Stafford is a HoF QB! This game was ALL about the Buffalo Bills defensive players falling on their faces for some unknown reason. This was against a middling 6-6 Rams team with both their offensive and defensive rankings in the 20s. Was it in the cross-country travel from the East Coast to the West? Well, then why didn't the offense fall apart too? The one thing about this season's defense that has been helping them look so good is the turnover ratio which is currently tied with the Steelers at +17. Yet, against the Rams no turnovers...on either side. My takeaway from watching Joe Marino and his all-22 is that the Buffalo defensive line is the biggest problem. IMHO we Bills fans should understand that McD is a miracle worker given the lack of talent on that Buffalo defense. Perhaps McD would have done a better job over the first-year DC play-caller, I don't know. Where is that special player who can put on a cape-like QB Josh Allen and take over a game? You know, like Bruce Smith and Cornelius Bennett used to do. Von Miller was supposed to be that guy and injuries derailed that. Injuries to the defense have screwed this team for years. Buffalo needs a Chris Jones and not a new HC.

Since we are pulling out arbitrary names how about "the Chin"? First off, you don't want Gruden who won an SB back in 2002 in his first year with Tampa Bay, and the biggest reason for that win was because that team fielded the #1 defense overall built by Tony Dungy whom he replaced. The next 6 seasons under Gruden they didn't do much with one season at 11-5 and the rest barely winning, 7-9, 5-11, 11-5, 4 12,9-7, 9-7. Before he left TB to return to Oakland where he went 3-12, 7-9, 8-8, 3-2 and he resigned after week 5. Gruden likes to think he is the smartest guy on the planet and would have his QBs completely learn 2-foot playbooks so he could call some obscure play at some random time that wouldn't work anyway. On the other hand, Bill Cowher did very well year after year with utter scrubs at QB until Big Ben. Can you imagine AFC Champs with Neil O'Donnell, Mike Tomczak, and Kordell Stewart? 13-3 with Kordell Stewart and Tommy Maddox? Guys, as much as you yearn for change...McD isn't going anywhere. Not with a career 654% win percentage. Belichick has a 647% win percentage while Andy Reid has a 650%. Marv Levy has a 561% win percentage.

The ONLY NFL owner moronic enough to hire Bill Belichick as HC would be the owner of the NY Jets, Woody Johnson. I would dearly love to see this happen as it will mean another few years for the Jests to stay at the bottom of the division a few more seasons. The Jags, NY Giants, Raiders, Bears, Saints, and even the Cowboys deserve better.

Ole Bill is haunted by the fact that Don Shula has more NFL wins with 328 and he has 302 and that's why he wants back as an NFL HC in the worst way. George Halas is also ahead of him at 318. The funny thing is Andy Reid is at 270. No NFL owner will hire the man after he went to the Patriots owner Robert Kraft and told him that Tom Brady was washed up. Brady then goes on to win a Super Bowl with his next team and this along with so many other screwups with the team got him fired by a man who loved him.

I have a theory if you will...indulge my conjecture, speculation, hypothesis, supposition. I surmise that Rams HC Sean McVay is a genius. The man hired a fleet of beautiful seductive call girls and bribed the Buffalo Bills security staff at their hotel to look the other way or even perhaps indulge themselves in all the free goodies. What do they say, while the cats are away? The only way this makes any kind of sense to me is that the Buffalo defensive player's legs were gone!!!!!!! They couldn't keep up with the Rams receivers. They had no turnovers, no interceptions, and no sacks on a 38-year-old QB with a middling to bad offensive line ranked in the 20's. The Rams offense usually can't stay on the field on 3rd down and yet owned that vaunted Buffalo defense noted for pressure on the QB and a turnover in every game. Time of possession for this game, Rams 38:30 to Buffalo 20:30. This is with a 20th-ranked Rams offense and 24th-ranked Rams defense. I realize that these are grown-ass men and do need to indulge at times. Still, there should have been a serious curfew before the game.

Unlike the Rams who had the 20th or so offense, and defense. The Detroit Lions have the #1 offense in points scored, and #2 in yards. Their defense is #2 in points allowed, and #10 in yards allowed. The difference is the Lions aren't playing to stay alive and pulled everything out of their bag of tricks to win that game. However, the Rams just showed the world how to destroy that Buffalo defense. All we Bills fans can do is hope that the Bills find a Buffalo pass rush for this game. Because they didn't have one at all for the Rams.

Buffalo is currently 10-3 with a 4-game lead in the division and also with the division for the 5th straight season. McD is one of the winningest NFL head coaches ever! McD even went to the playoffs with Tyrod Taylor at QB! The only NFL HC with more wins over the last 6 seasons is Andy Reid and the KC Chiefs...who Buffalo beat this season as their only loss for the year. A 2 point loss in a 44-42 game and some fans are already talking about replacing the best HC this franchise has seen since the 1990s. Get a grip on reality willyas as this owner isn't going to fire McD no matter what happens over the next four games. Here is hoping that this team makes the SB this year so I can stop wasting my time reading this junk.

It's like the guy is doing training camp and preseason FB all at once...give him time to catch up. What's more concerning is no pass rush on Stafford, no sacks, no INTs and nobody stepped up on defense. The Rams have the 20th ranked O line and this Bills defense was manhandled...sad!

The man made some really, really, really stupid decisions his last few years as HC/GM of the Patriots, and there was a solid reason Robert Kraft fired him. Kraft loved the guy, so it probably tore him up to need to fire him. After all, he went to Kraft and told him Brady was done as an NFL quarterback, who then went on to win a Super Bowl with the Bucs. How moronic! The very last thing I would want is that old fart telling Terry Pegula that Josh Allen is done at some point. He doesn't know what he is doing with an offense!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He hired a DC to be his OC, who went on to ruin a young quarterback who had made the Playoffs with the Patriots. Hard pass and there is a real reason EVERY NFL team has already passed too.

It would still be particularly crazy. 💩 Ole Bill rode the coattails of Tom Brady for nearly all those SBs. Then he told the Patriots owner Tom Brady was done as an NFL QB...who went on to with another SB with the Buccaneers. Belichick hired his old former DC and made him his OC...who went on to ruin QB Mac Jones. Why does anyone think the Patriots fired him? Also, let's not forget that Bill was the GM in making all the personnel decisions in the last decade. Last I looked at that 3-10 Patriots team and it is devoid of solid talent in nearly every area. Anyone who wants Belichick as an NFL HC NOW...is a few cans short.

To all the whiners out there...let's not forget that Matthew Stafford IS an SB-winning QB who IS a future HoFer! A guy who spent most of his career in obscurity while playing for a crappy Detroit team. If the Buffalo Bills are lacking in anything it's that defensive player that can put on the cape like Josh does for the offense. Von Miller was supposed to be that guy... and others should have stepped up...but didn't. That bend but don't break defense...broke!

This 6-6 Rams team is around 20th on offense and 22nd on defense...so, how are they beating this 10-2Buffalo team this badly? The Rams did manage to beat the Vikings 30-20. but this 38 points against Buffalo is the most they have scored this season.

both!~ it would be the first time in forever that the Bills had a fully healthy roster at this time of the season. Also, the home field would be brilliant with a week off to rest and the Bills fans going crazy at game time. Tis the season !!!! Go Bills!

This is the best HC and GM ever in Buffalo, and it's only a matter of time before we see an NFL Championship Lombardi trophy in Buffalo! PS Take a long hard look at the 49ers this season to see what injuries can do to a Super Bowl team as last season they were in the big dance.
