  1. I really don't know how the Bills look at Henderson & Kouandjio. Both were taken with development in mind but there doesn't seem to be a plan in place to develop either of them. Kromer clearly likes his guy and, if they fail to add another OT, there's no better option so they can justify starting Mills. Hell, I wouldn't mind betting Ryan Groy stays over Cyrus.
  2. Jarran Reed in this week. @RapSheet 1m1 minute ago Another busy week for #Bama DT Jarran Reed: #Panthers visit today, #Lions Tuesday, then he heads to #Bills, #Saints Thursday & #Bears Friday
  3. It means we would probably need to draft one at some point in 2017. I can't say I've watched enough of the '17 OT class to have an idea of the depth of it. If the best we can hope for this year is Jack Conklin, yikes!
  4. I expect the Bills to ignore OT in the draft (they would be wise to) and start Jordan Mills next year.
  5. Fun fact - Paxton's dad played basketball at Texas Wesleyan with Mark Calaway (The Undertaker from WWE). I was tempted to bump him up a round just for that.
  6. It's about being smart. In 3 weeks time, you get a 6 figure signing bonus and guaranteed money. I could pass on a night out with the lads for that. I wasn't perfect at that age. I'm 27 now and I'm still a bit of a screw-up. You just hope that it's a one-off they can learn from and not a sign of things to come.
  7. Someone that claims to have been at the bar on Saturday night with Higbee is making claims that it was a racially-motivated attack on a Muslim man. Obviously, take it with a huge grain of salt at this point. Information from legitimate sources is at the bare minimum thus far.
  8. I'll wait to see the legal ramifications of this first. Not entirely sure he's a great Bills fit but, if he's not facing any stiff punishments, can't argue with picking up a talented guy on Day 3. I'm beyond frustrated with these talented kids not having an ounce of damn sense. As a guy who lost his sporting career through injury, I'd love the chances they seem hellbent on throwing away.
  9. That's my TE1 being an idiot. @zach_greenwell Former #WKU TE Tyler Higbee was arrested Sunday in BG and charged with 2nd-degree assault, 2nd-degree evading police, alcohol intoxication.
  10. I'd imagine that's grounds to explore a premeditated murder charge. That doesn't seem like a coincidence. I don't really do US law that well so correct me if I'm wrong.
  11. Just utterly senseless. Deprived a woman of the man she wanted to spend the rest of her life with. Deprived 3 children of their father.
  12. I would stop defending Doug Whaley. Taking Lynch at 19 is pretty bad. Using valuable picks to move up to get him would be diabolical.
  13. That seems to be where his stock is at the moment, especially after his arrest. Wouldn't say no to using the comp 6th on him to secure his services. He's actually my QB4.
  14. Watched Baby Gronk this morning. Definitely just a fullback, not buying this TE bollocks one bit. I'd be in favour of him as a priority FA, really nice lead blocker. Needs to bulk up a little bit though. Good enough receiver to run Spider 2 Y Banana whenever we want. The reason I mentioned Swain is because he looks a lot like John Conner in stature. We know Rex loves him some Terminator.
  15. If the Bills want a player like Tyrod to back him up as a like-for-like developmental QB, I'd take Trevone Boykin before I touch most of them.
  16. There's plenty not to like about Brady, on and off the field. He's a whiny bastard that's been caught using improper means to benefit himself and the team. Even if you think, like I do, that he's not alone in doing so, it has to stain him and be punished when it reaches the public domain. That being said, he is the benchmark for all things QB related for me. I've not been watching the game long enough to talk about bygone eras but Brady is the best I've watched. If Aaron Rodgers maintains his standard of play for the same longevity Brady has, it's probably going to be close. I don't like Brady as a man. I don't like Brady as a Patriot. As a quarterback, absolutely nothing but utter admiration for the talent.
  17. Watched a bit more of Elandon Roberts so I could properly grade him. I want him so much! Came out as a 4th rounder for me. I'd take him handily over the Scooby Wright's and Antonio Morrison's of this class. Would make a solid understudy for Zach Brown. Immediate contributor on ST and another future-proof (or maybe Rex-proof) pick, would translate well to a 4-3 WLB if the proverbial hits the fan. Me and Bandit will need to be restrained if they draft him.
  18. Watching some of Northwestern's Dan Vitale (their wonderfully named Superback) and another Romanesque project player came to mind; Derek Carrier. Carrier was a UDFA from Beloit in Wisconsin that wound up on the 49ers roster in his 2nd season. Carrier's pro day numbers - 6' 3", 238lbs, 4.50 40 time, 15 reps @ 225, 38" vertical, 122" broad jump, 4.08 SS, 6.65 3-cone. Vitale's Combine numbers - 6' 1", 239lbs, 4.60 40 time, 30 reps @ 225, 38 1/2" vertical, 123" broad jump, 4.12 SS, 7.12 3-cone. With the obvious discrepancy between the 3-cone numbers and the bench reps, there's a lot of similar athletic traits. If Roman has a type, Vitale might be it.
  19. @AaronWilson_NFL 57m57 minutes ago Fernando Velasco Bills deal; $965,000, $885,000 salary, $80,000 signing bonus, $453,000 preseason split
  20. Conklin vs Hughes would be brutal. Speed-to-power rusher vs a guy that can't anchor for ****?
  21. One of the guys I'm not sold on as a 1st rounder but he's a 'reach' I can handle. If he ever gets consistency to his game, he's a terror.
  22. Any way we can do it, I'm happy with. This is a class where you let others reach at OT, accumulate more picks. If we can hold a division rival over a barrel, even better.
  23. How valuable is the 19th pick now? At 20, a team is probably taking a tackle. Someone in the 21-32 bracket wants an OT, they come to Whaley. I'm okay moving down a few spots to a) get more picks and b) screw the Jets.
  24. Absolute ironman athlete. Missed one snap in 10 years. Enjoy your retirement D'Brick, it's been well earned.
