  1. I've already given up on the idea that Jaelen Phillips will be there at 30 or that he'd be the pick. This staff hates the pass rushers that I like.
  2. I agree that his landing spot is absolutely crucial. Oweh was a really easy evaluation for me because it's really clear where his weaknesses are. I don't think it's all that hard to plot a path to success for him, it's just going to take an incredible work ethic and some tough coaching over the next 2-3 years. From a Bills-specific point, I'd maybe look at him as a SAM in base sets and sprinkle him into the rotation as a rookie. As he proves himself, you up his workload. He's far from my favourite edge prospect but I could get on board with him as a long-term project. The problem is can you justify taking him where he's likely to be picked in favour of other players, especially when some people consider the Bills as a team with a legit Super Bowl shot?
  3. I was planning to do a few nights in Amsterdam with my girlfriend and a few nights in Prague with my best friend but the uncertainty on whether I'll need to be vaccinated means we might just scrap it until 2022. I'm only 32 and not at risk so I might not get both doses until much later in the year. At this point, I'll settle for being able to spend any time I can with my girlfriend, we haven't seen each other since March last year.
  4. I'll see you on Friday
  5. I really like Carman as a Power scheme RG in the long run. I like his run blocking ability and I think he can anchor adequately in pass pro inside. I just worry that his feet are way too heavy to thrive on the edge. The only reservation playing inside is the mental side of the game; felt he struggled picking up and passing off assignments at tackle.
  6. I already have partial anosmia anyway so I wouldn't miss my sense of smell that much. Apparently, it's not 'scientifically viable' that it's an evolutionary response to growing up with my dad's farts. I think I'd have to pick sight and hearing. I can't imagine a more lonely existence than not being able to see or hear. You see those videos of the deaf kids hearing their parents for the first time, gets me every time and makes me realise how much I take it for granted that the worst thing I have to deal with is being ugly.
  7. Given that I'm of the opinion that his floor is exceptionally high, I don't worry about his ceiling but I understand it. It almost feels like 'maxed out Notre Dame OL' is the new Alabama DL trope because they're exposed to such effective coaching. Theoretically, I think he can suffice playing anywhere but center in terms of his skill set. Whether he could effectively get the muscle memory down to switch sides/positions, I couldn't even guess but I think he's left tackle material, obviously. I don't even want the Bills to draft him in a way, because I want to watch him flourish at LT.
  8. I know at least two posters here who would do it for free.
  9. I value technical proficiency very highly and I think Eichenberg is as technically proficient an offensive tackle as I've ever scouted. I felt like I had to really delve into his technique to find little issues because he's such a clean prospect. If he can work out a solution where he stops his left foot getting a little wide in some of his pass sets, I don't see anything that he does that isn't somewhere between above average to elite. Run blocking, I think he's scheme diverse. He needs to cut out a few lazy plays where he leans on people. For anyone that doesn't consider him athletic enough, just watch him reach blocking, it's a thing of beauty. The only prospect in the run game that I've compared to Joe Thomas without even a hint of hyperbole. I am out on a limb with Eichenberg and I know it. I've spoken to around a dozen people that I know who do this for work or as a hobby and only one has him in their top 5 players in the class. For me, he's my #1 player.
  10. Ossai seems to me like a really logical pick for this coaching staff. Extremely hard working kid, looks like the vocal leader on the field for Texas. I thought he would be near the top of the list for the Bills when I saw him working inside on stunts. Reminds me of Lorenzo Alexander in a few ways.
  11. I assume it was only 14 first rounders without Love included.
  12. A few picks ahead of the Bills, I might just draft a guy the board likes to spite them
  13. Go on then, give me the Rams. Wake me up in a week when we finally pick.
  14. It's always going to be tough for me to overlook some of those incidents, particularly the ones regarding animal abuse. It's very clear that he's had addiction problems for what's essentially the duration of my lifetime. I've been around it and I know the toll it can take on the individual and those around them. I really hope that his family don't feel bad if they allow themselves to think whether life without him would be easier. I've been there during my dad's drinking and, as callous as it sounds, it's a completely natural thought process. Before anyone else asks, I'm not here to judge anyone for putting the man aside from the artist. Music is an emotional thing and plays a huge part in some people's identity. One of the bands I liked growing up, the singer is in jail for sexual abuse of a toddler, so I get it.
  15. Got to give Tommy some real credit. That was 6 years ago and it still lives rent-free in my head.
  16. Nick O'Leary, primarily because of this affront to all sense and logic.
  17. Just going to put this out there because I want it on the record. If you ask me to pick a player from this draft class, that isn't a quarterback, to make the Hall of Fame, it's Liam Eichenberg.
  18. This is the really worrying aspect about this case. Given how much of an indicator this is for future violence, you also have to believe that this isn't the first time he's assaulted her (or someone else) because the strangulation aspect is incredibly 'intimate', for want of a better word. It seems unlikely that he would go straight to that, moreso that it's an escalation from prior incidents. I hope she gets as far away from him as humanly possible but I don't hold out much hope that he's going to get anywhere near the punishment he deserves. She's not just taking on one man; she's taking on a man with a $5.5m signing bonus in his back pocket, along with an organisation willing to do anything to protect him because he plays a sport well and a fanbase that will happily excuse his behaviour (if not threaten her directly or indirectly) for having the temerity to want justice for being strangled.
  19. Just to let you know, I would be down to pay a subscription fee for this service. FAO @SDS
  20. I think Hubbard's ankle was bad all season before he finally stopped playing on it. He didn't have a great 2020 but it looked like he could barely cut on that ankle all year. I didn't think he was a 4.36 guy but he's no slouch. Ran for Canada in the final of the World Youth Games in the 100m.
  21. Brodarious Hamm should be in next year's class. I've already adopted him for my name team.
  22. I was today years old when I found out that Cool Runnings was released in France under the name 'Rasta Rockett'.
  23. Cool Runnings. Gets me every time.
