OK. I'm now intrigued by this. Its a long trip from CT, but it must be fun to meet up with fellow Bills fans at the stadium. If I can snag some tickets, who's got the best and what do crashers normally bring to the party? I used to drink Labatt's when I lived in Buffalo. I suspect its microbrew now.

OK, so I missed the early tailgaters, but I do remember people with jugs of amaretto on the cold days. I think they still sold drinks til the game ended. Oh for the good old days!

$50 at Gillette last time I went. What is parking cost at the Ralph now?

I left Buffalo in 1983 and we used to park on the street for free back then. I probably passed some parties in those days, but was too cheap to pay for parking. Probably can't do that anymore.

I was wondering after so many comments about why we love the Bills, someone said the tailgating. I used to live in Buffalo during the Knox years and went to several games when endzone seats could be had for $8. I don't remember tailgating in those days and no it became extremely popular when the Bills were going to Superbowls. Did one guy start it and it kept rolling. That brings up another question for people who have tailgated elsewhere. Who does it best. I've done it at Gillette, but I think its only popular since it is so hard to leave the stadium on RT 1 after the games.

Yea I still love the Bills. Grew up in Western NY and watched the Browns more as a kid. When I lived in Buffalo from 1977 my love grew. Team started getting better after OJ was traded and I went to a lot of games. Moved to Miami and endured torture from local fans in mid 80s. Moved to Washington and made it back to Western NY during Super bowl era, but never made it to a live game. Finally bought tickets and flew back to a game when Flutie was there. I haven't been back to the stadium since as the Canadian fans were so annoying and the aluminum seats were really cold (I really wasn't prepared for cold weather game even though I came in from Chicago) I've been in New England since 2001 and have attended a few games at Gillette. Met some great Bills fans there but as you can imagine and expensive waste of money. I still watch the Bills every week as a Direct TV Sunday ticket subscriber since 2001. I'm finding it harder and harder to commit my time, but I'll probably keep watching and hoping. I know I feel better when they win and am now finding it easier to get over the losses. Still a Sabres fan too!

Went to a game at Rich stadium in 1981 or 1982. It was cold and snowing and Bills were behind with very little time left. Thought we would leave early to beat the crowd. As we were outside walking to ourcar, we could hear the crowd roar. We missed a Fergy Hail Marry to Roland Hooks that won the game for Bills. My first game ever was in the mid 70s. Me and my friend drove over from Rochester to see OJ. It was pouring rain and we left at halftime. My last game in Buffalo was in 1999 and Bills scored a late touchdown to go ahead only to lose on a last second fieldgoal to NY Giants. It was a December game freezing cold and we flew back to Chicago only to run into obnoxious Giants fans at the airport.

Never went to a Bills game at the Rockpile, but it was the first concert I ever attended while I was in high school. A bunch of guys drove up from Olean to see the band Chicago. Had a few beers as somebody must have been 18. I remember all the kids in the neighborhood were yelling "park here" "park here" and I was glad to get out of the big city that night.

Sad to hear. That Bears defense was one of the best ever. Great legacy with his two sons coaching in the NFL. RIP

Tough to pick from different eras. Cookie Gilchrest 60s OJ 70s Bruce 80s Thurman 90s Kyle 2000s I know I left out Kelly who brought Buffalo football back from the dead.

I am of the opinion that the Sabres have a better chance of hoisting a Stanley Cup than the Bills of a Super Bowl ring. They've come close twice and have more playoff seasons during their 46? year existence. I haven't lived in Buffalo since 1983, but it seems to me the Sabres chances of getting to a Stanley Cup final are enhanced since it is not a one game elimination. Still love the Bills, but my money is on the Sabres breaking Buffalo's curse in major sports.

I'm an optimist, but have dealt with the mediocrity of just good enough to not land a franchise QB to not good enough to land in the playoffs. Every year I think it will get better and my optimism renews. A few times we have been close enough to & 2014, but then crashed and burned at the end. Until we figure out how to beat the Patriots at least once a year, I feel we are doomed to this fate yearly. Here's hope for a new season. Go Bills!

An old timer here. I've followed Bills since 60s but don't remember too much of them in early 70s when I was in college. I second those who said Lamonica should be rated much higher and maybe above Kemp. He saved several games before he was traded. Bills were a ground and pound team in those days and might have given the Packers a run for their money because of that defense. Fergy in 80s was good, but that team was also built on a great defense and solid running game. Its too bad Knox got run out of town by Wilson as he really put together a terrific team from nothing in a short period. Kelly is still the best in my book and although the defense was good, it was not great. He and the offensive machine only met their match in those Superbowls. I loved that Flutie was a winner although he was supported by a great defense too. Bledsoe had a couple of good years but was probably past his prime. Still think he was much better than most QBs on this list. TT and Fitz are average at this point in my mind.

I'm an optimist when it comes to the Bills. I'm hoping for a good start to the season and it looks like September games are all winnable so we get off to a good start. There's a tough stretch of 3 games from Oct 30 -Nov 20 Patriots Seahawks and Bengals but the last 5 games aren't that tough including Steelers at home. 10 wins is very possible and despite the physical play of any of our 2016 opponents, I think we will have an easier time keeping scores close in every game this year. Go Bills!

I can't believe this. Does he have any recourse to make it drag on again or is he out of appeals? I would say at least 3 of those games will be losses even at home. Maybe Giselle will come to his defense again or maybe drop him like a hot potato.

There is some sense to this, but how does this relate to overall records during this time period. Are all the bad drafting teams at or near the cellar every year. Most years Bills teams have been average with 7, 8 or 9 win seasons. They have neither peaked nor bottomed out where they've had a chance to really get that impact player. 2 picks in the top 5 over all those years and no franchise changing QBs available for them to choose. (so no Andrew Luck, Cam Newton, Philip Rivers or Eli Manning) All I'm saying is Bills drafting has as much to do with near misses when great players were taken one spot ahead of them. (Roethlisberger, Willis or Keuchel) I'd give them average grades at least in the first round and agree with other the track record seems to be improving.

I agree not everyone has a Von Miller, but even the Bills of the 80s with Bruce Smith weren't as effective on defense until they acquired Cornelius Bennett. I still say a great pass rush is what we need to be competitive in our division. Letting Brady pick us apart year after year is really tiresome.

Think what Von Miller did to Brady and Newton and you have your answer. If we can't disrupt Brady, we aren't going anywhere.

That would cost our first round pick this year and next and probably more. I don't see that happening again. Who would we give up to entice the Browns to make the deal?

Wins: Baltimore, Jets, LA, SF, Dolphins, Cincinnati, Jacksonville, Oakland, Cleveland & Dolphins(again) 10-6 and playoffs

I'm not an EH apologist, but he only played in 2 games last year. After the disastrous start against Jacksonville, he actually had the team in position to win that game. I think he is serviceable as a backup and probably better than most alternatives out there including Glennon. Giving up a draft pick is ridiculous in my mind. See what we get this year in Tyrod and the draft and go from there. You all are really not thinking about the back-up QB alternatives for the Bills if EJ were to go.

I'll go out on a limb and predict 5-1 in the division. I think the Pats are finally coming back to being only mildly better than their division rivals and could lose as many as 3 games in the AFC East this year. After going 4-2 in the division the last 2 years, we have to learn how to beat teams in our conference with consistency.

I agree with expanding and re-seeding best records. Our last trip to the playoffs we had were 11-5 and had to play the Tennessee Titans in the wild card game (infamous Music City miracle game). They went to the Super Bowl that year. I can't remember records of other teams, but I am sure we had a better record than at least one of the division winners.

I like the rule change despite how much it seemed to hurt the Bills and Carpenter last year. I wish they had gone for more 2 point plays.

I wasn't sure what this meant when I first saw it, but makes sense as he is a very reliable field goal kicker. Not sure what the problem was on XP's. Wish we didn't need KO specialist, but don't know how much that really impacts us.
