Blokes did a Big Board
Blokestradamus replied to Blokestradamus's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I genuinely didn't get around to Hooper. Before last week, I had like 3 TE's graded. I knew A'Shawn would get you. I really think there's untapped potential there but I accept the criticism I've seen of him. I like to go with my gut when I'm a lot higher on someone than the consensus. They listened to me on John Miller and I disliked Darby. I'm not sure I'd do that to the fans. -
Jacksonville were the team that asked for a medical re-check on the shoulder and it got passed. Very weird that people are convinced that he needs surgery. You'd assume if there was a pressing medical issue, they would've red-flagged him on the re-check. This was from Tony Pauline via Rotoworld: "Though multiple reports previously indicated that the shoulder was medically cleared, Pauline has heard that "more than a few franchises" believe a condition in Lawson’s shoulder "is degenerative and will cause problems down the road". Maybe this is all mind games but it seems weird that JAX had the initial issue. They don't need him to drop.

At every slot, I got tempted by better talent elsewhere. I'd happily sacrifice a pick for a QB at some point. Prescott in the 4th would be excellent value. My word is all I have. I used to borrow opinions and that led me to liking guys such as Matt Barkley. I'm glad that people have embraced some different takes, even if they disagree. If we all agreed, this would be a pretty boring place after Week 17. It's nice to have a place to share them. Thanks for the positive feedback. Never let anything destroy your enthusiasm for this stuff. Real life is full of enough bad stuff on a daily basis, sports provide an escape from that. Without spending the last 10 months on this, I probably would've been in a really bad place. I'll always have this and my adopted Bills family, which is more than some people have. -

Never got around to him. Honestly forgot about him until the Combine. Couple of guys that know WR really like him. I'd trust them and you on that one. Great athlete despite the injuries. -

Thanks, I appreciate it. You probably have a life, friends, the inclination to go outside. Oh, Jon Gruden would love me if I wore a helmet, pads and a single-digit number. I feel for Hack, he got stuck in a bad situation but I think he's a long term restoration job. He's already shell shocked, not sure he can recover. Thanks. -

Jacoby Brissett could be a nice little developmental QB. I've never seen the 1st round appeal with Lynch. I see an intriguing blend of arm strength, size and mobility. He's toolsy and I know why people like him, I just don't know if he'll put it together. -

Paxton? He is. 138th, where he belongs. -
Driskel. He's the one.

I'm inclined to agree but I'd give the guy a shot, even just as a camp arm. I'm a fan of testicular fortitude and the guy has it. -

If you want to use it, feel free. I might try that myself for next year. He's endured some terrible quarterbacking and still been productive. I don't need much from my WR, just run great routes and catch it. Boyd is pretty good at both. Would help on ST as well, just an all-around good football player. -

I didn't even know that was a thing. Is that a Premium feature because I don't have one. -

Billings/Rankins is just an error on my part (corrected now). I think I went blind to mistakes putting it all together. I also had a panic this morning when I had 254 names on one and 253 on the other. Aguayo is just a personal preference. I prefer kickers (or punters) with a strong kickoff leg. Fairbairn is every bit as good as a kicker for me and gets a bump because of his touchback %. I'd be fine with Aguayo though, he's still a really good kicker. Tom Hackett is a game changer as a punter and had to be my #1 specialist. I'm just relieved that it's finally here. I started this in June last year so it's been a long old slog. It wouldn't be quite as much fun without the discussion we've had over the past few months. With a finite pool of players, things can get a bit stale but differing opinions have kept it going. A few of you have kept me honest and made me re-think a few opinions. The beverage of choice will probably be coffee. Waking up at 6:30 wasn't the brightest idea! -

I've said before that Chris Jones is a bit of a projection at 19 but it's a reach I can handle. I'd rather have Rankins but I can't even begin to imagine him being there at 19. Also seems as though Jones has a lot of traction as a 1st round pick. I'm trying to be right as well as smart. It's a case of taking what could be a huge talent with scheme versatility. He's the type of player Rex should like, the reason he's not a 1st rounder is inconsistency. There's a potentially great player there, just needs to harness it. I'm typically risk-adverse but I can see where Jones can win already. -

Buckner is an interesting guy to watch over the next 2-3 years for me. I think initially, better/smarter players will use his height against him more than college OL did. I don't think he's a bad player, just think he's got a difficult transition. I keep going back to the Michigan State game and wishing that he did more against Conklin. He's an incredible body type. He tested better than Henry Anderson did last year (I had a late 1st on Anderson). Building blocks are there for him to be a decent player. I'd just be hesitant to take him early. -
I like to be completely transparent about how I see the draft so I made a Big Board for you guys to take a look at. The first tab is my full rankings, the second is my positional rankings and the third is my Bills mock draft. I tried to keep it realistic-ish, taking guys I like and matching them up to the rankings of the national NFL media. I'll admit, it was tough but I kinda like it. There's 254 players in all. This is how I see the players, not where I think they'll go. If I'm really low on that guy you like, don't take it personally. I left Tyler Higbee and Shawn Oakman off the board completely due to the severity of their pending legal charges which won't be resolved before the draft. Higbee was a 3rd round TE, Oakman a UDFA DE. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1W8zllWmYujT9GLWTjEjGBHw644UyhxE7869quZksVog/edit?usp=sharing Be gentle with me.

Crystal Ball: Top Prospects for 2016 NFL Draft
Blokestradamus replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yes. Yes he is. Absolutely weird body composition. 6'6", 290 with 31" arms but watch him against Nebraska for a taste of what his best can give you. 6 TFL's in that game alone. He has the potential to be a menace. http://draftbreakdown.com/video/dean-lowry-vs-nebraska-2015/ -
Drew Kaser of Texas A&M has an absolutely incredible leg. Only failed to register a punt of 50+ yards in two games in 2015. Against Ole Miss, he uncorked one from the back of his endzone that went 71-72 yards in the air. There's a good half dozen draftable specialists in this class (not including kick/punt returners of which there is at least 2).

Full of guys I'm worried about picking or flat out terrified of. -
Least surprising news on the day before the draft. Laremy Tunsil's stepfather is suing him. Tunsil basically kicked **** out of him for beating his mother and the coward is grabbing for his signing bonus. http://www.clarionledger.com/story/sports/college/ole-miss/2016/04/27/former-ole-miss-tackle-laremy-tunsil-being-sued-stepfather/83589304/

Stretching this thread out to include punters. Tom Hackett of Utah is a superstar. I love Colton Schmidt but I'd use draft capital on this kid. I'm genetically designed at despise Australians and I still adore him. His game against BYU is super fun - http://draftbreakdown.com/video/tom-hackett-vs-byu-2015/
