  1. So, he's a Kardashian? Explains his backside.
  2. 2nd overall pick was Chris Bonner, the former CSU-Pueblo QB. Glad to see him keep at it, he's pretty good at this football stuff. Nice guy too.
  3. His versatility is so intriguing. Played LT, LG, C & RT at some point. Needs to get bigger/stronger but I think he's worth a late round pick.
  4. I've never paid much attention to the college recruiting stuff, probably because I don't have a team. I need to have a look at any correlation between high recruits and 1st round picks. Satisfy my curiousity.
  5. Just watched a bunch of Nkemdiche games on DraftBreakdown and I still don't see this phenom 1st round player. He's like a plus version of Rakeem Nunez-Roches who was a 6th rounder last year. Undersized 1-gap 3-Tech with a great first step and hit/miss after that. Inconsistent motor, has power in his hands but can't use it enough to be dominant, lateral movement is laboured. Little in the way of counter moves. Before you include the off-field stuff, the dude is still just recruiting hype.
  6. I charted half of his 2014 season plus 3 games from 2013 too. He was the least accurate QB I've charted from this class from 2014 games. Granted, he also has the highest percentage of targets beyond 16 yards so there's some blame for the OC in there too. He's not lacking impressive traits (good arm, shows ability to make NFL throws, has some impressive anticipation throws), I just haven't seen him put it all together yet. As a 3 year starter, I should have multiple games where I can show people and say "Well, this is where I fell in love with him" but I don't. He's just been overwhelmingly average. There's nothing wrong with that either. I understand why you and others like him, maybe we just evaluate with a different emphasis. For the record, I don't care about the attitude stuff and "not a real leader". I'm a Jay Cutler fan so it would be a bit hypocritical to knock Cook for that, if it's even true..
  7. As I said to Yolo, I can see circumstances where Lee goes higher. It all depends on roster composition for individual teams. Draft stock is a fickle thing, TJ Graham was a 3rd rounder because the Bills thought he was. Even if many others teams and media had him much lower. Only takes one team to love a player. Personally, I tend to judge a lot of guys on what they are rather than what they might be. Development not being a constant, I usually err on the side of caution. Part of why I wasn't particularly high on Darby last year, I thought he might take longer to become the player he showed as a rookie.
  8. Doubt he's a first ballot guy with the early retirement. Definitely should be in consideration though. I think that over time, people will truly appreciate just how dominant his career has been.
  9. When you know, you know. A supreme physical specimen, production to back it up. It's been a pleasure watching him and I hope he enjoys his retirement.
  10. It's Landes. Dude got moves too. He's to dancing what Tyrod is to fashion. https://twitter.com/BUFootball/status/693546381185646592
  11. Yep, Tretola is just a destroyer of worlds. Him and Josh Garnett aren't the greatest athletes but they hurt people with regularity on their pulls. As short term competition for Miller and long term answers to replace Incognito, I'd love either. Still love Joe Thuney as a year 1 PS guy, Year 2 replace Urbik as the swing IOL.
  12. Yeah, Lynch is that guy. I just don't see it with him. He's tall, he's got a decent arm, okay athlete for his size, shows flashes of utter brilliance. Traits I can buy in on as a developmental guy. Just think he's a bit slow with his process, bad habits in the pocket (back foot throws kill me), throwing motion is better than '14 but needs work, lot of telegraphed throws. I think he just might lack the football IQ needed to succeed at the next level. If there's one QB I'd love to interview, it's Lynch. I'd take Prescott over him at this point. I'm charting Goff tomorrow so I'll finish him up. I love his feet in the pocket. I'm not convinced he's a guy that the Bills would target if he was on the board but I'd put him in the conversation at 19 along with Wentz. With Cook, I just think he is what he is at this point. He'll be a high variance QB with a lot of ups and downs. I think he's little more than a spot starter type, wouldn't hate him as Tyrod's backup long term. Just wouldn't take him before the 3rd.
  13. Every bloody year, always the same. I don't know if it's just "Big Draft" media creating their own content by hyping these kids up or if the NFL really is that weird. The 3 guys with the most hype I've got graded as 2nd, 2nd and 4th/5th. Maybe I'm just WAAAAY off in my assessments.
  14. I'd take him as a PFA, 4th arm in camp. If he shows something, stick him on the PS for a year. The guy has got heart and character, he earned my respect. I'd be inclined to give him that chance.
  15. Just a fun game to watch. If Jeff Driskel doesn't have an NFL future, that was a nice way for him to bow out.
  16. Mayock weighing in with a not-so-subtle size 10 (or whatever he is) on Cook's no-show in Mobile. "Smart kids take advantage of their opportunities"
  17. My boy KJ Dillon with the FG block!
  18. I wouldn't be surprised. I think that's what his performance and skill set deserves.
  19. A cardboard cutout of Shawn Oakman is more athletic than Shawn Oakman. Horrible body composition, horrible athletic makeup. He's just tall, that's it. Pointless being that long if you have no way of using it.
  20. If I see any Oakman hype around these parts, I'm going to delete my account.
  21. These are my favourite targets for the top 2 rounds. FA will change things slightly but I'm anticipating a veteran ILB. After that, a guard who played tackle in college, a decent WR, my favourite TE and a nasty, mean dude to potentially make Urbik expendable. Would heart this draft. R1P19 OLB NOAH SPENCE EASTERN KENTUCKY R2P18 DT AUSTIN JOHNSON PENN STATE R3P17 G DENVER KIRKLAND ARKANSAS R4P19 WR RASHARD HIGGINS COLORADO STATE R5P17 TE TYLER HIGBEE WESTERN KENTUCKY R6P17 C KYLE FRIEND TEMPLE
  22. Everyone on the Nkemdiche train needs to follow my man Jim (@Jmcobern1). At least check out his TL, you may find yourself reconsidering your stance on him.
  23. He's the Energizer Bunny. Size and experience probably puts him closer to the UDFA pile but there's something about him. I really hope he gets invited to the Combine. He's definitely earned the right to be there this year.
  24. I feel better about my ILB depth if it's Scooby and Ty Powell over Reddick/Tarpley, for sure. Not the first ILB I'd target by any means but I'll find him a spot on my 53.
  25. Stock dropped like a lead balloon after running a 4.93. If you want to see how bad he tested, this is him against his peers with more than a decade worth of archived data - http://www.mockdraftable.com/player/4908/ Dawson had 12 tackles on 34 snaps this year. Played a lot on ST. Obviously Scooby is a little bigger but he'll test poorly. His 40 shouldn't be Dawson terrible but it might be in the 4.75 - 4.8 range. His 3-cone will be bad too, which is far more important. Like Dawson, he has "play speed" through instincts but he might find himself off the boards of teams that rely heavily on metrics. I like him in the 4th and beyond.
