Draft prospects not getting enough attention
Blokestradamus replied to glazeduck's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Carson Green is my guy. I've got a 4th round grade on him as a swing tackle with starter potential. One of my favourite run blockers in the class. -
Brandon Beane at Clemson pro day
Blokestradamus replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I feel like his interior blocking was a significant factor in that but I definitely know where you're coming from. I went into draft season with Etienne in mind as RB1 but there was less snap-to-snap consistency last season. Not having Lawrence in for a couple of games and teams selling out on stopping the run didn't help but any kind of regression gives me pause for thought. -

We also need to talk about America universally adopting "built like a brick shithouse" as a unit of measurement. -

Who's your pick for a breakout season?
Blokestradamus replied to BruceVilanch's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Absolutely. I always considered him to be a long-term project that you draft despite the technical issues in his game, so the fact that it's not clicked yet for him doesn't have me too worried. If it doesn't click for him this season, he's a reclamation project for some other team. -

I'm going to go for Cody Ford. I still think there's a considerably talented player there and hopefully he can be the answer for one of the guard spots. -
They're not wrong. It's such an outdated idea to have a monarch, and for the most part, they're just a posh version of the Penguins of Madagascar. "Smile and wave, boys. Smile and wave". Support for abolishing the monarchy is growing. There's always been a solid base of support for the movement, this episode is just making sure that people that didn't particularly care now have a strong opinion. The tide definitely started to turn when they started hiding Andrew from questioning in regards to his relationship with Epstein. I'd like to believe that in my lifetime (I'm 32), we'll see an end to the royal family.

Reporter is a strong word TotalProSports. Instagram floozy is a job title these days, get it right. We used to follow each other on the Twitters back when I had an account. She followed me first and I reciprocated like the gentleman that I am. I don't know if she still does it but she used to send DM's to people with scantily clad pictures of herself to encourage people to boost her exposure online. I don't get on board with stuff like that. She's attractive and all but not my thing. She did used to read some of my draft pieces because she would ask me questions about certain players. She seemed like a nice enough woman when we talked, perhaps she was interested in me more than I was in her. It's tough breaking hearts.

It has been immensely funny (if not extremely concerning) to watch Piers Morgan unravel, all because she didn't want him like he wanted her. Also, don't call them crown worshippers. Flag-shagging nonces is much better.

WFT going from cheerleaders to a coed dance team

I saw the Ohio State band at Wembley a few years ago. One of the most enjoyable moments of the entire day. I adore this idea. -

I might start watching games again for this. -
Haven't graded him yet but Forristall is someone I've noticed a few times over the past couple of years, especially in the run game. I think he's one of two (along with Bruno Labelle of Cincinnati) that stand a chance of getting a draftable grade simply because of their blocking. I don't think he should be on the Bills' radar because the TE group is already pretty meh without the addition of another ultimately limited body but I'll be rooting for Miller to stick on a roster somewhere. I still desperately want guys like him to have a future in the modern NFL.

I have always liked Derek as a player too.

He annoys people because his outward media persona is cringy as hell. I don't think many people think he's anything other than a stand-up dude and a model professional. He's just cringy.

Cole Beasley is good with the football
Blokestradamus replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He's so small, nobody can hit him. Bloody midget. -
I got around to watching Nixon a couple of days ago. I am moderately in love with a fat lad from Kenosha. His athleticism really stands out, he looked half a step quicker than everyone else in the games I watched. His recognition skills are outstanding, especially in the run game. He stacks blockers really well. Wins in the pass game with his burst and his swim move but needs to develop more counter moves. Think he's going to be a 2i or three-tech for most teams but he could play one-tech (even if I think that's wasting his main positives). Gave him a second round grade and a comparison to Grady Jarrett. From what I've seen so far, he might be IDL #2 for me behind Barmore.

The second half of the Ohio State game, he was the best player on the field. He really came up big in the biggest games. I made some notes about him needing to play with more eye discipline and relying on his technique more than his athleticism but I think he's got everything you'd want for an aggressive three-tech.

RIP Marty Schottenheimer
Blokestradamus replied to Bermuda Triangle's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Rest in peace, Marty. Until I saw he was in hospice care recently, I hadn't thought about him in a long time. When you look back, he really had an amazing career. When you see some of the quotes about him from former players, it paints a picture of an even better human being. My deepest sympathies to his wife, Pat. The last 6-7 years must've been hell for her watching the man she loves drift away. The people that care for loved ones suffering from something as horrific as Alzheimer's are truly remarkable.
