  1. It's easy to see that the Raiders changed up what they were doing on defense to stop the Bills offense and Buffalo attempted to do the same and it backfired on them. The Bills are a run-first offense and that #30 ranked Raider defense simply stuff the run game and force the QB to throw! 1st and 10 started with a direct snap to Shady and he got 6 yards and he was injured on the play! next play was a run to Gillislee for NO GAIN. 3rd down pass incomplete, PUNT! Raiders face a 3 man Bills pass rush AKA prevent defense and score a TD! Bills, 1st and 10 Tyrod incomplete pass to Watkins, 2nd down run by McCoy NO GAIN! 3rd down, PENALTY on Glenn for a false start! 3rd and 15 incomplete pass to Watkins, PUNT! Raiders, TD! Bills, 1st and 10, McCoy run for 2 yards. 2nd and 8 Taylor incomplete pass to Christian.3rd and 8, incomplete pass to O'Leary. Raiders, TD! Now, does it make no sense to anyone else that the Buffalo Bills basically stop attempting to move the ball on the ground by any means necessary over asking Tayor to make the long first downs on 3rd down with his arm? Tyrod Taylor isn't a conventional pocket QB and yet suddenly the Bills are forcing him to make plays with his arm over his legs. To me, this loss falls on the coaching staff for going into a defensive shell with the 3 man pass rush while the offense went into their shell in attempting to have Tyrod Taylor carry the game with his arm.
  2. It's nearly two years and what we see is a HC no better than Dick Jauron, or Chan Gailey or Doug Marrone or any of the head coaches hired over the past 16 years. Marrone had the smarts to hire a DC who could actually get the most out of the players on the roster in Jim Schwartz!! But, alas he also had the stupidity to hire an inexperienced OC with no QB coach to attempt to develop 3 young inexperienced QB's and two of them, rookies. The entire world can see in Jacksonville what ex-Bills OC Nathaniel Hackett has done for Jags QB Blake Bortles this year. First as QB coach and now as OC for the Jags as Bortles has regressed so profoundly that has now thrown six pick sixes!! This team seems to hire men who fail at what they are supposed to be acclaimed for as Marrone was a supposed offensive mind and Ryan a brilliant defensive mind. Still, this team shouldn't be afraid to make changes with the FO and coaching staff as we have all seen that the correct choice at the top of the org can have an immediate successful impact! These new owners need to take themselves, Russ Brandon, out of the hiring equation and either hire some senior NFL advisers or team president of football operations and allow him to hire the next GM, HC! Allow NFL football people to hire NFL football people!
  3. The Bills played a great first half by holding that vaunted Raider offense to just 3 FG's and by Tyrod throwing enough to get the offense scoring. 10 to 9 at the half and at the start of the half Shady had another big run and Tyrod ran for a TD and Gilllislee had a rushing TD. 24 to 9 the Bills looked dominant for a bit in the 3rd quarter ,,,and at some time after that, it all fell apart. Rex Ryan doing his George Edwards impression by just rushing three and getting no pass rush on Carr. The secondary stinking it up allowed the Raiders 4 TD's and the offense suddenly stopped working. I can't help but feel that there are times when half of the other NFL teams are so jealous of Tyrod in his elusiveness and running ability while hitting every receiver. Then in the same game, he goes into a shell and can't throw at all. In regards to Rex Ryan and his inability to get the most out of several pro bowlers when the game is on the line is unsettling to me. Ryan has yet to show his defense can stop a QB with a winning record and this year was owned by the 3-8 Fitz.
  4. I get a kick out of the bipolar Bills fans that loved Tyrod in the first half and then went on to hate him in the second half and somehow Rex Ryan is Teflon
  5. Everyone was saying if this defense can hold the Raiders in the first half to only 3 FG's it should be a win... Then the second half started with another big run from Shady and a TD by Tyrod and it was 24 to 9 as all Bills fans were giddy with delight! Suddenly the Bills offense couldn't run, and couldn't pass and the defense started rushing only three. The result of that was 4 Raider TD's 38-24 win. What the hell happened to the defense that held them to FG's in the first half and the Shady that was running wild for 130 yards and Gillisilee who was unstoppable?
  6. Some fans are so blind by their hate for the QB they fail to see a bad defense that gave up 3 TD's to lose the lead and the game. Yes, Tyrod is a very limited QB. The head coach was hired primarily to make sure the defense stayed in the top 5 and it hasn't even been close. The stats say top ten and yet this defense hasn't beaten a winning QB for almost two years now.
  7. The reality is that so many fans would rather point at the QB for not being Derek Carr then see the real reason the team gave up three TD's so quickly. Rex Ryan's defense has yet to beat a winning QB this season.
  8. Think about how this team overlooked a player like Derek Carr in the first place. Now can anyone really expect this FO to find a better QB in the draft?
  9. This is a running team and should have gotten that run game working to keep the ball away from Carr while eating up the clock. It sure as hell didn't help to be rushing only 3 and letting Carr rip that secondary apart
  10. The Raiders look like they have such a solid WR corps and is easily as good as any in the league. Derek Carr reminds me of another QB from long ago.
  11. Yea, Taylor is such a bum for giving up three TD's so quickly in such a passive way!
  12. Mack was due to eat Mills...
  13. The Buffalo defense gives up three TD's and if the Bills lose the blame will go to the wrong guy.
  14. smart time out to slow them down, sheesh
  15. Now, now the Bills did do something this with the WR corps this offseason...they let Chris Hogan leave for the Patriots. Speaking of the Patriots, even with a receiving corps loaded with talent they seem to find a way to bring in more talent to their WR corps and sometimes it works out and at times it doesn't. This year they traded for the Bears star TE in Martellus Bennett and good thing now that Gronk is out for two months. They signed Chris Hogan and Nate Washington and drafted Malcom Mitchell in the 4th round. Still, gotta really like Justin Hunter and wonder why he doesn't see more passes his way this year. The kid has only seen 14 targets, 7 receptions and 4 of them have been for TD's! Things wouldn't be so bad if Woods wasn't out with an injury and Watkins missing most of the season. WR Walter Powell, WR / ST Marcus Easley, WR Kolby Listenbee and Chris Gragg all on IR. 13 players on IR, another 5 out with injuries, and 8 questionable with another 5 probable. Good Lord! WTH is up with the current Bills trainers and S&C coaches?
  16. Romo playing behind the best offensive line in the game in Dallas and can't stay healthy! Some want him in Buffalo with the turnstile at RT? The guy has had 3 back surgeries and 2 BKN collar bones and even if he could stay healthy and get the Bills to a winning season the guy is a playoff choker as he has lost 4 of 6 playoff games for Dallas.
  17. Good stuff Bo! I don't think many Bills fan get just how good that Jacksonville defense is and I'd rate that pass defense about as good as the Seahawks. Their D-line was creating such havoc with a simple four-man rush. The Keys to this game in my view were the multiple breakdowns on the Jags D in both the safety and CB covering the same gap that freed up Shady for that long run. The breakdown in their pass defense that allowed Sammy that big catch. Last but not least was their special team's breakdown in allowing that big return right before the end of the half. Bad teams make these sort of mistakes, though. Sometimes it's just better to be lucky...
  18. The Miami Dolphins also pounded the Pittsburgh Steelers 30 to 15 and yes that was with a Big Ben just coming back from an injury. And they needed an overtime to beat the lowly Browns. They also beat the 6-6 Titans 17-30. So yes, you could say the Dolphins this year are doing good because they have beaten a bunch of bad teams. They are currently 7-4 and I don't have much faith that they can beat the 6-5 @ Baltimore Ravens. However. they then face the Cardinals,@ Jets, @ Bills, Patriots. The odds I give them is to finish the season at 10-6 and perhaps make the playoffs and they have a better chance to make the playoffs than the Bills. The Phins are 5-1 at home, 5-3 in the AFC, 2-1 in the Division
  19. Because on Sunday that oblong spheroid can bounce any which way and good teams lose to bad teams every week. Bills fans simply don't trust this year's team to be motivated enough to beat a bad team. Heck, they could have lost to the Jags if not for the Jags defense and special teams blowing up on a few select plays...but that's what makes them bad. The Browns took the 7-4 Dolphins to overtime and only lost to a few teams by 2-3 points. On any given Sunday! Stats says it's extremely difficult for a team to lose all sixteen games in a season and chances are they will win one game. Giants, Bengals, Bills, Chargers, Steelers. which will it be...
  20. Was anything I posted false? Did I post stats that were lies? The ONLY way posts like this will stop is if and when the Buffalo Bills defense beats a team with a QB that has a winning record and they face three teams ahead. Oakland, Pittsburgh, and Miami. and thank you too... for quoting my post so fans get to read it again.
