Former Bills OL Kyle Calloway passes away

It's obviously tragic for Kyle and his family but spare a thought for the driver of the train. How do you process that and go back to work? -
Former Bills OL Kyle Calloway passes away
Blokestradamus posted a topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Former Bills 7th round pick Kyle Calloway died after being hit by a train. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000673064/article/former-bills-iowa-ol-kyle-calloway-killed-by-train?campaign=tw-cf-sf30331546-sf30331546 "Former Iowa Hawkeyes offensive lineman Kyle Calloway, a 2010 seventh-round draft pick of the Buffalo Bills, was killed by a train on Saturday in Tucson, Arizona. He was 29 years old. A Tucson Police Department release stated that Calloway was jogging westbound on and off railroad tracks when he was struck from behind by a train. He was pronounced dead at the scene. "That was what he did for exercise," Ed Calloway, Kyle's father, told The Gazette of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. "He liked to run and it had rained the day before and the area where he ran was muddy, and so he was going back and forth across the tracks to get out of the mud." Calloway was a three-year starter for the Hawkeyes and was twice selected second-team All-Big Ten. He was released by the Bills during the preseason of his rookie year. He signed with the Ravens the following year and appeared in two preseason games for Baltimore before being released. The family is donating Calloway's brain to study the potential effects of chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE), per The Gazette." -
Topic of the day 7/5: Rivalries, do they matter?
Blokestradamus replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think rivalry is pretty pointless most of the time. I mean, I hate anything Yorkshire related and, during games, I'll unleash verbal tirades that aren't safe for the ears of children but it's all good fun. As it pertains to the Bills, the Patriots aren't rivals, per se. I see certain teams as benchmarks, obstacles that stop us being considered better. I might dislike certain players/coaches on teams but that's about it. Other teams are just in the way. -
NBA/Golden State Warriors thread

Yeah, I liked Oladipo. I saw that trade and figured that I probably wasn't getting any success from them any time soon. Twitter rumours suggesting that Vucevic is on his way out. This roster turnover stuff is hard for a casual. -

I adopted the Magic last year but know nothing about the NBA. Give it to me straight. How bad has the past few days been? -

Got to admit, the CFL is fun. Not even just as an NCAA/NFL replacement either. Watched the Stampeders game this morning, highly entertaining. The rules are bat **** crazy, the scoring system makes zero sense to me. Even in one game, I saw 3-4 players that have NFL level talent. -

My lord. That coach would've been lifted out of the stadium by a stiff breeze. -

I would be too. I just figured that with Mills nailed on to start at RT, Kromer might try and shoehorn another of his guys on the line. The thread is about a surprise starter. I guess Groy would be that! -

Andrew Luck signs new contract with Colts.

Maybe just a personal preference. Huge fan of Henry Anderson and David Parry. I'm also fairly fond of TY McGill and Zach Kerr. I know that PFF graded Kendall Langford quite highly although his production (7 sacks) was news to me until I just looked. If Arthur Jones gets healthy, there's a lot of potential up front. The joys of no significant other, no friends and no social life. -

Logic suggests Blanton is the obvious pick. Little out of left field, Ryan Groy at RG. Working relationship with Kromer for a while, better athlete than Miller. -
I'm happy to set Watkins/Woods aside and have a battle to the death. Last 3-4 guys standing win. Preseason will tell me what I need to know. I have my favourites but on the field is what matters.

Good keepers can save penalties. Gotta read the body, not the eyes. With all the technology available, teams should really prep better for tendencies etc.

Kelly should be a huge upgrade (quite frankly, one of my favourite 1st round fits). Their run game really needs a spark from somewhere. Gore is past his prime and Turbin/Todman are RBBC guys. Josh Ferguson and Tyler Varga will never have a better shot at significant playing time. As a 1-2 punch, those young guys could be a nice cheap little pairing. As others have stated, an upgrade at HC & GM would solve more of the problems. I love their DL depth but there is a LOT of questions with their back 7. -

We've all had disagreements with bouncers before. I don't think anyone sane tells people he's got an AK-47 in his truck and he'll use it unless they let him in. Hell, if he had a beard and a different complexion, that lands you in a one room hotel in Cuba. I've heard other things that are less easily substantiated that are worrying if true. -

Some Colts fans that I frequently interact with don't think their OL was as bad in 2015 as the vast majority make out. One of the things I'm interesting in doing is going back over his 2015 games to see how much truth there is to that suggestion. On paper, their OL doesn't look like it should be anything higher than middle of the pack. -

I'm not exactly in the 'Luck is the best QB in the NFL' brigade but this should surprise nobody. If this is the price of keeping him, it's a smaller price than not having him. I would've thought that the Colts would've resisted making the same mistakes that they made with Peyton in roster building but it appears not. Luck can't overcome insufficient talent every year. As much as I love Hilton/Moncrief, they're no Harrison/Wayne. I hope they can add enough that he can flourish because he has an undeniably ridiculous skill set. -

EJ Manuel. His performance at Wembley made every fan thankfully for Tyrod. United most fans for a common cause. -

I'm curious about him. Only a one year full-time starter so logic suggests that he'll improve with experience. I want to see him healthy and sustaining blocks a little more. Provided that Greg Roman stays, I think he'd fit what he seems to desire at RT (I know, potential 1st rounder on a RT, ewwwwww) -
