  1. The kid caught my eye, this was off his highlight reel. https://vine.co/v/eDUWz6Z03az
  2. If I ever stop finding this funny, please shoot me.
  3. I don't have trust in Cassel to be good enough to take games over by himself. I do have trust that after 11 years, I know exactly what he is. I don't think we have that 'franchise' guy on the roster so I'm content with a year of a flatline veteran QB.
  4. All I want to say on the QB situation is that EJ keeps on earning my respect. I've been heavily critical of his selection and his play but I love him as a human being. Almost come full circle on him. Lesser men would've wilted under all the scrutiny that he's faced.
  5. I always feared that this would become acrimonious. I don't blame Marcel for wanting to get his but I didn't want this to get played out through the press. Especially not so close to the regular season.
  6. I'm not staying up to watch the game but I'll catch the condensed version on GamePass in the morning. I might check in here and Twitter to see if I should bother.
  7. I sense a fantasy team name out of this.
  8. Despite being a big fan of his, my surprise thus far has been Cyrus Kouandjio. I have faith but the kid is working his arse off to get better and we started to see it come to fruition slowly but surely on Friday. Not sure about a disappointment. Camp narratives lead me towards Chris Hogan but very few discouraging performances from guys I expect something from.
  9. I think Wilson is mobile enough at QB to make the read-option viable enough to help and he's got the arm to threaten vertically. Just watch, Booker gets injured in Week 1 and I look like an idiot.
  10. If you don't know Coprich's story, it's pretty brilliant. He got caught selling pot to an undercover police officer. It eventually got pled down and he was reinstated. Booker is going to have a MONSTER year. With Dres Anderson graduating, he's all they've got left. They'll run him into the ground, wouldn't shock me if he breaks 2000 yards. Big thing going against him is that he turns 24 a month after the draft. Can't see him being a really early pick considering the eligible guys around him.
  11. He redshirted at Stanford during Roman's final year there. Maybe he's doing the kid a favour? His dad is a Packers scout, maybe someone is doing his dad a favour? He's basically just going to be run into the ground and might get a preseason showcase for his trouble.
  12. Seale's college stats: 53 carries, 171 yards, 1 TD. 3 catches, 13 yards.
  13. Funny thing is, I feel better about EJ after Friday than I did when he got benched.
  14. I voted for huge mistake because it's closest to how I feel. Never liked him as a prospect but I don't blame the kid for it. If he was ever going to succeed, the process needed to be much better. Rookie QB, eh? I know, I'll get him: A rookie OC. Oh, by the way, can you be his QB coach too? An offensive line more akin to a sieve. A placeholder veteran QB who might end up on IR because of a stiff breeze.
  15. But 789 shouldn't even have been drafted, he stinks!
  16. But 456 is obviously much better. You know nothing!
  17. My reaction? Send my CV to Mr Whaley. He can look after the rest of the roster, I'll find him a quarterback.
  18. Jesus. That brings hernia into consideration. I should stop playing 'What If?'
  19. Certainly not a bad calibre of player to be picking up at this point in the season. Nothing more than a backup but he's got the size to play NT, 1T or 5T on run downs.
  20. Is it poor form to bet on this? Someone has appendix, I had to go for constipation. Someone else said he's pregnant. Hopefully it's nothing major but it'll be whatever it'll be. On the bright side, more reps for Bronson Hill to showcase himself.
  21. Oh noes!!! We is doomed!!! It's a shame in a number of ways. LB depth suffers, ST suffers and Ty seems like such a good guy.
  22. Apparently woke up with it. Hopefully appendix is the worst vase scenario.
  23. Can we panic now, kdiggz? @MatthewFairburn Rex Ryan said Ty Powell has a possible ACL injury. Fear is that it's of the season ending variety.
  24. Looking at free agents and Akeem Jordan seems to be available. He was highly thought of by a few not so long ago. Going down the youth route, I liked Andrew Jackson at WKU. Cut by the Colts after a year, just your classic Mike thumper.
  25. He's a smart guy, well disciplined. I trust him if he has to play.
