  1. The Jets appear to be locked in on Zach Wilson at this point. Yet, what did they expect from Sam Darnold when they failed to protect him, failed to get him quality receivers, failed to get him a decent run game. It really doesn't matter who the Jets draft because if they repeat the same mistakes with Darnold... whomever they draft the result will be the same in two years.
  2. The Patriots have the #15th pick in this draft and the top five QB's won't last that long. 1st QB)Jags, Lawrence 2nd QB)Jets, Wilson 3rd QB)49ers, Lance/Fields 4th QB)Falcons are looking at QB's with the #4 pick. Justin Fields 5th QB)Panthers are looking at a QB with the #8 pick. Mac Jones Even Denver with the #9 is looking at new QB over Drew Locke. It is a good bet that with so many QB hungry teams that all those top five QBs won't even last till the #9 pick. My take is that the 13-3 Buffalo Bills with QB Josh Allen has ignited a QB frenzy in the draft this year. Some view Trey Lance as another Josh Allen who needs some development but has great potential. This might be the reason as to why the 49ers moved up to draft a QB. But at the same time are retaining Jimmy G for this season. The Patriots could still pick a QB at #15 in Trask or Mond.
  3. The NY Jets won't stay at #2 and NOT take a QB! Then again, it is the Jets and they have proven time after time to do the wrong thing. Like like trading up to take Same Darnold in the first place and missing on Josh Allen! 😆 Otherwise they trade back like the Dolphins did... with Tua as it appears they are staying with him at QB. This move says the Phins are no longer interested in trading for Watson too. Consensus is that the Jets take Zach Wilson @#2 and trade Darnold. Next thought is, who exactly do the 49ers want at #3 to trade away the farm to get him? Trey Lance, North Dakota St Justin Fields, Ohio St Mac Jones, Alabama Rumor has it... that "if" the 49ers pass on Lance and take Justin Fields that the Patriots will make a move to trade up to the #4 spot for Trey Lance.
  4. I get the optimism for the Buffalo Bills in 2021. Josh Allen took an huge leap in being in the running for MVP conversation. The Bills had for the first time in franchise history the leagues leading receiver. The 2020 Buffalo Bills were 13-3 and if not for a miracle Hail-Mary play by the Arizona Cardinals with 11 seconds left, the Bills go 14-2. The #2 overall offense in the NFL in 2020. There were only four other NFL teams with a better point differential @126, Ravens 165, Packers 140, Saints 145, Bucs 137. Yes, Buffalo has the better QB in the division for 100% certainty! Even the backup in Trubisky looks to be better than Newton, Tua or Darnold. That is "IF" all those QB's remain the starters. The NY Jets with the #2 overall pick could get Justin Fields or Zach Wilson. The Dolphins, if not entirely sold on Tua have the 3rd overall pick have choices of who is still on the board at QB. Zach Wilson-Justin Fields-Trey Lance-Mac Jones. The Patriots will also be able to pick up one of those QB's mentioned, especially if they trade up for one. What Bills fans fail to realize is that last year no NFL team had a productive preseason or training camp to be able to get new players up to speed. Dolphins QB Tua was a rookie... who had no training camp, no preseason and was thrown into the fire midway thru the season. Still. he went 6-3 with the 10-6 Dolphins. The Phins also fielded a top 10 defense. The Dolphins have two first rounders, two second rounders and one third in this years draft. Face reality, they should be improved. The NY Jets finally fired "crazy eyes" Gase and hired ex 49er DC Robert Saleh who should be an improvement. He also brought with him OC Mike LaFleur. The Jets also have four picks in the first three rounds and two firsts. They improved in free agency. Carl Lawson, Cory Davis. They should be better than 2-14 even with a rookie QB. Yes, Cam Newton looked horrid for the Patriots in 2020. Still, as bad as he was, if not for a last min fumble by Newton perhaps the Bills lose that game. This year he will get a full offseason with the team, training camp, preseason. I kinda doubt he will remain the starting QB all season as the Patriots could add a QB in the draft. Mac Jones? In 2019 the Patriots fielded the #1 defense in the league and in 2020, 8 players opted to sit out the season. NE finished 7-9 and fielded the #7 defense in points allowed. No question in my view that they will field a formidable defense in 2021. They get Hightower back this season and signed Ravens LB Matt Judon. Let's not forget, that as much as we hate Bill Belichick, he is a master at setting up a defense and figuring out how to beat/shut down an offense. 2021 Not gonna be a cakewalk like so many think it might be. The AFC East should be a much improved division. The Buffalo Bills still need to figure out how to beat the Kansas City Chiefs! Who they play in 2021, along with the Bucs!
  5. The 2020 Buffalo Bills didn't win the SB and to read some of the stuff posted... most fans think they did! The Bills were OWNED by the Chiefs! Not once, but twice. The vaunted Bills passing game fell on its face at times. No run game. The defense gave up too many big plays. What a lot of Bills fans don't get is that last season with Covid no preseason games and no time for defenses to get up to speed. So the offenses (Buffalo) took off in scoring at the start. Plus, the league wanted exciting high scoring games, hence the non holding calls on offensive line players. The AFC East was a very weak division last year in 2020 and its why the Bills swept them. Even then, it took a fumble by Newton to lose the last Pats game for them. The Patriots will be an improved team and the might just draft a QB to groom behind Newton. Lets not forget that the 2019 Pats were the #1 defense in the league! * players opted out last year and they are returning for 2021. The Jets will be better without crazy eyes as HC and so many draft picks. The Dolphins should be better with so many draft picks. Winning the AFC East should be much more difficult in 2021. It's gonna be interesting to see if the Bills offensive line will be good enough this season...or if they can get that run game working.
  6. Good stuff, thanks for posting. QuarterbackWonderlic ScoreCollege Josh Allen 37 Wyoming Josh Rosen 29 UCLA Sam Darnold 28 USC Baker Mayfield 25 Oklahoma Lamar Jackson 13 Louisville Tony Romo, Andrew Luck also had a 37 score. Brady had a 33. Peyton Manning had a 28. Aaron Rodgers had a 35. Cam Newton 21. Vince Young 6. https://wonderlictestpractice.com/josh-allen-wonderlic-score/#:~:text=The NFL Scouting Combine is,a 37 on the test.
  7. The Glass decoy is in Buffalo? Perhaps he wants to go over the falls...so people will talk about him like he is relevant...
  8. Imagine, If Beane got a 3rd rounder for Tyrod...
  9. Last season Cam Newton was a late signing and he had little opportunity to work with the team in getting ready for the season. Also, Covid took him out for a few games. He had a crap receiver corps with little talent. Plus, he was coming off and injury that saw his former team give up on him. Lots of reasons why Newton looked so bad last season...Its really not him that's the biggest concern as the Patriots are gearing up to go "old school" on the NFL. Meaning, they will work that run game till opposing teams are exhausted from chasing Cam and the Pats RB's all over the field. BTW, "old school run game" has worked recently with the Vikings, 49ers, Titans, Ravens and others. My biggest concern was that the Patriots fielded the #1 defense in 2019, #2 in pass yards allowed, #6 in rush yards allowed. That was with eight Pats players opted to sit out the 2020 season. Now, not only will those returning players like pro bowl LBer Dont'a Hightower be back...looking at free agency they boosted their defense and pass rush with ex Ravens LB Matt Judon. The Patriots should be a huge concern in 2021 and could probably beat Buffalo with Belichick at QB. Buffalo had better fix their run defense and run game. #17th in rush yards allowed isn't good enough...nor is #20th in rushing. This season all teams should have a better off season to prepare for the regular season and there shouldn't be defenses not up to speed at the start of the season like in 2020. The Patriots will be a better team. The Jets with all those draft picks, a defensive minded HC who built a strong defense in SF will be a better team. The Dolphins with all those draft picks should improve. The AFC East should be the leagues best division in 2021. JMO
  10. Word is the two teams GMs had a deal done to trade Wilson to Chicago and Hawks HC Pete Carroll nixed it. Saying I'm too old to rebuild at this point.

  12. This! A good TE can be a QB's best friend and although Wentz and that eggels offense was a hot mess...Philly TE Dallas Goedert looked like Ertz of old and he had a 70% catch percentage with that same hot mess of an offense. Lets trade for Goedert! Ertz, 11 games, 11 game starts. 72 targets, 36 rec for 335 yards, 1 TD a 50% catch percentage. *Although, Ertz was dealing with a high ankle sprain in 2020 and it does remain to be seen if he can regain his old form. Apparently, the Eagles don't think so.
  13. Ertz might have been good in his prime... last season he had a 56.7% catch percentage! I highly doubt Beane will trade anything for this player. OTOH, Eggils TE Dallas Goedert had a 70.8% catch percentage.
  14. John Brown 9 games, 8 game starts, 52 targets, 33 rec for 458 yards, 3 TDs. a 63.5% catch percentage. Brown was 14th on the Bills in catch percentage. FYI, Gabe Davis was next at 56.5%. Dawson Knox next at 54.5%... and last was TJ Yeldon @ 4 targets, 1 catch 25%. Diggs, Beasley were 75.6%, 76.6% respectively. Emmanuel Sanders, 14 games, 5 game starts, 82 targets, 61 rec for 726 yards, 5 TDs. a 74.45% catch percentage! #2 on the Saints in catch percentage only Alvin Kamara ahead with 77.6. Just sayin, Knox n Davis had better get working with that Jugs!
  15. As good as this move is...it still doesn't beat a 3rd rounder for Tyrod!!!!! 🤑
  16. Some Bills fans need a change of underwear....🙊
  17. The Jets and Fins have the ammo to make a trade for Watson, the Patriots don't. Would the Texans be stupid enough to take Cam Newton in a trade? Meanwhile, the Dolphins have Tua and the Jets have Darnold plus those early firsts. Not to mention that I think Watson has had more than enough from the NE school of coaching/GM to never want to be in that position again. Think something else...and that won't be good enough.
  18. As Brandon Beane put it, running the ball is complex, in that it requires everyone to do their job. If one aspect fails, the run fails. More than anything, the offense needs to work on running the ball in practice over and over until they perfect it. Then, Daboll needs to work his magic in the run game like he does with the passing game. Daboll has been brilliant in the game planning and play calls for the pass game. I think he has been learning and developing as an OC in his time in Buffalo. I have faith he will get the Bills run game working as well as he has the pass game. Hopefully, without the QB doing a lot of the running.
  19. I can't! A TE perhaps or a center to groom for replacing Morse. The thing with John Brown is, as much as I like the guy. We all saw he couldn't get any separation in the Chiefs games or in that Ravens game this year and last year. That first Chiefs game in 2020, 4 targets 0 catches. Brown had the same targets and receptions as Diggs in the 2020 Ravens playoff game. The difference was Diggs 11 targets, 8 receptions for 106 yards, 1 TD. Brown 11 targets, 8 receptions for 62 yards.
  20. I agree, I like him too. I think he should be back, if for mostly as a backup guard/center...considering that Morse has had so many concussions. Morse worries me because that next concussion might be his last playing in the NFL.
  21. Some guys play and put up big stats and yet don't win in big games...it isn't in their DNA to have that determination to win a game no matter what. Dak doesn't look like he has that IMO. With that offense he has been in with Zek, Cooper, Beasley and one of the very best offensive lines in the league. Prescott, Elliott, Cooper all-pros. 2014 13-3 and lost in the divisional round. 2018 10-6 beat the Seahawks in a WC round and lost to the Rams in divisional round. One playoff win in five years and the Cowboys used to have a top defense too. He isn't worth Mahomes money. I'd trade him for Wilson or better yet trade Dak away and move up in the draft for a QB.
  22. What bothers me a bit is word on the street was that this past season that officials were told by the league to keep things working fast. Meaning very few holding calls to keep offenses on the field. If true, and they resort to past tendencies of calling those holds... it makes me wonder just how good that Buffalo offensive line is going to be going forward? Buffalo graded as PFF's 10th best unit and Williams graded 79.4. When reflecting back at a lot of games it looked like Allen had tons of times in the pocket almost every game. Save the Chiefs games. Should Buffalo ever want to get past the Chiefs they will need to do better than they did in last years two games by giving Allen a cleaner pocket, more time to throw. A Better O line! It also wouldn't hurt to have a TE like Gronk, that even when he is being held he can muscle free to catch the ball. Plus, it would help to have officials that will call the holds / jams past 5 yards by the Chiefs DBs.
  23. I'm actually very happy Buffalo didn't pay what Arizona gave Watt. So, it will allow Buffalo more choices when the expensive players start dropping like flies after being cut. Also, since he stated he is much happier in the warmer weather...
  24. It's amazing to me how someone who is so condescending can be so ignorant at the same time. I never lied about anything and you make stuff up as you go along... adding things I never said. I never once stated that Josh Allen was starting in 2018 even though you keep reiterating that point. The simple fact is that Peterman failed due to the offensive scheme that Brain Daboll put him in...and when the run game failed as it has at times the past few seasons under Daboll. The entire offense to win the game goes on the QB shoulders...as it has so many times. Daboll had no answer for that Ravens pass rush in 2018, and again in 2019, and he probably had no answer in 2020, save that they decided not to blitz for some reason. Daboll had no answer for the Chiefs and their defense/pass rush either, even though they faced them for the second time in 2020. I'm done here, as I'm no longer going to waste my time attempting to get through...
  25. First off, calm down... Most people would think that an NFL offensive coordinator would be able to distinguish that a young, inexperienced QB would be good enough to start a game in the NFL. Apparently not in this case! The Bills decided to go with Peterman when they had QB AJ McCarron who they outright cut before the season started after giving him a 2 year, 10 mill contact. McCarron started and finished the 3rd preseason game against the Bears with a comeback win and 3 TD passes. Someone must have gone to the HC and stated that Peterman was the better QB and should start the season for Buffalo. McD doesn't make the offensive decisions by himself. Anyway, there are real reasons as to why Brian Daboll has fielded such horrible passing offenses as an NFL OC previous to the 2020 season. Just like there is a reason that Nathan Peterman failed so miserably in his first NFL start. Not just bad... as in having a bad day! There was no way that Peterman should have even been on that field that day! Nearly three full quarters of football, 5 of 18 for 24 yards, 2 INTs, 3 sacks with a rating of 0.0! If you look back in this thread, I stated that Daboll calls plays like he has an experienced veteran QB under center and he has been doing this since day one. It didn't matter if the QB at hand was capable of running "his" scheme. He was going to run it the way he wanted, regardless. Look at that 2018 first game against the Baltimore Ravens, its like nobody watched film on this team and what they do on defense. A team noted to have a ferocious defense in which they blitz nearly 50% of their defensive snaps. So, starting an inexperienced QB against that defense most OC's would first work the run game and then call a lot of short passes, dump offs and screens to give that young QB some confidence going forward. It started out that way, except the run game didn't work at all as McCoy was stuffed in his first few run attempts. So, what did this OC do? He put the QB under the gun by forcing him to make pass plays behind a very poor offensive line, with a rather poor receiving corps. On a 3rd and 7 instead of just trying to move the chains the OC calls for a deep pass, Incomplete. Bills QBs were sacked 6x in that game and under constant duress from blitzes. Under Daboll, the run game fails so it all falls on the QB to make things work...and that played right into the teeth of that Ravens defense. (* The Buffalo Bills played the Baltimore Ravens again in 2019 and it was as if they had never seen this team before. Six sacks on Josh Allen and he was under constant pressure all game long. 12 QB hits. Again that year, the Bills had no answer for the constant blitzing by that Ravens defense.) Bottom line here, is that Daboll was oft times calling for deep passes that Peterman simply couldn't make and some throws were intercepted. He didn't have enough arm to make those throws. Why call them if he can't make them? The Bills offense was a cluster of eff ups with plays that didn't work both run/pass, lack of protection from the line, and when things actually started to go right... penalties (10 for 100 yards). The buck stops with the offensive coordinator when the team can't run the ball, can't throw the ball and the line can't stop being penalized for stupid mistakes.
