TSW Mock Draft 2.0 - Complete!!
Blokestradamus replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'll have a look through the players taken and suggest a few options once Nick's pick is in. Already got a few names in mind (including a couple of guys still very much prominent on the Rams' big board). No stealing! -

With the 88th selection of the 2021 TSW mock draft, The Los Angeles Rams select Chazz Surratt, LB, North Carolina. It's been no secret that we've not quite had the standard of production that we've wanted at linebacker recently. In Chazz, we see a player that has all of the physical tools to be a very good player in the near future. When you consider his relative lack of exposure to the position, he's put together some impressive tape. We expect him to come in and compete from Day 1 for a starting spot. The Cleveland Browns are now on the clock. @BarleyNY -

TSW Mock Draft 2.0 - Complete!!
Blokestradamus replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I always struggle with grading guys like him because there's so much to like but, ultimately, you are likely manufacturing touches for him. I do like guys like him that are something different and think every team should have one of those tendency breaker types on their roster. Philosophically, I look at them like I do tight ends. The value of the player is the volume you're willing to trust them with. -

I quite like Javian as a receiving back and a return man but round 3 would be way too early for me. Not sure how he's getting on the field as a rookie when his pass pro skills are so underdeveloped. -

I'm so glad that we agree on Perkins. He reminds me so much of Jerry Hughes, it's actually a little distubring. A little more bend and flexibility and using his hands around the edge and he would be devastatingly good. I have a moderate crush on their DC, Alex Grinch. That whole front plays the game hard as hell. I'm finishing off a few pass rushers and I'm stunned that I've heard such little buzz about him. -

First of all, you're wrong. Javonte Williams is a beautiful football player and was close to being my RB1. I have two names that I'm curious about where/if they figure on your board. Ronnie Perkins and Hamilcar Rashed. -

Is that Ruvell Martin? -
Is there anywhere that has the full game uploaded? An account I follow on Youtube has put up highlights of a number of spring games.

The end of excuses for defensive draft picks
Blokestradamus replied to Playoff Win's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't disagree. The fact that we're still seeing the same talking points for Tremaine now that I noticed when he was a sophomore at VT is alarming. I don't think you can make excuses for poor reads when he's had 3 years of experience under what is talked up as one of the better developmental staffs in the league. Harrison Phillips coming back from a major injury is a reason. ACL rehab is a B word, I've done it twice. I couldn't imagine getting shoved around by NFL linemen a year after my surgeries. A 3-tech not being as productive as you'd hope because he's having to masquerade as a space eater and having to play alongside people that struggle to complement him stylistically is a reason. An offseason of rehab and Star coming back should fix those reasons. If not, they enter excuse territory. -
From a lifestyle point of view, I think I'd like playing in Seattle. From the outside looking in, it seems to be one of the less culture shock places to live being English. From an organisational point of view, I'd probably pick Baltimore. John Harbaugh seems like someone I'd take to and they've got a decent history of developing personnel at the executive level as well (angling for a scouting/QC job after I retire). I'd hate either LA team because I think the lifestyle would drive me bonkers. Probably say the same for Dallas, but more for the insane level of expectation being involved with that team.

I will be such a happy man when people can differentiate between an excuse and a reason. -

I had a variation of this one on Thursday that I had made a purchase worth £399.99. "Where did I get 400 quid to spend at Amazon from?". Line went dead. -

A fair amount of the scam calls we get seem to originate from India. If you sound like Apu from The Simpsons, I'm highly suspicious that you're called Kevin. I like to convince them to join a competitor of the service they're trying to sell me. I've sold business broadband in the past so I know how to get those guys off-script real quick. -

I voted for Molden but ***** me, most of those options are dire for round 2. Getting the distinct feeling this class might not be that good. -

I wasn't expecting him to be there, if I'm honest. I put Yannick Ngakoue as a comparison in terms of the way they win. Might have to be more of a designated pass rusher as a rookie but his run defense isn't far off. Felt like a smart pick. Might not be the most glaring need for the Rams roster but this is a talent accumulation business.
