  1. That's exactly what I hope to see all game, the Bills crowding the line.
  2. This is a game against a hated division rival...20 years of domination by New England over the Buffalo Bills. This is a DIVISION game and anything can happen as teams play extra tough on both sides. The Patriots could field a team of newborns or octogenarians in wheelchairs and still win. Like Bum Phillips used to say, he could take yours and beat mine and take his and beat yours. This is STILL the Patriots with head coach Bill Belichick still coaching it. Never underestimate this man until the fat lady sings. OTOH, NE could be in the Trevor Lawrence sweepstakes and want to lose, but I doubt it.
  3. All very true... The Bills should dominate this years Patriots team and pound them into sand! Except, this is a DIVISION game and anything can happen in one of those. The Raiders went into KC and beat the best team in the league in the SB champions from last season. The Chargers also went into KC and gave them everything they could handle winning 23-20. This, with a rookie QB starting in his very first game and looking like anything but a rookie. 22 of 33 for 311 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT. That game was tied at the end and the Chiefs needed OT to win. The Bills need to take this 2-4 Patriots team seriously and not look past them to the 5-1 Seahawks next week. The Buffalo Bills need this game like a dying man in the desert needs water. The Bills schedule is brutal with Seattle, Arizona, BYE, Chargers, 49ers, Steelers in a very tough 5 game upcoming stretch. Not only that, this game is redemption for two decades of domination by the New England Patriots over the Buffalo Bills. The Bills really, really need to turn that page. GO BILLS!
  4. The thing is, they didn't shut down Mahomes. They simply limited his deeper throws to Tyreek Hill by playing safeties /corners deep. So, when KC saw how deep the Bills were dropping they ran and threw underneath. Mahomes went 21-26 for 225 yards, 2 TDs. This was the wrong tactic for the Bills to utilize against the Chiefs and what really bothers me is they kept it up all game long. I hope the Bills don't try the same type of tactic against the Patriots in staying with one scheme. Whatever defensive tactic the Bills employ this week I hope they are smart enough to change it up if it isn't working. On an another note, the Bills have yet to actually commit to running the ball more than once or twice a series as they have neglected it for an entire half last game. RB's much like QB's need to get into a rhythm and the more they run usually the better the ground game works. It also wears down the opposing defense the more they run. Bills OC Brian Daboll prides himself on utilizing that Patriots passing play book. A darn shame he doesn't utilize their run schemes much in comparison. Another thing, now that the Bills have #76 Big Jon back that Bills run game should very much improve. Run the ball a lot with Moss, Singletary and good things should happen on Sunday.
  5. The first four games of the 2020 season the Bills offense was #4 overall because of Allen's passing. The Bills defense was 27th or so and that was against the pass. Currently the defense picked it up and are 15th overall and 21st against the run. The Bills offense is 20th in points, 13th in yards, 6th in passing yards, 5th in passing TDs. New England defense is 12th in points allowed, 17th in yards allowed, #1 in pass attempts against them. 10th against the pass. 12 in pass TDs. The Patriot offense is 29th in scoring points, 24th in yards, #3 in rushing attempts, #4 in rushing yards, #5 in rushing TDs. The Buffalo Bills should crush this one dimensional Patriots team simply by stacking the box and daring Cam Newton to throw. Who has looked out of sorts the last games. Run blitz and knock the NW receivers / backs off their routes at the LoS. Spy Newton and it should be game over fast. That stat of the Patriots receivers getting only 13% separation is so telling. No Edelman and that story of Gilmore "tweeking" his knee might be an excuse when Diggs jukes him out of his cleats on Sunday. I don't care what anyone else says, this is a "must win" game for Buffalo as they face the Seahawks, Cardinals next and after the BYE, Chargers, 49ers, Steelers, Broncos, Patriots, Dolphins. If the Bills want to keep a lead in the division against Miami and take the division they need this win. If McD ever wants to beat Bill Belichick, now is the time. A sweep would be even better.
  6. The Patriots do match up well against Buffalo...on paper. All it's going to take to open up the Buffalo pass game is to hit some big throws and get a lead. Then the Patriots plan to pound the rock goes out the window like it did against the 49ers. The Patriots lost to Denver too. Buffalo does need to stop that Patriots run game and short pass game which is like an elongated handoff. Tom Brady was excellent at running that form of WCO in just moving the chains play after play till they hit the red zone. Buffalo can also do that and perhaps even better because they have Beasley, Diggs, Brown, Davis. One stat that stands out is that the Patriots receivers have a 13% percentage of getting separation which is the very worst in the NFL. Again, all I see is NE running and throwing shorts, dump offs to the backs. They literally have nothing else. Cam Newton was horrid throwing against the 49ers, a 39.7 rating. He still might be suffering from the after effects of Covid -19. If the Bills coaches get it right it should be a win and McD's first against this hated rival.
  7. I dream of this! Hope Josh McDaniel's gets the job. We see what he has done in NE without Brady... he will be lucky to get HCing offers now. The Patriots are the bottom of the division right with the Jets
  8. I read an article from ESPN that noted that some "elite" athletes who contact Covid-19 are sometimes no longer the elite players they once were afterwards. I wonder if this happened to Cam Newton and possibly Gilmore. We will see. In any event, I think Diggs is so good that he can get the better of Gilmore! John Brown will be back, Gabe Davis and Ole Bill will probably try to focus on Cole Beasely and attempt to take him away. If the Bills can get their offense back from the first four weeks they might be able to put that wooden stake right where it belongs.
  9. Most likely true. Although, it is incredibly difficult to go 0-16 nowadays. The ball bounces their way one game and they could win it. The Jets face the 6-1 Chiefs, 2-4 Patriots, 2-4 Chargers, 3-3 Dolphins, 3-3 Raiders, 5-1 Seahawks, 5-2 Rams, 5-2 Browns, 2-4 Patriots. All it would take is for Ole Bill to lose to the Jets 2x and they are equal. The Texans, the Jags, the Giants, the Falcons, the Vikings are all one win teams atm. Gonna be interesting to see what happens on Sunday.
  10. For McD to ever have any relevance in this division he must beat Belicheat and a sweep would be even better. And if there were ever a time to beat the Patriots, it would be now. My take is... I think it can happen because it looks like ole Bill wants in on the Trevor Lawrence sweepstakes. I think he realizes he needs a top QB like he got so lucky with in Tom Brady. So, a top ten pick is in order.
  11. They have to actually call a run play before the first half ends... Like this last game they finally got Cole Beasley involved before the second half...which they didn't do the previous two games. Cole the Jets game, 12 targets, 11 catches for 112 yards. I realize that part of this is on Josh as he doesn't like going to the check down. But ya know if that's what the defense is giving you, you take it all day long.
  12. I gotta wonder if the Patriots are trying to get into the Trevor Lawrence sweepstakes. NE is 2-4 and only the Jets, Jags, Bengals, Falcons are worse. It wouldn't surprise me at all considering how lucky they were to find Brady in the first place. Belicheat now realizes he might need a top 10 pick to land a decent QB.
  13. Perhaps Beane could do a Polian Halloween 3 way trade deal for him. I was hearing Bengals players want out, Gino Atkins, Carlos Dunlap.
  14. Howabout them Cowboys!! Dalton clobbered and out Ben Di Nucci their new starter...
  15. He will, they are waiting till the end of the season i'd think. With Trevor Lawrence I'd think they would want a better offensive mind
  16. Jerry Hughes too
  17. Someone reminded him at the half that if he kept playing good they wouldn't trade him...
  18. Josh Allen leading rusher 11 carries for 61 yards, several first downs
  19. Dude, they just played the very worst offense in the league. Darnold was a step down from Flacco 12 of 24 for 120 yrds, 2 INTs a 29.9 rating
  20. Thank the lord this one is over, seems like neither team wanted this one till the Bills defense showed up. all FGs...
