  1. This is well worth the read on Robert Nkemdiche - http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/15159447/should-teams-worry-robert-nkemdic-nfl-future The piece comes off as a bit 'woe is me' at times from the writer but it gives an insight into the man behind so many headlines. I'm not unsympathetic to his issues but there's a degree of sacrifice required to achieve greatness and I'm not entirely sure the guy is willing to give enough of himself to become great.
  2. Just putting it out there; Jerald Hawkins of LSU is the single worst OT I've watched all year. Limited athlete with almost zero technique. A guy I don't draft in any round. Developmental would insist on there being talent to develop.
  3. I actually don't doubt Mario. I think he'll have a pretty decent year next year in Miami. There's reasons why Mario checked out last year that don't exist in Miami. Before Rex came on board, he was active a lot.
  4. Really think he could be a steal to play the Harvin role. Production has been a bit feast or famine at times but he's a one trick pony with a pretty nice trick. 7 TD's on 40 catches last year, averaged 21.75 yards per catch. His YPC was 4th in the nation (Will Fuller was 11th, Corey Coleman was 27th).
  5. Want a vertical threat WR but don't want to blow an early pick on Corey Coleman or someone of that ilk? Chris Moore from the Cincinnati Bearcats - http://draftbreakdown.com/video/chris-moore-vs-memphis-2015/ Don't let the 4.53 time fool you, dude is just football fast. Most of this was with RS freshman Hayden Moore at QB after Gunner Kiel got injured.
  6. Finally got around to re-watching him and I'm glad I did. I don't know if I watched 2014 games after he tore his labrum (offseason surgery to correct it) but he was much improved last season. For the most part, I agree with your assessment of him. Pure speed guys will eat him alive (Charles Harris from Mizzou got him outside and then victimised him with a spin move inside). He's a guy that I like as a swing tackle (better LT than RT for me). Tested pretty well for a guy his size and he's already battle tested with 48 career starts. Add him to Parker Ehinger and Halapoulivaati Vaitai as guys I'd like to add to the mix early Day 3.
  7. I'm very seriously thinking that Oakland will win the AFC West this year. That division is wide open now with Denver's offseason losses. I love the idea of a hyper-competitive AFC in 2016. Unpredictable is good, makes every game more valuable. Outside of Cleveland, I don't think there's a massively awful team in the conference.
  8. Got to admit, I think Reggie McKenzie should be higher. I know that with the Raiders (much like Whaley and the Bills), it has to bear fruit soon but the moves that Reggie has made recently have put them in a position for sustainable success for a long time. I think people forget just how terrible that roster was when he took over.
  9. I'm kinda reeling from the fact that we drafted Preston Smith last year and nobody told me.
  10. A few people that know people that know the Bills thinking have put a lot of time into talking about him recently. Either it's an elaborate smoke screen or Jones is way up the Bills board.
  11. I'm already aboard the Hayne train.
  12. I really hope in the next few days, they announce visits for Lawson and Spence. If Ogbah is their pass rusher of choice, I might hit the roof.
  13. I get it. I'd probably make for a pretty poor GM because I'm not a 'low floor, high ceiling' kind of guy. I probably wouldn't take a punt on mercurial talent that might manifest itself 1-2 years down the line.
  14. Any QB not named Jared Goff, Floyd, Nkemdiche, Conklin would have me cursing and likely banned from the internet. I know I've ragged on Lee quite a bit to make my points about Reggie but I could see the logic behind the pick. Wouldn't be a fan of the value but I recognise his potential.
  15. Only if we can take Chuckie Keeton when he goes undrafted as well.
  16. @dpbrugler I've been trying to brace my fellow Myles Jack fans for this... His rechecks did not go well for several teams. Longterm question marks.
  17. A guy I could see being taken very late or as a UDFA is Wake Forest ILB Brandon Chubb. He caught my eye against ULM in 2014, racked up 18 tackles in that game and was everywhere. Posted pretty decent numbers at his Pro Day too: 6' 0 1/8", 235lbs, 4.68 40 time (1.60 10-yard split), 23 bench reps, 34" vertical, 121" broad jump, 4.22 short shuttle, 6.85 3-cone. Apparently the Pats have already had him in for a workout. That ULM game - (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yKjsLsoHhtY)
  18. 9/11@ Bal - WIN 9/15vs. NYJ - WIN 9/25vs. Ari - LOSS 10/2@ NE - LOSS 10/9@ LA - LOSS 10/16vs. SF - WIN 10/23@ Mia - WIN 10/30vs. NE - WIN 11/7@ Sea - LOSS Bye Week 11/20@ Cin - LOSS 11/27vs. Jax - WIN 12/4@ Oak - LOSS 12/11vs. Pit - WIN 12/18vs. Cle - WIN 12/24vs. Mia - WIN 1/01@ NY Jets - WIN 10-6 record, sneak in the 6th playoff spot.
  19. One of the few picks I actually dread happening at 19.
  20. That comparison is doing the guy no favours. He's not even close to being like Mo. Vernon is a base NT for the Bills with little pass rush ability. Take elements of his technique and put that with Chris Jones' athletic profile and maybe you come closer. You want to try and mould the next Wilkerson, take Jones instead. You can teach technique.
  21. I'm still stunned how few people like Boykin as a QB prospect. All the talk about moving him to WR is nonsense. His athletic testing for a WR is awful. Taking into account weight density, it's about as bad as DeRunnya Wilson. I still believe in you, Trevone.
  22. And someone has been driving the Thuney train almost solo for a while
  23. I do like Jeremiah, I just hope he stays true to himself unlike other pundits. I find that PFF agree with me a lot on players, which is something of a moral conflict at times. Campbell is one of those guys that I really dislike but still kinda want. He's a pure athlete playing linebacker and little else. Could be a stud ST player as a backup. Got a little bend to him as a pass rusher too. Wouldn't want him before the 6th though.
  24. I get you now. Comprehension fail on my part. I certainly agree with you on getting a pass rusher. Noah Spence is my guy for that job, my #5 overall player. Ideally, you strengthen an absolute weakness in the 1st and pass rush is one of those. Same way I'll vouch for Taylor Decker too (with the added bonus of letting Cordy know that we have another LT-capable guy on the roster). A lot of it depends on how the first 18 picks go. If all of my guys that I think are extreme upgrades are gone, Reggie is top of the list of players I feel comfortable with. Every year I tell the Bills "Just draft me good players", I still think Reggie is one of those. May not be the 'best' pick but it certainly won't be the worst.
