If we lose to Wales today, I might go and jump off the nearest bridge. Must finish better, must stop Harry Kane from taking set pieces.

2017 NFL Mock Drafts & Top Prospects

Interesting comments from Benjamin Allbright on Chad Kelly: @AllbrightNFL Jun 14 Chad Kelly will probably get a shot on bloodlines, but there's nothing about this tape that says "NFL QB" @AllbrightNFL Jun 14 Scout to me: Kelly is day 3/PUDFA at best, & that's if you're willing to put up with him off the field...short, middling tools, HS offense. -
Big Ben wants Steelers to go for 2 after every TD
Blokestradamus replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
One thing that gives me pause for thought is, outside of Sammy, how many receivers on the roster are reliable in contested catch situations? Woods is a scrappy bastard that'll go over the middle. Listenbee/Goodwin are more vertical guys. The rest aren't even trustworthy while wide open at this point. Part of why I've wanted a Funchess/Wilson type of WR. Dominant RZ weapon, strong 'my ball' ethic. -

I think the Bills could be one of the better teams at this strategy. Tyrod is extremely mobile, it'll be an 11-on-11 game in a shortened area. Greg Roman runs multiple concepts so it's hard for teams to predict. You only need to operate at 50% success rate for the year for it to be viable, anything above that is a net point gain. -

I've watched LSU a couple times recently and Adams is quite the hitter. Looks to have controlled aggression and superb instincts. -

If you're like me and think the Bills still have a need for a pure NT, you need to watch a lot of Pitt Panther football this autumn. Tyrique Jarrett is a monster of a man. 6'3, 335lbs of pure unadultered power and nasty. That listed weight might be a little generous. -
Eagles' DT Fletcher Cox Gets a Big Deal
Blokestradamus replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Eagles had to get this done now before it cost them even more. I don't think it's beyond the realms of possibility that Cox will get 12-15 sacks this year under Schwartz as a 3-Tech. One of the very best interior rushers and a joy to watch. He's worth every penny. -
Tone deaf. I argued that killing the program wasn't right. They do this, my stance goes nuclear.

Matt Johnson, the beardy supremo. You know I love someone when I ditch Jordan Gay. -

UCLA LT Conor McDermott looks to be a Taylor Decker clone. Similar stature, technique, basketball background, inherent weakness with pad level. Even wear the same number. Both have plenty of power and nasty in the run game. McDermott will be 24 this October so that might hamper his value. Big issue is durability. Left the Stanford game in the 1st. Left the Utah game in the 3rd. Two previous shoulder surgeries. -
Nice stat write-up on Robert Woods

Mocker is a big Woods fan, it should be noted. Dude knows his fantasy stuff though. -

Kiel needs to stay healthy for a full season before I commit completely. Talent is there but he seems to get hurt every year. Mahomes is quitting baseball so that should get rid of that awful sidearm delivery. If they could protect him better, that would be a huge thing for him. He'll get slated for running a lot but he kinda has to because that OL is abysmal. I love the fact that he runs to pass a lot, good head on his shoulders. -

I've watched a bunch of 2017 eligible QB's and I think I'm happy with how I'd rank them. I decided to exclude JT Barrett because his sophomore season was so disjointed and I really didn't want to use freshman film to judge him. He's unquestioned as OSU's starter for next season so the tape will be there eventually. Other notables not on the list are Mason Rudolph (OK St), Trevor Knight (Texas A&M) and whoever wins the ND job. 1) Baker Mayfield - Oklahoma 2) Deshaun Watson - Clemson 3) Brad Kaaya - Miami 4) Patrick Mahomes - Texas Tech 5) Gunner Kiel - Cincinnati 6) Luke Falk - Washington State 7) Chad Kelly - Ole Miss 8) Cooper Rush - Central Michigan 9) CJ Beathard - Iowa 10) Sefo Liufau - Colorado 11) Seth Russell - Baylor 12) Brady Gustafson - Montana 13) Patrick Towles - Boston College (Kentucky transfer) 14) Joshua Dobbs - Tennessee 15) Mitch Leidner - Minnesota I feel that Mayfield is the outstanding QB of the class but people will pick apart his game because of his size. -
Marquise Goodwin Listed on SI's 50 Fittest List

He's a special talent as a long jumper. It seems to suit his strengths better than football does. Barring injury or a plethora of fouls in Rio, he'll take home a medal. I hope it's silver behind Greg Rutherford though! -

The ball placement is the issue that first jumped out. It's fine margins but better placement might mean 25-50 yards more YAC over the course of a game. Watson does have a lot of good traits. Really strong arm, can make every throw with appropriate velocity. His bucket throw is gorgeous when he makes the right decision to target it (getting Williams back will only strengthen that). Escapability in the pocket is a plus but really needs to stand tall and deliver when he can instead of looking to run away from pressure. Played around 205-207 last year, would like to see him bulk up a bit because he takes a lot of shots as a runner. Biggest issue for me is consistency with his feet. It's too much like backyard football with him. One throw vs Oklahoma, he rolls out right and fires a TD to Renfrow. On the face of it, great placement, big time throw. When you watch his base on delivery, he actually throws it on his tiptoe. When he has to come to backside reads, his feet don't line up great and he tends to fire high/wide. Similar issue to Wentz but not as pronounced. I'm a stickler for a consistent process so Watson annoys me. -

Deshaun Watson vs Baker Mayfield under pressure - https://twitter.com/CFBFilmRoom/status/732990233466179585 Watson vs Brad Kaaya under pressure - https://twitter.com/CFBFilmRoom/status/738061682400845824 Can't convince myself that Watson is a 1st round calibre QB at this point. I know Kaaya isn't one at this point. Mayfield might be but he needs to meet certain physical thresholds. -

As a boxer, I respect the talent and the fact that he could consistently back up everything he said (even if I'm not particularly fond of his antics). Once you look past the bravado, there was an incredible intellect at play. He was as sharp as they come at delivering comebacks. As a man he had faith, he had principles. He put those before anything else. He used his platform to inspire others and used it to question things he felt were unjust. His demeanour in and out of the ring seemed almost at odds with each other and that makes his life all the more intriguing. He can be proud of everything he accomplished and I'm glad he's no longer suffering. -
More fallout: @PickSixPreviews Baylor WR KD Cannon apparently posted on snapchat: "You'll probably never see me in a Baylor uniform again. I'll know tomorrow for sure" And 4* TE recruit decommits: @kedrickjames044 Due to the departure of Coach Briles, I'd like to open my recruiting and decommit from Baylor. Thank u Baylor staff esp Coach Lebby & Bedell

I think someone will take his place but the fact they felt that was appropriate at all is beyond me.

And then there's this - @McMurphyESPN 2h2 hours ago Baylor’s Ken Starr scheduled to speak Dec. 6 on panel about - wait for it - Title IX at Southern Association of Colleges in Atlanta. That's !@#$ing priceless.
