If the NFL can gloss over Tyreek Hill punching a pregnant woman because he's fast, Josh will be just fine. I'm on record as saying that I dislike him for the type of pick you'd have to spend on him. It would be so easy for me to kick him while he's down but I'll keep my objections to him purely on-field. There are players currently on the Bills roster that I'm not a massive fan of, there's been a couple that I've actively rallied against signing/drafting in recent years. This isn't domestic violence or sexual assault. It's not a legal issue, it's a minor moral one. I really hope that he's matured, for his sake.

Yes, I'd be mortified if that was my teenage son posting things like that on social media. I'm not saying that I'm an angel either. I'm sure that I've done a ton of dumb **** that my parents would cringe at. The same way that I'd feel that would be a reflection of my parenting skills if my kid is talking about "punching faggots" and things of that ilk. He's guilty of being a dumb kid, nothing more. If he feels that way now about certain people or groups of people, that's his business. He's got to be a rookie walking into a veteran locker room somewhere next week, I certainly don't envy him that task with this stuff coming to light. Once that rookie deal is signed, he needs to fire his agent. There was 1st round talk about the kid for over a year and these tweets still exist. It's a PR problem for whoever drafts him in the short term.

I'm not sure how I feel about this. There are a few things that are definitely unsavory that have come to light that I don't agree with in the slightest. He was also 16-17 years old at the time. I'd be mortified if that was my son but I'd certainly hope that he's matured in the past few years. If he wants to be pro-Trump and follow the likes of James Woods, that's his prerogative. It's the opposite side of the coin to Josh Rosen; their personal politics shouldn't be a barrier.

NYTIMES leaked player-owner meeting
Blokestradamus replied to quinnearlysghost88's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I honestly wonder if he kept Whaley around so long because he felt him to be some kind of kindred spirit? I'd happily petition the team to let Kim do all of the public speaking because Terry is, as my good pal put it, a 'goober'. -

Thank !@#$ for that. -
There's a good chance that he is right, at least within the parameters of purchasers of tickets. But when you start polling people about this, it's a very black and white issue (quite literally). Phrasing it as a protest against the national anthem is like asking people if they liked Rosa Parks having a problem with public transport. If you think that it's anti-military, anti-police, anti-anything, it's going to elicit a far bigger emotional response. I'm actually afraid to see the results polling white Americans on the question 'Do you enjoy news stories of unarmed black people being shot by police?'

The media were complicit in distorting the motives of the players involved. The whole saga is just an embarrassment for humankind.

More than half? I'd love you to substantiate that claim, pal.

Interesting Take From QB Guru on Allen
Blokestradamus replied to Da webster guy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There's a fine line between a reason and an excuse. I put this slightly closer to excuse. The main thing that stopped Allen completing passes in that offense was himself. We went through something similar with Connor Cook a couple of years back. 57.5% completion rate in college and, to my charting, the most intermediate throws (11-20 yards) of anyone in his class. Sure, it's always nice when the offense doesn't inflate numbers but the NFL is predicated on those intermediate throws. If you didn't make them in college, why do I have any faith that he'll make them at the highest level? -
Congratulations, Saquon Barkley!

Again? Clingy. -
Bravo, senor Bandito. I'd normally think of mock drafts as something to wipe my backside with but I kinda like this one. I'll even let you off that you basically copied my trade with @billspro from the mock draft thread (and that you picked the wrong guard at 17) Love the fits for Landry & Hurst especially. And if Bill ends up with another pair of "my guys", I might just have to consider that I was born to be a Pats fan.

Wild thing, I think I love you.

Bills' 2018 Regular Season Schedule
Blokestradamus replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The NFL is all about small margins. Talent & performance are quantifiable (to a degree) but circumstances are not. I still don't know how the 2017 roster got 9 wins and the playoffs -

Doesn't that make him instantly Mafia-worthy? -

Trade Rumors? (only Rumors)

The man has played on a few teams, is highly respected by a lot of media guys and former teammates. I'd imagine that he has a lot more insight than you're giving him credit for. Not everyone 'in the know' broadcasts that info to the world, you know. -

If you do need an account for a Browns site, I have a 'SaviourKizer' account that I have no use for now. -

Oh, come on. You and I both know that his 'skill set' will lead to at least 4-5 years in the league. Maybe 8-10 if he's a really good company man.
