I watched the Manning cast because I can't stand the ESPN Monday night guys. Peyton was calling plays most of the night and seemed frustrated with some of those calls near the goal line. If Bills ever let Josh call plays I think he will be more like Kelly and make the adjustments needed. I kind of feel he does that sometimes when the play breaks down, but some of those run calls inside the 10 had no chance. Probably won't happen until Daboll is gone, but...

What is your Buffalo Bills relationship status?
Dave in Avon Lake now replied to cwater10's topic in The Stadium Wall
I've moved several times and not strayed since the Bills entered the NFL. I watched Browns games as a kid in the 60's NFL. My first live game was in 1975 lousy rainy weather game but really ramped up my love when Chuck Knox took over and I lived in Buffalo in the early 80's. Moved to the following areas: Miami - tough years when Marino was at his best and my son became a lifelong Dolphins fan DC (Maryland) - Bills super bowl years and I was able to get additional AFC games on Baltimore channels plus team was on national games often Chicago - Listened to games on internet radio finally went back for one Bills - Giants game with my daughter and was surrounded by drunken Canadian hockey fans in the upper bleachers New England (Boston & CT) Has Direct TV NFL package for the whole time. Met a Patriots season ticket holder at a Neil Diamond concert and went to 2 games at Gillette. We lost both times, but fans really weren't too obnoxious. Met some Bills fans there too. Bluffton, SC - Found Bills backers bar (R Bar) and had beef on weck but never made it over for a game. Bills finally became relevant again. Cleveland - Lots of Browns fans including my son in law. They are mostly like us craving a winning team. Closer to Buffalo so may make it up for some future games. Loved Bills all those years and hope they can finally bring home a Super Bowl trophy before I go. -
I don't live in New York, so I guess I would need the card until they change the policy
-
I have a copy of the card on my phone that I thought would be good enough. Do you actually have to produce the vaccination card? Haven't been to a game yet, but would like to be prepared in case I do.

Daboll, modern day Run and Shoot?
Dave in Avon Lake now replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall
This may be a little off topic, but It seems as though KC and Buffalo are on the same trajectory offensively. Both teams have QBs who like to improvise and the better teams have it figured out. With the upcoming schedule (Indy, NO?, TB and NE) we will be facing some tough defenses that have the benefit to see what works against Buffalo. I'm assuming there is no one out there that can help us with the RBs and offensive line, but think we need to find a way to be less predictable. -
There’s a place called the Hog Pit in Chelsea on 30th street between 7th and 6th. Great pulled pork and big Bills flag over bar. Been a couple years but I think it’s open.

Just moved to Cleveland area and am now within driving distance for some home games. Looking on Bills website and tickets are from ticketmaster that includes processing fees. I know stub hub does resales. Are there other sites to check to get the best price or best seats. Haven't been to a home game since 1999, but things have changed quite a bit since then. I'm interested in the mobile ticket process too and whether anyone has had problems with that. I have a wallet on my iphone so that should help. Any other helpful information for an old time Bills fan is appreciated.

Looking for tickets to Miami game and seeing the same thing at fairly high prices. I see they only accept mobile tickets now and recommend you put them in your phone's wallet. Its been a while for me going to a home game, so hoping for a good experience as I'll be driving up from Cleveland area. Any help on ticket sites and availability is appreciated.

Bills preseason games on NFL Network
Dave in Avon Lake now replied to CuseBill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I posted something last Saturday and still don't get how Cleveland is local for Spectrum or NFL Network. The replays have not been accurate either. I'd like to see the first half. I have the network on my I pad and that somehow decided I wasn't local so I did see the last quarter live on Saturday. -
I recorded the game today and got Washington and Cincinatti game which wasn't even live. What gives with NFL Network?

I watched the Bills Seahawks game on NFL network last night as I hadn't seen it before. I was amazed how many passes Hollister caught in that game to keep the Seahawks in the game. Didn't know much about him before we signed him, but I can see why the Bills were impressed. Anxious to see how he does for us.

That was a terrific video to watch. It's amazing how much emotion was tied into this. I'm also a Pirates fan who endured more than 20 years of losing seasons so when they finally broke through in 2015 and made the playoffs as well was a similar emotion. Can't wait for Sabres to do the same however unlikely it seems right now.

This goes back a ways, but in the 60s the Browns were the NFL team in the area. My son in law is a big Browns fan and now that I live in the area I am starting to enjoy watching them come out of the lousy years. A few years back I went to a Browns Bills game and tailgated. Fans saw my Bills gear and said we don't mind you guys, we hate the Steelers. My son and grandson are Dolphins fans and my brother is a Bucs fan. If they aren't playing us I root for them.

Single season records.
Dave in Avon Lake now replied to TBBills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not sure what the strategy would be. I suppose if you have already clinch you could rest your best players in week 17 and treat it like an exhibition game. If you need that win or your opponent is also vying for position, could be an interesting dilemma for the coaches. December could be an interesting month. Another reason for signing Trubisky. -
Who’s going to the draft?
Dave in Avon Lake now replied to BillsMafi$'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Cleveland area vaccination are going real well. Indians allow 30% capacity and they are really excited for Browns around here. I'll bet plenty of people are here for festivities after long cold winter. -
I say we go 3-1 with a loss to either Seattle or Arizona. I think our offense gets back on track the next two weeks and momentum should keep us competitive in the other two games. I gotta believe Frazier and McD will get the defense on track or it could be painful slide through this stretch with Pittsburgh and San Francisco coming up shortly.

How About Some Love for Knox
Dave in Avon Lake now replied to BisonMan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I thought it was about Chuck Knox who resurrected the Bills in the late 70s and traded OJ for a bunch of picks. -
There was a movie called "Draft Day". I thought Costner did a great job of showing the differences between mediocre and great GM drafting and how owners can often muddy the waters. It was entertaining and also informative of what goes on behind the scenes even if a bit hyperbolic. Russ probably showed his true colors in the movie in terms of draft ineptitude.

Centenial Hall of Famers

Karras was a favorite of mine when he played for Detroit, but he got in trouble for gambling and was suspended in 1963. That's probably why it took so long for him to get in. -
I've been wondering about that too. I watched Notre Dame every week and he always seems to make the tough catches over people. I'd love to see him on the Bills.

I was at the game in Cleveland when the Bills won in 2012 when my daughter's boyfriend and family invited me to join them for tailgating. I remember hundreds of Bills fans in town for that game. I remember Cleveland fans were quite nice to me and most said they only cared about beating the Steelers. Fitzpatrick was the QB and Tashard Choice was the leading rusher in that game. Most Cleveland fans left early because it was cold and rainy.
