  1. I voted for the Jets wide receivers. Although Clay can be very good, he hasn't shown much the last several weeks. Just to play devils advocate, QB is closer than the poll indicates because Fitz is better at getting rid of the ball when pressured. The Jets have the DL that could make life miserable for Tyrod if he can't get rid of the ball a little quicker than he did last week. In last week's game, I was happy Tyrod got rid of the ball, but Suh had him in the grasp.

  2. Bills 24 Jets 17

Bills will have trouble in early going but will eventually find their way. I think Clay will have a big game and Sammy will get open deep at least once for a TD. Neither team will be effective running and Fitz will throw a pick to end the game as Jets are driving for a score to tie.

  3. With all the changes on the Lions yesterday, there was an indication the Lions may part ways with Stafford. He has put up some big numbers albeit with a receiver like Megatron. I like Taylor, but do you think the Bills should see what it would cost. He's got a big contract although I'm not sure how many years are left.

  4. After reading a few fire Whaley posts, it got me thinking about next year. No, I'm not ready yet to give up this year but since we are on the bye I'd like to pose the question "Who do we keep?"

    Offense:

    QB Taylor

    RB McCoy

    WR Watkins,

G Incognito (resign before season ends)

    C Wood

T Henderson, Glenn (contract may be $$$)

    TE Clay, Gragg

    Defense:

    DT Dareus, K Williams

    DE M. Williams, Hughes

    LB Brown, Bradham

    S A Williams

    CB Gilmore(more $$$), Darby

    P Schmidt

    ST Easley

I know there are a few contracts that need to be worked out, but these are my keepers. What say you?

  5. I saw Easley when he was at UConn and he was tremendous with many big plays. I wish they would use him more particularly with the current WR injury problems. BTW what has happened to Clay? He seems to have disappeared from the offense the last few weeks.

  6. I agree with OP and am disappointed in Jerry Hughes because of all the stupid penalties. He did get the strip fumble on Brady but hasn't accomplished much this year after the big contract. I suspect a big hit if he was cut or traded, but maybe it is time to draft a stud lineman and reduce the heavy payroll invested in the line.

Rambo is getting to be a real liability out there too even when playing nickel.

  7. I'm trying to stay positive, but after 15 years of frustration, it just seems like more of the same. I'm also a Pirates fan and had to wait 20 years to break the non-losing season (and make the playoffs curse). I know it could turn around, but these injuries keep piling up and our division now looks out of reach. Now the Jets look like they could take our playoff spot if we can't start winning more than 1 game in a row. I thought we had the right pieces but the ridiculous penalties have to stop. The way we are playing no team looks beatable this year.

  8. I can't believe Brady has been in the red zone 25 times already this season. Does that mean he is beating teams methodically this year and has had to settle for field goals 9 times.

I wonder if that will or should change for the Bills to beat some of the better teams in the league. At the beginning of the year, I thought ground and pound would be effective in keeping the ball out of the elite QBs hands. As NE proved you don't want to get in a shootout with Brady (or Manning or Rodgers). What do you think?

  9. You're not going to get to a QB that gets rid of the ball that fast unless you know the snap count and even then you might get called for offside or encroachment. Hopefully, Rex can figure out another way to make him hold the ball longer with press coverage and the like. I'm starting to feel the game in November is going to be for the division crown if we keep playing like we have and Tyrod improving each week.

  10. I'm in a 2 QB fantasy league and with Drew Brees out for Sunday, I'm plugging in Tyrod. My other QB is Tannehill so I'm hoping for a shootout in this league. In my other league I have Tannehill as my starter with Tyrod on the bench. Who would you start for fantasy points only?
