  1. Oh please, make it happen. Rooting for chaos is all I've got.
  2. We don't know that there hasn't been an open dialogue between Urschel and coaches about the subject. Teams tend to have an understanding at the point of drafting a player if he's got options beyond the football field so I doubt this news has caught them completely off guard. Anyone who has read his pieces for the Players Tribune are aware that he's been conflicted about playing the game, that his mother hates him taking the risks that the NFL presents.
  3. If he wakes up one morning and realises that he'd just be going through the motions, that's equally damaging to the team. Once retirement crosses your mind, it's typically a sign that you should walk away.
  4. If half the league starts using the NFL like it uses them, I'm all for that. Unfortunately, seldom few have the prospects off the field that Urschel does.
  5. Potentially getting back the pick that we've potentially lost to GB for Lerentee McCray. Genius, Whaley!
  6. Bobby, no. Have some self-respect man
  7. Feeling real good about my Dak 3rd round & Cardale 6th round grades right about now. #Blokes4GM
  8. Hell of a return on that pick
  9. Those damn running backs and their Russian yards......
  10. Excuse you both. Colt had 2 ST tackles to his name last year, I'll have you know!
  11. Only "some" is being mighty generous
  12. Tamba Hali is going on Facebook Live at 8pm EST. Anyone wanting to witness a full-speed car crash should tune in. https://www.facebook.com/tambahali91
  13. It doesn't shock me. I find it something difficult to wrestle with as a spectator. I guess the only thing that keeps me watching is that there's been enough light shed on the problem that any current/future player that doesn't know about this is choosing not to. The informed choice is an option now.
  14. I didn't know if this joke translated so I didn't want to make it
  15. Still my favourite Rambo factoid (you know, apart from the being **** at football thing). @StephenCulley FUN FACT: New Bills safety Bacarri Rambo used to go by his mother's maiden name, Fudge.
  16. I'd pay him vet minimum just to play 20 snaps per game as a run blocker.
  17. I feel for him, I really do. At this point, Seantrel Henderson the football player is almost immaterial. I just want him to be able to live out his days as close to pain-free as possible. The team doesn't really need the cap space but, since Henderson got the PPE pay rise, he's an easy and financially-prudent cut.
  18. Crikey. When John wants you gone, you're toast
  19. I came out of the Bosa thread smelling of genius roses so I'll risk losing some credibility. Clemson WR's being overated talk dies down with Sammy, Nuk & Martavis all topping 1,000 yards. Also, Deshaun Watson beats out the fake Nicolas Cage in preseason and starts 16 games. He's alright doing so.
  20. I went through my old Anquan tweets. Well worth it for finding out that I once called Percy Harvin "Spongebob FrailPants". I don't want to jinx this but I've kinda been begging for this move for a little while now. I'm sad that nobody thought of me in this thread, I obviously need to work on my brand.
  21. I guess this is just going to be going in circles from this point. All I've got left is opinion and it's evidently clear that we differ on the subject. All we can do is wait and see at this point. I look forward to doing this again over Darby in the New Year when his agent starts talking about a new deal
  22. First of all, if the run plays are getting out to your boundary often enough to affect things, you've got much bigger issues defensively than a corner that's not great vs the run. Second of all, just as a personal preference (and an absolutely huge critic of tackling in the entirety of North America), I'm paying my corners to cover in a passing league. Given the chance, I'd love a physical tone-setter on the boundary, I just don't lose sleep if I don't have it. Also, to CBA's point about tackles after completions, the apparently-flawless Ronald Darby allowed 30 yards more than Gilmore after the catch on 103 less coverage snaps. Darby actually missed as many tackles last year as Gilmore (with 8) on 160 fewer total snaps. While I'll grant anyone that Darby has better form as a tackler, it did seem as though folks were focusing on the soon-to-be free agent scapegoat rather than picking up on failings elsewhere. For the record, Corey Graham led the team with 14 missed tackles.
  23. I'll give you Verrett as above him, I knew that list was missing someone. If you're putting him in the late 20's or early 30's, you're reaching. I'll also say it until I'm blue in the face, tackling at corner doesn't mean anything. There's 2-3 plays per game (maximum) where your CB is your force player, that's a marginal impact on your run D.
