  1. She wants some of his millions and will do anything to get some. Probably hoping for some settlement to shut her up.
  2. The Bills made the playoffs last year, so what's wrong with the culture? I think I'll take Sean McVay's strategy over building a culture. The Bills need to fix the offensive run game before they ruin this rookie QB.
  3. Baloney! LeSean McCoy is one of the very best RBs, receivers in the league and this moron of an OC won't use him. Instead he keeps calling pass players to guys who can't get open, can't catch. Stop making excuses for the OC & the run game coordinator/line coach as both suck big time. There is no cohesive protections schemes to allow Allen to do his job and so he gets sacked 7x. That's on the QB and the coaches too. Just last year under Dennison the Bills run game was #4 in rush attempts, #6 in rushing yards. This year the Bills are 19th in rush attempts, 24th in rush yards. Yes the line stinks but they are not even attempting to run the ball very often with being 19th in attempts.
  4. It really is mind numbing that Daboll is this lame. He keeps trying to run a deep, quick strike passing offense with a rookie QB that can't yet read coverages. Allen needs help in reading that defensive front from the experienced linemen, center. The entire offense should be coached up to take on a rusher if they see someone unblocked. Line, receivers, RB's. Then, there really is no reason as to why this offense isn't utilizing their best player on offense in McCoy. He is one of the very best RBs in the league and one of the very best receivers and without question he is the Bills best receiver too. Shady McCoy should be seeing 25-30 touches a game regardless of the score. If this Imbecile Daboll can't get this offense working by week 8 the Bears game he should be fired and replaced by senior OC and current receivers coach Terry Robiskie. If I were McD I wouldn't wait that long because Allen might be brain dead by then, two more games against the Titans, Texans and if this offense isn't giving LeSean McCoy 25 touches per then FIRE the Daboob!
  5. From my perspective it was Doug Whaley and his scouts doing the scouting for that years draft as Beane was hired later on. Think about that for a min and would you trust Whaley and his scouts opinion on any QB after he thought EJ was the man. In all probability nobody in Buffalo was looking at a QB in that draft class. Not to mention that this team doesn't have Andy Reid calling plays, the Chiefs WRs, RBs or offensive line. Had McD drafted Mahomes last year he probably would have started him against the Chargers and he would have been ruined by now.
  6. Yes, it's clear that Allen missed that read with the free Blitzer on the LoS. He also missed his outlet receiver that didn't block that Blitzer but had turned around as an outlet and alas he never did look left for some reason. Also, if the receiver decides to pick up that free Blitzer and it's not a fast sack. Although, isn't the center supposed to help with those calls too. If not just the center when a linemen sees a potential threat coming unblocked they used to yell "fire" "fire" or something to get the QBs attention to that free Blitzer on the line. To me this is just bad coaching all around QB, Line, WRs. It's just a hot mess of an offense.
  7. It's true he had a bad O line and bad WRs at Wyoming and mostly had to carry the team all on his own. To an 8-5 record and a bowl game win. He simply can't carry an NFL offense all on his own and he shouldn't have to. The current Buffalo Bills offensive line players are a bunch of clowns in blocking the wrong man, whiffing on blocks. It really is a clusterfluck of comedy that these supposed pros don't have a clue who to block half the time. What does it tell you that the Bills needed 3 yards on 2nd and 3 with 7 offensive players on the line in the game and got two yards! Then on 3rd and one with the same 7 players couldn't get one yard. Shady got 7 yards on first down and the offense was so bad they couldn't get 3 yards in 2x attempts. This wasn't a goal line stand as it was at the Bills own 29 yard line. So now that the run game doesn't work it all goes on the rookie QBs shoulders. Of course he is going to struggle attempting to carry the entire offense. Allen isn't the issue as it's the bad play calling, the lousy offensive line, the terrible WR corps. This OC, run game coordinator need to find a way to make the run game work to take pressure off that rookie QB. FYI, against the Vikings the Bills had 38 carries for 128 yards rushing. ToP 35:45 to 24:15 all due to a run game that worked. It also helped that the Bills got the lead at the start of the game and didn't need to play from behind.
  8. I wasn't attempting to prove the point of this thread. Losing Dareus for that game wasn't the cause for the loss as no Raider RB had 100 yard rushing and Carr went 17 of 34 for 214, 2 TDs. The defense didn't lose that game as in my view the Bills offense lost it. What I was attempting to convey was that the Bills offensive line and run game was so bad that they only got 13 rush yards on 13 carries. This was against a 3-12 Raiders team that was 32nd on defense in points allowed. This was with Fred Jackson, CJ Spiller, Robert Woods, Sammy Watkins. I can recall both Spiller and Jackson getting tackled in the backfield as soon as they received the hand off. Hence the 13 rushes for 13 yards. Which is ridiculously bad. The Bills drives that day went TD, INT, PUNT, PUNT, PUNT, PUNT, PUNT, FG, PUNT, PUNT, TD, PUNT, INT, TD. It was all Kyle Orton on offense for Buffalo. Had the Bills any semblance of a run game that day the defense wouldn't have been on the field as much and should have easily beaten that 2-12 Raiders team. The bigger point here is that the Bills had a #4 overall defense and no playoffs. So McD wants to build a top defense while overlooking the supporting cast for his rookie QB, and because of that fact the rookie QB might not even survive this season.
  9. Right now the KC Chiefs have one of the best young QBs in the league and they built an offense around him. Solid offensive line, many offensive weapons WR, TE, RB. The Chiefs are #1 in scoring on offense and #28 in yards allowed on defense. They are also 4-0 with 14 passing TDs. They spent 16 mill per on a WR they don't even use. Looking at that Green Bay game with 7 sacks on Allen, 18 for the season this kid might not survive this year to become a Mahomes.
  10. This is where the current trend is going in the NFL in terms of head coaches and they are kicking some arse. McVay is a genius! Also forgot to mention that new offensive minded HC in SF. And the NY Giants went that way too. So did Indy with Frank Reich. In 2014 We all saw that the #4 overall defense won't win much if you don't have an offense that moves the ball and can score. The game that killed Buffalo that year was at Oakland where they lost by 2 points and the offensive line really let the Bills down with 13 rushing attempts for 13 yards. This was against the 30th ranked Raiders defense too. Bottom line is a great defense doesn't always get you into the playoffs. While I really like McD I think he screwed himself by not drafting some quality O linemen and WRs. It wouldn't shock me to see these new owners look for a better mentor for their rookie QB.
  11. Deandre Hopkins in ten times the receiver Watkins is and he will make about as much. Watkins is the 65th best receiver in the league ATM yards wise and in my view not worth anywhere near what he was paid by KC. Just because some team is foolish enough to pay him that much doesn't make him a top 5 WR.
  12. For a WR that was injured more often than not and the Bills didn't even throw to him that often when he was here. Sammy Watkins signed a 3 year, $48,000,000 contract with the Kansas City Chiefs, including a $21,000,000 signing bonus, $30,000,000 guaranteed, and an average annual salary of $16,000,000. Would you really be willing to eat that contract for a decoy? The Bills are rebuilding and there are 4-6 WRs in the 2019 draft class that could be first round picks. Perhaps the Chiefs will find a way to have him earn what he makes. I kinda doubt it though.
  13. I watched it and he looked great. Now can we trade McD, Daboll for Andy Reid? BTW to the fans complaining that the Bills should have kept Watkins, he had one target all night. Still a very expensive decoy.
  14. While Mahomes looks brilliant so far. The simple truth is the Buffalo Bills don't have Andy Reid coaching him. Nor do they have that KC offensive line or those KC receivers, RBs. The Bills would have put in Mahomes last year against the Chargers and probably ruined him in Dennison's offense. We can pine away about woulda, shoulda, coulda and it gets us nowhere. Let Allen develop and see where he goes.
  15. Perhaps I left out what the Bills have been attempting to run this year. Ball control run game is about the furthest offense from what Daboll calls as he has been calling a pass first, quick strike offense that hasn't been working. The only reason the Bills had more rushing attempts then passing attempts last year was because the QB Taylor had 84 rush attempts with 427 yards rushing. I do believe that Dennison was attempting to pass more and Taylor just wouldn't throw it. Anyway, I really do want the Bills to run that ball control run first offense to take pressure off the rookie QB so he doesn't need to carry the offense all on his own. Marrone, Ryan, Lynn all had the right idea it's just they didn't have a decent QB. Before them Gailey ran a pass first spread offense and went 4-12, 6-10, 6-10 in doing so. He didn't have a QB either.
  16. This is not true. Although it should be because you need a balanced attack that can move the chains with the run or pass. You have to admit that under Marrone and Ryan the Bills made it to 9-7, 8-8 with one of the best run games in the league. The problem was they had a QB that wouldn't throw unless the receiver was wide open so that passing game never attained more than a mediocre attack ranking near last in passing. Daboll has had problems getting the offense going because they have been behind in points in 3 out of 4 games and in this last game the Packers stuffed the run on 2nd, 3rd and short and it went downhill from there. If you can't run the ball it puts everything on a rookie QB to carry the offense and that is never a good option. From what I understand the game plan for the Packers game was to give Shady McCoy 20-25 touches and he saw only 5 rushing attempts, 3 receptions. So the game plan went out the window and onto Josh Allen's shoulders.
  17. Can we trade away Daboll and Castillo instead?
  18. I've seen that all year in each and every game in which a defender is left unblocked because a Bills linemen takes another's block. Dawkins did it once and he blocked the DT while the edge rusher came free. I've seen this happen way more often then it should. This shouldn't happen after the preseason is over. I think it's a cross between bad coaching (Juan Castillo) /play calling/game planning (Daboll). If McD fires Daboll he also needs to fire Castillo even more so. The line can't block properly, bad discipline in getting so many penalties, no run game to speak of.
  19. I yearn for Anthony Lynn calling plays, running the offense. The 2016 Buffalo Bills had the #1 team in the NFL in rushing yards, #1 in the NFL in rushing TDs, #1 in the NFL yards per rushing attempt. 492 rushing attempts while being the #2 team in attempts. 474 passing attempts with Tyrod and EJ at QB. Now swap in Josh Allen and it gives the rookie QB a solid run game to enable him to develop properly. The Bills ran the WC offense with shorter throws to help move the chains and make first downs. The problem was they had Tyrod who wouldn't attempt to throw unless the receiver was wide open. This Brian Daboll offense reminds me of Turk Schonert calling plays under Dick Jauron in 2008 in that Mike Martz deep passing scheme that ruined both JP Losman & Trent Edwards by getting them hammered. Attempting 5-7 step drop backs behind a line that wouldn't give them the time to make those deep throws. On another note to allow the OPs wish to come true. McD does have a very seasoned OC on the team in Terry Robiskie the WR coach who coached 2nd year QB Marcus Mariota in Tenn. under Mike Mularkey to a 9-7 record 2x. Should he really want to make a change at OC to save Allen from being ruined. Stating that it looks like Mike Mularkey is out of work and might want to return to the NFL as an OC.
  20. The OP contradicted himself on #7 with #8 because if you can't get 3 yards on two rushing attempts using a 7 man line on offense then there is clearly talent lacking. This team lacks quality talent in certain areas like most of the offensive line and WR corps. Both look to be some of the very worst in the league as most starters wouldn't even be backups on good teams. I do agree with you on Daboll as he stinks! Once the team gets behind in points the run game plan goes out the window and this OC calls plays like he has an experienced veteran QB back there…with time to throw to receivers who can get open and not drop balls. The run game and the TE are a rookie QBs best friend along with a short passing game to move the chains and let the QB gain some rhythm, confidence. Each and every week the Bills should be pounding that rock all game long regardless of the score and they aren't. The best player on offense is Shady McCoy and he should be getting between 20-25 touches a game and this game he had 8 touches. Shady even stated that the game plan this week was to get him more touches and it didn't happen
  21. That old blitzburgh vaunted Steeler defense is a shell of what it used to be. They don't blitz anymore.
  22. The thing is the Bills defense started so slowly in those three losses that once the team is behind in points the offense can't seem to get going at all. Then later on in the game they seem to play much better. The other thing is it looked like Hughes was being held on almost every play against GB and it wasn't being called. That Minnesota game the offense had 38 rushes and in this weeks game only had 16 rushes all game. McCoy getting only 5 carries and he even stated that the game plan going into this game was getting him more touches and it didn't happen.
  23. It's not us! This is a bad, bad team. Bad offensive line, bad WR corps, bad play calling, game plan. This is an OC who was never that good to begin with and he is not setting up the offense for a rookie to succeed. He is setting up an offense for a pass first offense with a crappy line that can't hold their pass blocks and with receivers that can't get open, get separation. Plus they seem to drop more balls than other teams. This OC thinks he has the Falcons offense with Matt Ryan at QB that he is calling plays for... All this falls on bad coaching from the OC, the run game coordinator/line coach, receivers coach. This offense might get fixed somewhat with better talent all around but I kinda doubt with these coaches.
  24. Allen is a rookie and his best friends are the TE and a strong run game. The passing game should consist of short outs for easy completions to move the chains and let the QB get into a rhythm. This isn't happening from what I see. The best player on offense is Shady McCoy and he saw only 5 touches in the run game while having a 4.8 YPC average. He did see 6 targets as a receiver, 3 receptions and he is the best pass catcher, catch percentage wise. How this player isn't seeing between 20-25 touches a game is criminal. No run game to speak of and constant passing with a bad line, bad WRs, It's simply bad, bad coaching.
