I know it would get some irate (former Jet and all) but, if Kerley didn't make their 53 and the Bills PR situation looks shaky in preseason, I would snap him up for vet minimum. Not a great WR or anything but he could provide PR and WR depth. Maybe a Hester type would be a specialist returner at nearly 34 and we'd be carrying 4 WRs plus Easley/Hester that can't contribute in the passing game.

Gonna have a running back rotation of one play per game each.

Would actually be the most responsible thing a Bills RB has done all offseason.

It would've been nice to add him, just not at the price paid. I thought in July/August last year that I was reaching by considering him in the late 1st. Still blown away by him going #2 overall.

Rex has the kind of personality that makes me want to punch him. Repeatedly. Wouldn't hire the bloke to run my football team if it was my money. What Rex has going for him is defensive success. I like his scheme, it's a little old-fashioned in ways but it's my type of football. I can forget my dislike of the man if he gives me a winning team. If he provides a losing season in 2016, he will be the Bugs Bunny to my Elmer Fudd.

Front runner might be Cordrea Tankersley. Long, quick and Clemson - every Rex box ticked. Might be cheaper but no guarantee that he'll play to Gilmore's level. Always a chance that limiting your spend will limit your return.

Also looking to see how the likes of Kevon Seymour and Kolby Listenbee look on special teams. Ideally, Seymour takes Easley's roster spot at gunner (eventually) and Listenbee gives an option at KR.

I believe the NFL has done it before and it seems really weird that no team has touched him as a name player. Very rare to see 32 teams all feel the same way about the same player/issue. As I said, 31 other teams are welcome to him. He seems to genuinely feel remorse and has done things the right way to make amends. DV is the kind of incident that rarely happens just the once but I can't judge him by the sins of others. I won't go as far as to commend him but he definitely seems like a better candidate for a second chance than others with off-field indiscretions.

The NFL has pretty much blacklisted him. What I'd love to see is every owner pledge $885k to a domestic violence charity as a gesture that the league takes it seriously. That would be just over $28 million.
