  1. Is that accounting for rookie salaries?
  2. A deal made me happy. I like Richie Incognito. I feel positive about the Bills. I need a nap in a dark room.
  3. I'm actually in shock. I was bracing myself for about $12-13m in a front-loaded deal.
  4. If you're going to overpay to reach the cap floor, this is a good guy to see get overpaid. Balls to the wall, mean SOB. Long deal with what you'd assume is a substantial chunk of guaranteed money for a guy with his injury history is brave. Happy for Chris though, he's fun to watch.
  5. If they address their O-line over the offseason, they might register on my radar a little more. Can't tell you how happy I am that Lamar Miller is heading out of the division. Makes them a worse team.
  6. Everyone on the schedule is a concern. Do I expect them to be good? Probably not. Do I expect anything to be easy? No chance.
  7. I said a few days ago that I wanted Richie to show an awareness of the situation he was in. That this payday might not be on the table without the Bills taking a leap of faith. To see that happen gives me hope that there's a real difference in Richie. The old Richie might've chased the money but I think he's made the right decision. It's fair compensation for his play and he continues playing in a locker room that embraced him, for coaches that gave him stability, in a scheme that's ideally suited to his skill set. I'm so glad I was wrong about him.
  8. One guy not talked up at all is TCU's Jaden Oberkrom. Had a 60% touchback rate last season, was 21-of-25 on FG's. Had a better statistical year in 2015 than Aguayo. Hit a TCU record breaking 57 yarder in his senior year. Was 100% on kicks over 50 yards (50, 53, 57),
  9. Well, they play different spots so I'd hope so. Evans playing LG is a square peg, round hole approach.
  10. Yep, caught me out too. Pretty sure anything above 80% is a viable athletic comp (from the guy that put the site together), Whatever it is, I'm not a big fan. He can be a productive player but I wouldn't take him if I was Whaley. This is well worth a read from my Twitter pal @SundayFiasco on Robert Nkemdiche. Give Charles a follow too, he's a smart dude. http://www.thefalcoholic.com/2016/2/25/11103216/robert-nkemdiche-triangles-athleticism-and-gap-discipline?utm_campaign=sundayfiasco&utm_content=chorus&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter
  11. Jeff is a Lions guy too, maybe it's all part of some secret plan to get him to drop to 16! Also saw something from an "NFL source" about Myles Jack needing further checks on his knee. That sounds like misinformation. Tis the season.
  12. Don't know about you but Ogbah looked really lazy to me. Looked like he took plenty of plays off. Think he's a 4-3 base end only. Don't like him playing OLB, 3-cone was still pretty average for the position despite the 40. Kinda weird that Mockdraftable has his closest comparison athletically as Aldon Smith (90.6% similarity).
  13. I get wary when I see questions about work ethic. I think mainly because I can't get to know the players myself to dispel it. If he was on the board at 19, I would be severely tempted. If those doubts turn out to be baseless, I think he could become a top flight LT. Would give us some handy insurance with Cordy only tagged for one year too. Thought it was worth passing along.
  14. Not quite as good as advertised plus little sign of elite athletic potential from the Combine. Jeff Risdon who writes for Draft Breakdown and other sites is pretty well connected for a guy not in conventional NFL media. He tweeted this today https://twitter.com/JeffRisdon/status/705723804354482176 Jeff isn't the type to share without a credible source. I'll admit Stanley's combine was disappointing for me. Now whispers about his work ethic. Either someone is trying to sabotage him or the league really isn't as convinced as Jeff said.
  15. Hearing a lot of talk today that Ronnie Stanley will be on the board when the Bills pick. That it's feasible for him to fall out of the 1st round entirely.
  16. I think they might leave both on the board and take Zeke Elliott.
  17. Crawford was a 5th rounder. Smith was a 2nd rounder.
  18. With the Combine weight, his athletic comparisons are Jack Crawford and Preston Smith. Cross-racial comps are the devil though.
  19. Reggie is still a little heavy for me. No linebacker needs to be over 240 these days, the extra weight is just detrimental after a point. I've never been worried about him in coverage because he's so damn smart and instinctive. One of the true 'play speed' guys. I wouldn't have a 1st on him if I doubted his coverage skills. It's more about the guy you play inside with him, I'm still not sure I like a Brown/Ragland partnership. Once you get past Myles Jack, there's no perfect guy in the LB class. You'll have to live with the flaws you're comfortable with and many would probably go for a guy like Lee because you can't teach athleticism. That might not be a bad way to approach it in all honesty.
  20. I've often wondered if Bosa is better off as a 5-Tech. Whatever he is, he's a wonderful football player. Not a bad athlete at all, despite some of the overreaction. http://www.mockdraftable.com/player_embed/7042/selected/graph/
  21. Someone like Kyle Williams is my prototype player. Technically very good player, plays with a chip on his shoulder and has a fiery streak that helps him do his job. Off the field, just a quiet family man from Louisiana. No worries that he's ever going to be involved in trouble or scandal. I don't bother following many NFL players on Twitter but I keep guys like Geoff Schwartz and Arthur Moats around as reminders that good guys do exist in the league. Not all character issues are the same. I took issue with quite a few guys the Bills picked up last year for various reasons but it wasn't enough to make me question my fanhood. Signing a guy like Hardy/Galette would seriously push me to that. They both represent the other side of the line I've drawn for myself.
  22. True. There's always games being played at this time of year. Given the stuff that Spence struggled with, I just find it a bit distasteful that the automatic assumption from some people will be to doubt his drug rehab. Got to be tough for his family/friends to read.
  23. It's really weird that teams seem to be reluctant with Spence given the kind of guys some of them employ on an annual basis. I also love the focus on the 4.8 time and not the 1.62 split which is the important bit. I'll worry about an edge rushers 40 time when a QB has a 27 step drop.
