  1. Jake Long is an Atlanta Falcon as of yesterday.
  2. Henderson was unbelievably bad against the Raiders last year when the Bills vying for a playoff berth. But then the rest of the team wasn't that much better. So many times I watched CJ Spiller get tackled behind the line of scrimmage, and when that happens its all on the line. Urbik was particularly bad in run blocking that game. Arron Kromer was supposed to fix these issues, and just maybe you can't make a silk purse...
  3. good, let him fumble there
  4. Yea I agree, and for the life of me I can figure out why the team just abruptly started throwing more then passing during that Chargers game. Then continued with that pass happy theme for the rest of the year.
  5. My point was there are no gimmes in the NFL, and nothing is a given even against scrub QB's like Bortles or a bad team like the Jags. Case in Point, last year the 2-12 Raiders beat the 8-7 Bills who were vying for a playoff berth. That Bills defense ranked #4 stopped the leagues best QB in Aaron Rodgers, shut down Peyton Manning, and then choked against a rookie QB in Derek Carr. Last year the Bills had the #4 defense in the NFL, and led the NFL in sacks. They were an outright terror to most teams, and yet still got behind in may games. My point being is the Bills can get behind against any team, and then will need to change the offensive philosophy from running to passing. We really don't know what will happen once the Bills get a score or two behind. Lets also not forget that things will change once teams are able to game plan more specifically against a running QB in Taylor. Kaepernick stunk it up last year, and this weekend Russell Wilson was sacked 6 times by the lowly Rams who finished 6-10 last year. Just sayin on any given Sunday... Andrew Luck faced Rex Ryan's Jets in 2012 as a rookie and was crushed 35 to 9 by a 6-10 Jets team. Looks like Ryan just might have Lucks number with all the disguised coverage's he utilizes. The Patriots, Dolphins, have faced Rex Ryan's defensive schemes the last 6 years and recently defeated them. Things might go differently this week with Tom Brady who is used to seeing that type of scheme 2x a year, who knows. Granted, a new year with different players so nothing is set in stone just yet because there are still to many unknowns.
  6. The Patriots with three rookies on their offensive line facing arguably the best front four in the league against Buffalo. The Pats had one of the best secondary's last year with Revis Island, and he is now a NY Jet! The Dolphins have a boy named Suh! Things will be different this year! "29 post season games since the last time the Bills made the playoffs." Man 0 man I hope its Buffalo who ends Brady's career this week with a nice hard clean hit! Then lets see how they do the rest of the season with Jimmy Growpoopalo slinging the ball.
  7. SB Nation has the Bills #6 http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/2015/9/15/9326537/nfl-power-rankings-week-2-seahawks-packers-patriots
  8. I don't like to break up anyone's rainbows here, but there are no easy games this year for this team. Tennessee looked like a gimme before the season started and now Marcus Mariota looks like the best QB in the draft this year, and perhaps the best since Andrew Luck. Blake Bortles might be playing lights out by the time the Bills play the Jags. This first game the Bills played with a lead, and the defense kept the Colts in check all day after that. Playing from behind is an entirely different animal, and will certainly show every little flaw in the offense. Needing to throw every down is considerably different from running almost every down and then looking for a specific opportunity when to pass the ball. This years team doesn't have a powerhouse offense just yet, and although the Bills have a lot of weapons the team still lacks the knowledge that they have that supreme pocket passer that can make playing from behind work. The Bills O line looked very shaky with so many penalties, and lack of top run blocking on that right side. Things can change after a few games with some key player growth. Still so many unknowns about this years team on both sides of the ball. The Bills need to make the playoffs before I'll believe.
  9. I like Berman (how can any Bills fan not like him), and Trent Dilfer. Anyone else notice some the holes those road graders for the 49ers were making in the first half? I could drive a 18 wheeler thru some of them. Roll Hyde too!
  10. Most Bills fans are by now genitally engineered to be skeptical about every win, and be overly cautious about every good game or season start. Recently the Bills started the 2008 season 5-1, and the 2011 season 4-1 only to see bad things happen to ruin a good start. 55 years, and 21 winning seasons equates to 34 losing seasons.
  11. A darn shame some of the younger Bills fans never made it to Rich Stadium during the late 80's, early 90's when the stadium actually had more seats, and held more fans. The noise level was crazy back then for the playoff games. I particularly liked the Raiders 51-3 AFC Championship, and the comeback games. I'm really hoping the Bills get to have another Championship home game soon so the current fans can feel the real craziness that surrounds a game like that.
  12. While I agree that not having quality OG's the last few years is a big reason for all the losing seasons. Most fans agree that he wasn't worth what Tenn gave him, and yet the team failed to have a decent backup plan after they let him walk away. Bad teams do bad drafting and bad scouting. Just ask a Cleveland Browns fan. I could be mistaken but i remember reading that Buddy Nix would spout about OG's are a dime a dozen, and that you can always slide an OT to OG if needed. That sure didn't work by moving a tolerable RT in Pears to RG, as it looked like a complete disaster with the right side of the line all last year. I'm just glad that Nix and his ideas about the offensive line are long gone. Just the difference that LG Richie Incognito has made on the left side has been very noticeable, and might finally be a decent replacement for Levitre. Now if those two young players on the right side can develop into decent starters the team might finally have a proper line. Hopefully the Bills have moved on from the stupid scouting, drafting they did for so long.
  13. I can recall a guy by the name of Bruce Smith getting a lot of off sides calls, and not many personal fouls tho. Perhaps Rex needs to talk to both the players and the league FO about the BS calls. The holding calls gotta stop as they are usually drive killers.
  14. You're very welcome. Had to share that picture with other Bills fans
  15. Let...it...go...
  16. That crafty bastage Rex Ryan had all pre season to game plan against Andrew Luck, and it showed so brilliantly in the disguised looks the Bills gave the Colts all game. The Rush didn't always get to Luck but the pressure sure did, as a normally very smart QB suddenly didn't look so smart. Bottom line is one game really doesn't mean that much over an overall 16 game season. Anyone else remember last years game between the Patriots and Chiefs at Arrowhead? The Chiefs sacked Brady 3x, and forced him to throw 2x INT's while causing 3 turnovers. The end result was a final score Chiefs 41 & Pats 14 with the Chiefs rushing for 207 yards, and QB Alex Smith throwing for 248 yards with 3 TD's, no INT's. That game had Patriots fans everywhere literally crying in their beers, blubbering that the dynasty was over after a 2-2 start! Then the Pats went on a tear losing only 2x out of the next 15 while winning the SB.
  17. I agree! I agree. 1. Rex, please sit the entire team down, and let them know that stupid penalties won't be tolerated. Penalties 11 for 113 yards! Hughes- 3 for 23 yards. offsides, personal foul, one other Glenn- 2 for holding Brooks-1 personal foul Clay-1 Mulligan-1 holding Wood-1 holding Schmidt-1 In regards to the O line, it was bad on the right side, and much improved at LG. McCoy 17 rushes for 41 yards= 2.4 yards per carry average. While Shady had 3 catches for 43 yards. His rushes was a very disappointing performance for me considering all the hype about the improved offensive line. That line didn't exactly control the line of scrimmage, and Taylor was a big part of the 36 rushes for 137 yards. Which looks to be a complete reversal of last seasons pass happy offense. Lets hope the Bills improve as the season goes on.
  18. While any win is a good win I didn't like all the penalties, and the lack of a solid run game. Although 36 rushes for 147 yards looks like a complete turn around from last years pass happy offense. The run game wasn't entirely effective without using deceptive run plays draws or screens. Williams 6 for 55 1 TD McCoy 17 for 41 = 2.41 yard per carry avg Taylor 9 for 41 Harvin 1 for 9 Dixon 3 for 1 I was hoping to see the Bills line dominate today, and control the line of scrimmage. They simply weren't all that good in their run blocking scheme.
  19. Great game, and very fun to watch! The penalties for the Bills are a concern! 11 for 113 yards Andrew Luck went 26 of 49 for 240 yards passing along with only 17 rushes all game. (Luck looked a lot like EJ did against the Texans last year!) Meanwhile the Bills rushed 36 times for 147 yards. Buddy Ryan was at the game to watch his son Rex coach the Bills. Great stuff to see Buddy in Bills gear.
  20. Geez, wide open 28 yards
  21. Man Luck looking so bad today...GJ Rex!
  22. yikes, dodged a bad one there
  23. not another penalty...O...M...G!!!
  24. Good for the Bills, bad for fantasy
