Singletary & Moss both look much better on new teams
Nihilarian replied to Chicagobills's topic in The Stadium Wall
This is exactly why, 22 carries today for Singletary and 112 yards, 1 TD. The Bills rarely give an RB that many attempts in a game and when they did the RBs did well. -
Would have liked to see Leo pound these Jests
-
Wear those Jet defenders out..."pant" "pant"
-
Sweet
-
while the Jets' defense is good....#7 in points allowed, #6 in yards allowed. #3 against the pass Really kinda hoping the Bills would work that Buffalo run game today
-
Jeez, i really wanted to see this offense own the Jets Like that
-
Finally a pass to Shakir...27 yards
-
Refs probably want to penalize Josh for smiling at the Jet's defense
-
WHOA, under center
-
I love me some Kincade! Be nice to see Shakir get some too
-
Welp, at least the Defense is kicking some arse.
-
How Innovative...
-
Finally, some RB runs!!
-
Well, will Josh be the leading rusher today?
-
Same crap, nothing changed on offense
-
C'mon, work that run game...c'mon under center
-
wooo double shaq attack
-
The more things change ...the more they stay the same! WHY no under center for Allen? Why no run game? I'm starting to think that these pass-happy Ocs gotta go. The teeth of this Jets defense is their front line and secondary...why throw?

It usually takes a few years for a new regime to come in and build a top team and McD and Beane did just that. Drafting Josh Allen in the 2018 draft and hitting 13-3 in 2020 and 2022. The Buffalo Bills should have made it to the Super Bowl one of those two seasons and ran into the Kansas City Chiefs with home-field advantage. Buffalo had this same aspect back in the 90s and it was so prominent that the KC HC Marty Schottenheimer begged the NFL to have the AFC Championship game on a neutral field. In 1992 Buffalo did make the playoffs as a Wildcard and needed to go to Miami for the AFC Championship game. That was also the year of the OT WC win against the Oilers in OT. If you think about it the Buffalo Bills kept Dan Marino with the Miami Dolphins out of the SB, along with John Elway in those early 90's years. KC even had Joe Montana and he couldn't get them past Buffalo. Home field meant so much back then and it probably means the same now considering how difficult it is to beat the Cheifs at Arrowhead in the playoffs. The point here is it seemed that after four Super Bowl losses that fans were getting sick of seeing Buffalo even get to the SB. If fans want to jump the wagon, it's okay. Anyway, look back at the Denver Broncos and John Elway who went to three SBs in 86, 87, and 89 and lost all three. They were in the playoffs in 83-94 with Elway and didn't make it far. As great an arm as Elway had and as good an athlete he was... he didn't win an SB until Mike Shanahan built a power run game for Denver in 1997, 1998 with RB Terrell Davis. I think the current Buffalo Bills have the talent to get past KC and get to an SB. This new OC needs to keep Josh Allen under center and find a way to make that running game work...even as a WC.

If I'm the new Buffalo OC I look at past history and stats. Then attempt to get that Bills rush game going anyway, anyhow. Toss sweeps, end around, miss direction plays along with anything to wear that Jets front defense out. Limit the passing plays to high-percentage pass plays that help Josh's confidence going forward. With that Buffalo run game working it help keep the defense off the field and not gassed in the 4th quarter. Try to get Shakir in the slot to move the chains when needed like da Bease. Let Josh run if needed as it will kill those Jet's defenders. I really, really want to see Buffalo destroy this crappy Jets team.

McDermott weird comments about Josh Allen
Nihilarian replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
There were troubling events with the Buffalo offense under Dorsey. Such as Shakir, Cook, and other receivers not getting enough passes their way and Gabe Davis getting more than he should. Josh under the center showed marked improvement in the offensive performance and yet didn't use that often enough for some unknown reason. The run game with Cook disappearing at times. It is my take that firing Ken Dorsey was the best move McD has made aside from allowing Leslie Frazier to step aside. I also think that this HC allows his OC to have full autonomy with the offense and he is a "hands-off" Head Coach. This was apparent with Brian Daboll and Dorsey hung himself with his own ineptitude. I think the Buffalo Bills destroy that NY Jets defense this Sunday and Bills fans will see that this was the right move. -
I put a lot of the blame on Ken Dorsey and here is why. It was stated on MNF by the Mannings that they saw that INT coming before it happened and as others have stated that is a pass play that should be taken out of their playbook as it has happened a few times now. Bill Walsh used to make certain that with his pass plays the receiver was always between the defender and the ball. Not only that, he would review plays in which Montana would throw an INT and remove those plays if they happened more than once. Besides, according to Dan Orlavsky, Dorsey has failed to put his players in a position to have success. It would take a 10 out of 10 effort by players to make plays work and it shouldn't be that difficult. He stated that the Buffalo offense was broken schematically and easy to defend. Josh has gotten worse under Dorsey. Now, let's see how it goes with Brady.

It was NEEDED. McD has built a top team and when healthy the defense was top 5. If they fire McD he will have another HCing job in a heartbeat. The defense has been playing well considering all the injuries to the main players. The offense has been playing like crap until Josh Allen plays lights out at times. Dan Orlavasky of ESPN

https://www.pro-football-reference.com/teams/den/2023.htm CURRENT RANKING #3 IN YARDS ALLOWED BY ESPN https://www.espn.com/nfl/stats/team/_/view/defense/table/passing/sort/netTotalYards/dir/desc In that KC game, it was noted that Mahomes was dealing with sickness and played anyway. Besides, the Chiefs have been bailed out by their defense quite a bit this season.

Guys, Ken Dorsey was a huge problem with the offense as it became too simplistic. Opponents knew what was coming and keyed on that. Do you guys really think the NY Giants or NE Patriots are THAT good on defense? HAD...TO...GO! Freaking Denver has the 32nd-ranked defense!! My thought, I wonder if Dorsey was gunning for McD's job as HC of the Bills. Either that or he was just plain stupid.
